Captain, UA has about 40 B73G's and they are almost like "rocket ships" with the -700 being so small. N21723 (UAL3834) was a maintenance flight TPA-TPA. Now the second -700 was headed to IAH as UAL2675 with a big load of fuel due to having to go around a huge pile of weather over the Gulf. Very nice job again and thanks for your spotting TPA.

I do say it’s a very nice looking livery. Here’s an aviation update also: Arizona, Maryland, and Louisiana One are being repainted onto the B738 soon but I’m not sure when. I believe the Missouri, Florida, and Colorado Ones will follow later in the year. Very nice of Southwest moving the older liveries onto newer aircrafts but I’m going to miss them also. This makes all the old liveries on the B737 now onto the B738. Congrats on your grandson also!
The truck cleans the build up of rubber on runways and taxiways. Better than using hand scrapers and a small army. The main reason the Gulfstreams deploy one or both t/r’s on taxi out, other than one time for ops check, is to keep the taxi speed down without using the brakes. They are overpowered enough to get a bit fast on taxi!! Congrats on the grandson!!!
Capt Steve- You mentioned our new rules at ATL. They need them for all of the construction work that is going on, but those of us who have to pick up someone and us plane nuts don’t like them much. We hope that they won’t have them very long.
The big parking garage is being torn down and a new one is coming to take its place. If you think that TPA has lots of construction, you haven’t seen anything yet. ATL is on fire.
During late spring/early summer and into the fall, I try to fly only in the early morning to avoid those afternoon T-storms. Doesn't always work, but sometimes it does. There are some days when mother nature flexes her muscles and we just have to stop and respect her power. I think the key is that you have to build enough flexibility into your plans so that you can just roll with it when things don't go according to plan. In Aviation, a million little things have to go right for a flight to depart and land on time. Any little thing can train wreck a schedule.
Well said 👍 we do as well. Upcoming flight to Amsterdam I have us a 5 hour layover in ATL as we wont leave TPA until noon. We will camp out in the terminal F sky club 😊
