I was teary eyed seeing that place. My office was just infront of that mall. During Friday after work we used to eat, hangout and watch movies there. That cinema is first class amazingly beautiful. Hope pandemic ends soon.
It’s a corona virus, which is what the common cold/flu is. It’s simply a new strain. There’s no “end”, it’s just an added strain to the viruses we already know.
Omg! My bf and I were exactly right where you were earlier last year b4 all this pandemic lockdown has started happening. Thanks for taking us through Greenbelt, Makati! The nostalgia... It feels like we r back there. We so miss Philippines. Sana oll!
It’s funny you mentioned that you are from San Diego, because I am too. I retired from the Navy 8 years ago and all my kids grew up shopping at Fashion Valley. My girlfriend and I went to Manila 2 years ago and visited Greenbelt as well. We now live in San Antonio, Texas. This video is a great reminder of our trip and plan on visiting again later this year.
Thank you for featuring one of the beautiful parks in the Philppines and showing our chapel in Greenbelt. I have not visited that chapel for almost a year due to the pandemic, Made me sad to see the place almost empty. I don't know how establishments are surviving with few people around. Love your narrative of the place. Take care and stay safe.
The walkways in Greenbelt were built in the 1990s. Thanks for this Greenbelt tour. The place is very dear to me. I lived in that area in the 1990s that's why it's so dear to me. Greenbelt back then was composed of just a few buildings. There was just Greenbelt 1 and 2. Today there are numerous buildings in the Greenbelt area. The Greenbelt Chapel is my favorite place. I go there to relax and contemplate and worship. I miss Greenbelt. It reminds me of my youth. Thank you so much for this video. I too lived in a condominium near Greenbelt during the 1990s. Greenbelt was only walking distance from my condo. I was worked there after graduating College. The original structures there are Greenbelts 1 and 2., Greenbelt Chapel, Glorietta, Landmark,SM Makati. There was no Ayala MRT station during my stay there. It's been that long.
Oh i miss Greenbelt Mall, Glorietta Mall, etc. In the evening i usually hang around with my bro and friends at Spicy Fingers Bar Resto with good live band music and foods. i've been there many many times ever since i started travelling in 2010 coming from Los Angeles, CA. I always stayed at BSA Tower or Prince Plaza 2 at Legaspi Street just across Greenbelt 5 and last time i've been there in December 2019 visiting my family for Christmas and New Year and i haven't there since the Pandemic.
Don't forget the Ayala Museum is also there. It's being renovated, and I'm not sure when it will open again. But it's a great museum to learn about Philippines history
Makati had been my home for 3 years before migrating to Canada. So many adventures and fun memories. I used to go to Greenbelt, Glorietta and Ayala malls in Makati on foot coz It's a good exercise from where I stay. I don't know if its still the same if ever I am in Makati again. Hoping for new experience and excitement there.
Wow. Thanks for sharing malati area, Pat max. I was born in the Philippines until 1984. Although I’ve been in and out of the Philippines since, I have never been there
Thanks for loving the Green belt park. It is really a beautiful and a nice place to visit and relax. Before the pandemic so many people are visiting that place. I definitely recommend to you to watch a movie in greenbelt cinema when it's going to open again. You will definitely love to watch on that cinemas. It's very comfortable and clean. You will surely enjoy the 4D cinema there. Where the seat are shaking and the winds blowing in connections to the situations of the film you are watching. So don't forget. ❤⚘❤👍❤⚘❤
despite wearing face mask, your voice still so clear, your English is well understood. enjoy your vlogging in the philippines, just take care. God bless!
Thank you for filming Greenbelt Pat.. but i should say forget the malls, i love the outside part specially in the night.. its so romantic and calming... i remember musicians are everywhere there during the night when i was back there like nearly 20 years ago (yes that long 😅😅😅) ... it brought back those time...
I miss so much Greenbelt area. I go sit outside the Church and just listen to the sermon. Greenbelt is one of my favorite area to hang around and meet with long lost friends.
Nice tour of greenbelt. It reminds me of the place where I used to work in one of the companies near greenbelt 1. Since we live in the south we visit glorietta and greenbelt once in a while. It's just sad the pandemic made that beautiful place now almost empty on weekdays.
Yes , one our favorite Restaurant Din tia pang. Good to know I will tell my daughter for that. Yes we miss movie 🍿 I guess we must visit that greenbelt mall.
Yup Patmax is one of my faves Utubers so far so interesting, it gets me idea about 🇵🇭since i am residing in🇯🇵 for so long, never been around Manila malls in 2 decades now sng that made me excited watching 👍🙏💖
Didn't know you're in the Philippines at the moment, just watched your jiufen video awhile ago. Haven't been to greenbelt in probably a year with covid and all. I'm surprised by the changes, like starbucks closed. Btw, if you continue walking out of greenbelt, there's a park that's nice to walk through as well. And on sunday mornings, if you walk even further, the parking lot there becomes the legaspi market where a lot of good stuff are sold. Plenty of different kinds of food, worth making a video of it on it's own.
You are such a sweet person and I see a lot of kindness in you 👍 I grew up in Bel-Air in Makati. I don't recognize the place anymore. I've been in the Bay Area for over 30 years now. Thanks for showing that area.
Waiting for your new vloggs😀. Try to visit also some of the big universities in the Philippines like University of Sto Tomas, University of the Philippines, etc. Keep safe!
Just found your channel and enjoying your content. Greenbelt is my Favorite place in Makati❤️ I always visit when I go home to Phils. I live in San Diego and it’s neat to find out you’re from here too! Looking forward to watching more of your adventures😊
I was there Sunday - around Greenbelt after visiting a nearby fee market - next to Washington Park Plus walked around SM & adjacent malls today - with lunch
waah, I miss this place. I used to serve at greenbelt chapel in the 90's. I've worked in Ayala and use to walk thru those walkways and malls. made me reminisce those days.!!!
Great video! Greenbelt and SM malls are my favorite malls in Makati. I haven’t been back in years and yes I hope the pandemic dies down so that I can visit again.
Hello watching from San Diego Ca. New sub here. I miss Greenbelt. We were there last January for a vacay. Cant wait to go back there. Miss Philippines so much.
so strange and funny watching this from paris, i cant remember how many times i made that ayala MRT station to greenbelt journey before i moved here haha
OMG, Ayala Mall is so different than it was yrs n yrs n yearsssssss ago-- so very clean; not much class B n C ppl walking only those class A ppl unlike here in Vegas strip. But atleast it's not raining!!
Greenbelt so amazing place i was there last 2019 i love the place so relaxing hope i can go back there when the pandemic is gone, thanks Patrick 👍😍stay safe much love ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Patrick! We do have quite a number of Friday’s restos in Mateo Manila. We have Chili’s too. 😋 i love Greenbelt! So glad you like our malls. Stay safe always!
Magandang umaga, Pat. Greenbelt is my favorite spot in Makati, safer wifi is fast and there are many restos to choose from. Sadly the pandemic forced many of them to close. Thanks much for showing Greenbelt today
I really appreciate your videos on metro Manila areas. Hardly anyone else doing this. I have a SRRV visa for PI and was out-of-country in March 2020 when trying to fly back, the airline said PI banned all foreigners. Hardly any detailed info on what is/was going on. eg, during a lockdown, no public transports. So, how would an arriving passenger get from the airport to his residence? In other countries, some public transports are considered "essential service". By the way, the supermarket on the ground floor of SM mall sometimes have reasonable prices on fruits and vegetables. Also, has giant containers of many spices. Outside SM mall is a small building with electronic stores.
Hey Pat 😅 I suggest you do youtube live Q and A before the day you'll officially leave the Philippines. To make it more look memorable for us and for you 😁
Hello from Southern California! Wow! Green belt looks amazing! I used to go there a lot after work to beat the traffic so many years ago since its near my office. Nice video Patmax.
Thanks for sharing your everyday ventures, loved it! Its been a while since I visited that place, will add that on my next trip to Philippines 🇵🇭 😊 ♥ enjoy your stay and Looking forward for more of your adventures 😀
Miss watching movies in movie theaters. But my favorite go-to cinema would be Powerplant Mall in Rockwell (Makati). That's highly recommended. Intimate, classy and no need to do so much walking. Next would be the ones in BGC (Uptown Mall and BHS Central). If you're going for any SM cinema, don't go for the regular cinemas (but SM Aura is ok). Go for their Director cinemas if watching alone.
I think we dropped by the chapel when my Mom was visiting and staying at the New World Makati Hotel! I love going to the cinemas in the Philippines mainly because of the flavored popcorn (cheese, barbecue, or sour cream). Did your interest in animals arise from a visit to the San Diego Zoo? As to religion, your attitude is actually very Filipino, as I have found most Filipinos to pray a lot, yet not necessarily attend religious services.
I was teary eyed seeing that place. My office was just infront of that mall. During Friday after work we used to eat, hangout and watch movies there. That cinema is first class amazingly beautiful. Hope pandemic ends soon.

I appreciate that you personally avoid crowds. You are part of the solution in solving this pandemic issue by not being a spreader. :) stay safe.
Thank you!
Wow, that place is amazing, what a lovely way to spend a morning..you look nice and relaxed too, great video Pat, stay safe..🙂

Don't forget the Ayala Museum is also there. It's being renovated, and I'm not sure when it will open again. But it's a great museum to learn about Philippines history

Malls come and go but Greenbelt remains at the top of my list. Btw, I found an ally when you said, "I'm not religious but spiritual."

Greenbelt is amazing place. Thank you for the tour Patrick .
I agree with you about San Diego’s Fashion Valley which is a smaller version of Makati’s Greenbelt area. 🇵🇭🇺🇸
Fashion valley mall is much larger than green belt! Greenbelt is a smaller version of fashion valley with a garden and church. That’s why I like it 😊
@@PatMaxAdventures Funny, but I felt otherwise. LOL
Your vlog is interesting 💗 and the way you are describing the areas is so refreshing to my ears 💕💕💕 Subscribed!
Welcome to the channel!
I miss that place. That’s one of my favorite mall in Manila.
Miss walking through Makati's Mall. Thanks Pat! 😍

OMG, dame pala nagshutdwn this Pandemic! BETCHA-MAI-GOLLY, starbucks, Havana, n some watering holes-- most of them they're all gone!!!!🤤🤤🤤🤤
I missed the place❤️❤️❤️❤️
Try the floating cinema in Venice Grand Mall.
Me too missed Movie Theatre
Come to think of it Makati is really more beautiful than BGC because it has a lot more to offer than fancy malls and skyscrapers.
I love the place its a park & mall at the same time . Patmax did you enjoy your stroll in makati mall ?
Yes, I did!😊
