@AntiWhere Forest is Also the bassist in Augury, B.A.R.F., and First Fragment. Dudes an Insanely talented bassist and is also Incredibly Nice and appreciates his fans.
Technically Chuck Schuldiner is not only the father of death metal but also of Technichal death metal and it can be verified with his project "Control Denied" of which they only recorded 1 album Unfortunately
That bass at 18:52...Damn, so good. Man, I can't stop listening to this album. It's so damn good. Catchy, aggresive, dynamic, technical, groovy. Very well produced, where you can hear every instrument (finally bass lines are well audible and they don't alway follow guitars!!!). Beast of a recording.
Tied with Earthborn Evolution imo. And then a level or two below we find Algorithm. But those first two were MASTERPIECES! Best 2-album run since Symbolic & The Sound of Perseverance!
I'm not into death metal, yet i still think this is the best album i've come across in the last couple of years, aside from the brutal voice, you can actually hear all the instruments, the bass is just sublime, overall the music has incredible lines and melodies, it shows the dedication and the time spent on crafting such a wonderful album. This is an artpiece.
this is the first death metal band I've heard who's bassist uses a fretless bass and actually knows how to play the damn thing I just discovered this band an hour ago, and I have to say, I am impressed
This is just an all round Tech Death masterpiece. The musicianship is otherworldly and the vocals are killer. Of course, I would be remiss not to mention the stellar bass work.
j'ai entendu ce groupe la première fois il y a une semaine et il tourne en boucle depuis. tous très forts et la basse est magnifique. bref,j'adore, bravo les gars ne changez rien.
Met these guys at Summer Slaughter @ Rams head 2015. Fucking great show, and the dudes were super nice to me. Got three of them to sign their drumstick for me.
I prefer the classical/technical death approach of modern metal bands like Beyond Creation, First Fragment, Obscura, Fleshgod Apocalypse than the Djenty/jazzy hipster metal like Periphery, TesseracT, Veil Of Maya, Intervals... not saying they're bad but my friend kept showing me those bands in his car and I didn't really dig that sound. I'll always dig that Necrophagist influence over the Meshuggah type of craze haha.
basspl4y4 As someone who loves and enjoys both, I would say don’t beat it till ya try it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ after a while of listening to both, it just depends on what I feel like listening too: Death metal prog, or djenty prog? Also, I recommend checking out The Faceless if you haven’t already
this álbum is a masterpiece. It shows that "modern" death metal can be as good as the old school. im not going to many concerts today, but this is the only Band that i would pay to see. the other one is Black sabbath!
Their first album is very similar... They just released a new album that is excellent but a bit more on the atmospheric side. Obscura is also a band that is "keeping it real" :)
It's great that we still have people, that are / who are real musicians....In these times, something real, is worth its weight in gold...Too much fake sh*t around...
And the award for band name that best describes their sound goes to........ This is way out there and I mean that in a good way. Progressive Metal + Death Metal = epic shit! That bass tho!
esta chidito, puro death metal bien atascado con sus solos de guitarrita mamadores de vez en cuando, es como si hubieran grabado al viejo Morbid Angel con buena calidad de audio
Chromatic Horizon, by its structure and its musicality, is comparable to the best classical pieces of music. The production is so magnificent too ! It's just too bad that that bassist left the band :(
www.heavyblogisheavy.com/2015/02/18/beyond-creation-loses-bassist-dominic-forest-lapointe/ I believe that they have a new bassist now, but i don't know his name
1- no request for the corruption 2- coexistence is futile 3- google chromatic horizon 4- omnipresent perceptive 5- injustice reveal 6- lay detenteur 7- the we bow In its aura 8- social disabilities 9- elevation pathology 10- the deporting
I enjoy the bass on this album
Youd be stupid not to! Lol
That's why half of us are here.
Dom Forest has a weird way of putting a band on the map, then getting the fuck out of it when it becomes too big.
@AntiWhere Forest is Also the bassist in Augury, B.A.R.F., and First Fragment.
Dudes an Insanely talented bassist and is also Incredibly Nice and appreciates his fans.
Madvayne da bess!
Multi-dimensional Death metal. I can't stop listening to this!
Exatamente
Chuck Schuldiner would absolutely love this.
Yes he would, as does Steve Di Giorgio, i'd imagine...
Technically Chuck Schuldiner is not only the father of death metal but also of Technichal death metal and it can be verified with his project "Control Denied" of which they only recorded 1 album Unfortunately
Holy true
@@XxfReEmAnxX7 The correct answer is "the father of progressive death metal"

'Coexistence' has some absolutely beautiful string arrangements.

Cried during the bass solo of Omnipresent Perception...
That solo is a real masterpiece, what a feeling ...
The solo started playing at the exact moment I decided to check the comments and read yours lol. This band is awesome
I'd cry too if my name was Waffle Ape.
@@francofrogg Okay, guy named francofrogg lol.

You can always feel the aura coming out of every song in this album....
The intro of the song the aura is so perfect its indescriptable
saw these guys last night with rivers of nihil revocation and obscura and it is hands down one of the best gigs i have ever been to :D

@@meocats no need to be a dick. Death metal isn't everyone's cup of tea jackass.
Jaco Pastorius would love Beyond Creation.
That part at 8:30 with the breakdown and then the tapping is clearly "beyond" this world !
Really a *beyond creation*
Beyond Creation is Beyond the Creation.
what makes this band sick is that you can actually HEAR the bass!
And the bass is absolutely phenomenal.

Check out augury and quo vadis , same bassist. have fun
***** Doing Satan's work my son, keep going (y)
Check out Obscura band; that bass is awesome. Greetings :)
How does this keep getting better each time I listen to it
This is just an all round Tech Death masterpiece. The musicianship is otherworldly and the vocals are killer. Of course, I would be remiss not to mention the stellar bass work.
you should hear augury
I enjoy this band so much, every one of their albums and their artworks are god tier.
Dat six string fretless Bass
No shit, it pulled me in. I'm also a huge fan of Intronaut who also uses fretless bass(5 string), so this was an instant hit with me
Some absolutely amazing bass

I wouldn't call myself a Beyond Creation fan, but this is my all time favorite album and it's no contest.

Progressive death metal is astonishing and hella breathtakingly badass \m/
I'm reading Frankenstein and listening to this great music
Nice to read I´m not the only one still reading for joy
I fell asleep listening to this and one of the ads fucking woke me up. I was having an awesome dream too.
John Dough I agree
you must be a very heavy sleeper if you can sleep to this
I love how death metal doesn't wake you up but an ad does
I also sleep while listening to techDeath👍🤘
well if you like the genre it doesn't sound aggressive like it does to others.
Gonna see this sick band November 4th in Prague along with Rivers of Nihil, Revocation and Obscura is headlining that shit. Gonna be sick.
Just came from the concert in Oslo. Was awesome !
Thane Krios if really like to see Revocation! How were they?
Travelled to London last year to see that same line-up, phenomenal gig that was.
they are so god damn amazing, seen them twice now
I love Revocation.
Remains one of the best death metal albums of the decade.
This album got me into the Death Metal genre, one of my favorite release to this day.
