I remember you showing us those Fire Drills. I loved watching those videos when I got home from HS each day because the alarm sounds like a whistle. I guess it wakes you up and I would trust that alarm to wake me up in my own home. I don't care if it is loud but that is the point.
zns are such a cute alarm. i see them everyday because of school and i’m used to them.
I had the ZNS in the portable buildings at my school, and they were LOUD! Except they were branded as Siemens
Yeah ZNSs are loud as hell. Although I think my Wheelock MT is louder even on low volume as I can handle a ZNS up close without covering my ears but not my MT lol. Same with my Gentex SHG
My new job has these Siemens fire alarms all over the place. The horn strobes in the hallways and the strobes only in every restroom. I can’t wait for a fire drill!

There are pull stations similar to that in the gym of Arroyo Grande High School, except they’re single action and are branded “Pry-A-Larm”, which makes me think they are from the 80’s, makes since because the campus was built in 1953, the alarms they have are Wheelock AS’ and RSS’, and this school I mentioned is not my school, my school is Nipomo High School, the smaller rival school
When I was in high school, my school actually had Wheelock ZNS Horn Strobes in the 500 building!
These are the fire alarms and pull stations that are at my school.
We have these where I work and the company just came to test them yesterday! Boy they are so loud since our building is so small, plus there are these in the bathrooms as well that make noise!!
As of early 2010, Wheelock now exclusively makes the Z-series alarm signals for Siemens. Everyone else has to use the Exceders...

Question: How did these to sync? I thought Siemens had a different Sync protocol, then Wheelock? I know at my high school (which has a Siemens system...ugh), Wheelock alarms won’t sync with Siemens, unless they’re branded by Siemens.

For the next test, you should remove the ZRS Strobe and Replace it for the Wheelock ZNS’s Cousin, the Wheelock NS.

These are now rebranded by siemens but it is the exact same as the original wheelock zns.

They replaced all the Edwards Integrities ( I loved them) into the ZNS's they also replaced the pulls with the MS501 which they had at my now burned down and now rebuilt Elementary School. Im in 11th grade now and we have to suffer with nothing but Spectrealert Classics with BG10's and some BG12's. They have the Classics in the stairwell and it hurts my ears like hell.
