Heat up the iron and then work a cheap paracetamol tablet over the surface (holding it between tweezers). It’s amazingly effective. There’ll be other videos on RUclips that show this paracetamol method - check ‘em out.
GUYS, WHAT I DID IS THE SAME.
1ST: PUT THE IRON ON HEAT, EVEN JUST WARM, NOT THAT HOT.
2ND:PUT TOOTHPASTE; IT WILL EVEN MELT, THEN GENTLY SCATTER AROUND THE IRON PLATE.
3RD: ADD THE BAKING POWDER AND SOME SALT
4TH: MIX IT GENTLY UNTIL THE TOOTHPASTE IS COVERED BY IT.
5TH: RINSE A BIT OF WATER. "A BIT"
THEN.
6TH: GET A TISSUE OR TOILET TISSUE, AND GENTLY SCRAB IT AROUND THE BLACK OR DIRTY PARTICLES..
7TH: DO IT AGAIN. UNTIL THE PARTICLES IS GONE.🎉
Should the cleaning of the iron box done when the plug is on or heat it then switch off then the cleaning?

Would I use a same method if I have a pieces of magazine stuck on it? Looks like some dumb nut placed it back into the box that it came with after using it without cooling it down. He must had left a Aldi’s catalog in it because after some days I tried to take it out to use it I realized this. The cover of it ripped and a large portion of the catalog stuck on the iron. Like I said would I still use the same method?
Try soaking the paper off and then doing this but don’t use toilet paper because it will get stuck in the holes

Without plug, heat for few seconds then unplug and start the cleaning process
I use blade to scrape it out. 1st the iton box for few seconds, unplug and scrape with blade.
Pre heat the iron and then sprinkle some flour (aata) on it then rub with steel scrubber and see the magic 99.9% works.
Make it warm first?

Never do it with steam iron because after that steam iron won't heat anymore
I use a belt sander. Cleans them up quickly
I use sand paper and its quick fast

Paracetamol is the easiest easiest way try it.
Rub the paracetamol on heated iron and clean carefully with cloth.

It can happen, I have one burnt too. Most probably synthetic clothes got burned because of temperature setting mistake.
Too much work. Heat the iron. Rub down plate with a dryer sheet until clean. Wear a glove to protect wiping hand 'cause it gets hot !!
