Just to point out. The wolf’s name is Fenrir. Sofna was part of the “Prayer” he was saying
sofna means fall asleep
@@CVNVET I’m saying “prayer” as not to say spoilers
Sofna roughly translates to sova, or sleep in swedish.
There is a whole conversation Kratos has with Faye in the dream about how he cant keep hiding from his problems and that Atreus is right. But the version you guys are watching cut all of that out.
Yes, also a lot of important conversations while walking.
I feel like the cutscenes alone aren’t enough to truly understand the full story, so hopefully they will consider watching another version where all of that is included
@@Menno0183 this version also didnt show the secret message behind Durlin's "fine"-paper, dont know if there are other versions tho
I hate when these compilations cut thematically important moments. Like, guys that conversation was supposed to mirror Kratos current situation , you can’t cut it 😭😭😭
Well, let's keep these comments going and hopefully they will notice and watch a version that is more complete. Otherwise, they are going to have a very confusing and hollow experience.
These stupid gaming content uploaders just want to make money out of the views. they don't want to work hard on the content. just want easy short videos. the problem is all of them cut out some content that others have included. whenever a new game is released, they don't want to enjoy the story of the game. they just rush through it so they can upload it on youtube before anyone else, so they can get the maximum views. this really sucks.
You guys should try watching another version of the cutscenes. This one seems to cut out the conversations they have while traveling, riding the boat, walking, etc. They add more context and are important to the story.
You are right. I see many comments like yours and i really do hope they change version.
that would just prolong the video..
they can always watch a compilation of those travel tales in another reaction video cause there are a million of those available.
@@shadestorm3995 It's not just travel tales tho. It's dialogue relating to the main plot, it's dialogue in those sections the game forces you to slow walk and talk
It doesn't even need to be the whole story with travel tales, just the important stuff relating to the immediate plot like in Kratos' dream of Faye and stuff like that
@@BTBSOUNDS Agreed. Remember "The Riddle" at the end of the game. With all the build-up cut out and just leaving the act, they are not going to understand the whole significance and weight of "The Riddle". Otherwise this will be a dissatisfying and unappreciated reaction for these two with this version from GameClips. They need to switch NOW!!!
Kinda wished the video showed more dialogue between cutscenes. Really adds context to the story imo.
If you guys want to hear the interactions and see the characters develop or have fun, i suggest watching the cutscenes from Gamer’s Little Playground. Plus there are important dialogues you might miss.
For example, they are not going to fully understand "The Riddle" at the end of the game(If you seen the whole game before, you know what I'm talking about without spoiling it) if there is no dialogue that was leading up that point. It is going to be very confusing and will have very little impact at that crucial moment. Contexts matters. Gameclips is just cutting out the build up of the details and just leaving the act which will have a very dissatisfying and underappreciation reaction.
I was about to say the same thing.. 😂
They picked wrong walkthrough cutscene this time dude cutting alot
pretty sure gamers little playground cuts things out too, not as much but they do.
I would recomemend you guys to watch another video, this one cuts out a lot of in game dialogue that is very important to the story and only leaves the actual cutscenes
Yup I second this it's missing important story bits
yes i think they forgot
Yeah change videos
they def wont be switching since they started this video already but i agree with you, even dialogue that's not even story related but helps add to their characters like atreus asking kratos how to get his muscles or his beard
@@simonsupersad1722 they did for the first god of war
Only thing that sucks about these types of cutscene videos is there's a lot of dialog that's missed between cutscenes. I'm sure some get left it but there's a lot of important stuff getting missed from what I can tell
Let's keep these comments going before they get too deep in this horrible version of the GOW chapter.
Hmm seems wherever you are watching from skipped the Fenrir dialogue before Freya's attack. That's too bad. Hopefully they don't skip some of the other "walking" dialogue. They can give lots of context.
Oh seems it is skipping all of that. For context when traveling home Atreus says he is sorry he couldnt take the shot on Freya. Kratos responds with "I didn't want you too."
Kratos understands Freya and is "fine" with her trying to kill him.
Thats what I was thinking
This is really bad because of how it’s removing it. The dialogue is very important.
whatever video they chose is cutting out almost every in game dialogue
Yeah this is the problem with making cutscene "movies" from video games, the gameplay part can have storytelling too
It also skipped the conversation with Faye, which is the entire point of the dream.
Whatever video you guys are watching is just cutting out EVERY in game dialogue. I'd reccomend to find another video that respects the narrative more, because those in game diologue is what helps drive the characters and story furthur.
Yeah I noticed that too. Like the whole Thor fight was so... Underwhelming for some reason even tho the fight in game was so much better because of all the dialogue
I found the video they cut allot of dialogue
It's cutting most of the gameplay and keeping the cutscenes, theirs a 19 hour version of the Gamers Playground video that is much better, if they can switch to that@@Kai_Forest_Elf
I just finished watching the video and man it's so disappointing how they only included cutscenes. There's a lot of character building that's done out of a cutscene which is why this game was so good
Yeah without the dialogue you guys would be on fryas and kratos sides
I hope jaby sees this video and tells them that theyre watching one where literally everything is being cut out
I hope so too before they go to far in this version. Let's keep these comments going.
@@cs-zz7jd exactly the dialogue answers there questions then here nothing like when Freya gets defeated atreus says sorry I didn't take the shot Kratos says I do not wish you to and says I robbed her of her choice then that makes you realize that Freya is in pain and Kratos accepts that also with durlin when he gives them the find and then they go outside and turns out he did give them what they wanted but they took that out of the video and the girls think that durlin is just an assehole
@@JesG. Yeah, I remember the details, but this version they are watching is SOOOOOO INCOMPLETE AND HOLLOW.
A lot of important conversations are missing. Watch another video
Yes before going to far. Idk if yall will see this but I suggest finding a different vid that doesn't skip important dialogue for the walking parts because this vid has skipped all of them so far a lot of context y'all are missing because of it love y'all's reactions tho
Gamer's Little Playground version is pretty good.
1:03 - The eye scar from Ghost of Sparta: "...Am I a joke to you?"
Whatever video you guys are reacting to is skipping A LOT of scenes. A ton of dialog and very important context for the events of the story. I appreciate and thoroughly enjoy the reactions, but you guys should probably find one that doesn't skip out so much content!
Please, if possible, watch another version of this. There is one of 15 hours and sure, it is very long but it shows more important dialogues between the characters which adds more depth to the story. Without it, you will just have a hollow experience.
This is wild tho. These ragnarok videos are seemingly going to be skipping so much important dialogue and focusing only on cinematics. Thats bad
For example, they are not going to fully understand "The Riddle" at the end of the game(If you seen the whole game before, you know what I'm talking about without spoiling it) if there is no dialogue that was leading up that point. So I know it’s 15 & a half hours but please consider starting this over and using Gamers Little Playground’s version of GoW: Ragnarok. It’s all cutscenes and it has the convos that this one is skipping while they are traveling on foot, on the boat, etc. Please consider it if there’s enough ask for it. I tried to put the link to the vid but my comment keeps getting deleted so you can find it. Like for instance at the 17 min mark it makes a crazy cut that cuts out very important dialogue made by Mimir and Kratos during the trek to find Atreus which GLP doesn’t do.
YES!!! I am a fan of Gamer Little Playground's channel. They do a good job of having a little gameplay with the dialogues and the cutscenes. It's like you are watching a movie actually.
Make sure this includes the valhalla dlc as well! Its an amazing story for kratos
I hope it does
I love that the dlc came out as they were reacting to the games
You know what, I may have a video suggestion to help. A RUclipsr named Shirrako has their own version of their Cutscenes and it also includes additional dialogue to complete the story context. PLUS IT'S ROUGHLY 7 HOURS AS WELL, WIN-WIN if I say so myself
(Placing it as a standalone comment to make it more visible)
This version you guys are watching is skipping quite a few important diologue scenes. Like when faye told kratos that they shoudlnt hide and instead help solve a problem even though its not in their door step. Id recommend switching to a different video.
This cutscene compilation seems to be sticking exclusively to the cinematics and keeping almost none of the in-game dialogue (or side-quests). To a decent extent, I can understand that; it's hours of content that doesn't exactly make for concise viewing. But at the same time, some of the mid-mission conversation in this game has some fairly significant context that impacts the characters and/or story. It's a shame you won't see it at best and might hurt your understanding of events at worst.
Also I love that your opinions of the Huldra brothers, though much more positive, do reflect Kratos' opinions of the two of them. He likes Brok more than Sindri because the former "speaks plain".
They need to switch to a more complete version to have a better understanding and appreciation.
Dialogues during gameplay are very important, look for other videos with less cuts please
Like everyone is saying this isn't the best version of cutscenes. I'm sure ya'll have already reacted to most or all of it but if you haven't I'd look up a version (if there is) that includes the important dialogue in between. It's far too essential for the story to miss, and while it may be longer, it's way more worth it. Just a thought.
So fun fact, Sunny Suljic, Atreus's actor, had to re-record all of his dialogue because his voice dropped in the middle of production😂😂😂
This version cuts a LOT of dialogue and context from the cutscenes. I don’t want to go into it because of spoilers for later game but some of the stuff they cut is pretty important imo
Gameclips is just cutting out the build up of the details and just leaving the act which will have a very dissatisfying and underappreciation reaction.
please find another version!!!! this one cuts off a lot of the important dialogue and action sequences that happen between cut scenes for context! im pretty sure Gamer's Little Playground has a good version
This is where the fun begins!!!! The moment we've all been waiting for!!!!! 🙏🏽💪
Something that you have to realize is Kratos is old. What I mean by that is that it has been estimated by many people that from God of War 3 to God of War (2018) about 1,000 to 1,500 years have passed. He is almost 2000 years old.
Age doesn't really impact Gods though, unless they let it.
Meaning they will only look older if they choose to, if they want to remain looking young they will, they have some control over that.
The reason Kratos looks to be visibly aging is because he chooses to, because he'd rather live as a man than a God.
But it won't actually make him slower or weaker, it's just a visual thing.
Like Odin and Zeus for example, they both looked like old men yet were still very strong and fast.
33:51 It wasn’t a knockout, Kratos actually died and Thor brought him back just because he wants smoke.
Danielle Bisutti absolutely killed it as Freya.
Ryan Hurst (Opie from Sons of Anarchy) plays Thor if you didn't figure that out yet.
For a while I thought it was Josh Brolin till my roommate realized who it really was 😂
Its a shame you guys only watch the main storyline. Everything in-between really gives the story room to breath with great side content and so much context to a lot of dialogue and other characters you'll never get to know.
that would be like 20 hours my guy, that is not counting the interactions that are during secondary fights, just the walking bits
@@GabrielRojasAhumada I know. I didn't say they had to. My full Ragnarok playthrough was 60+ hours long. I understand they'll never do it on reaction but hopefully they play the game on their gaming channel.
@@Ghost_Lomein They can watch versions like Gamer's Little Playground and just watch when they can like other reactionary channel's have.
@@cs-zz7jd agreed. Hopefully they see this and maybe choose a different channel that covers a bit more. The cuts in this version kind of does the story no favors.

Why do those cutscene videos they react to not have in-game moments for more context?! There's more to be explained

Man that scene with Fenrir hit me so hard. My dog of 10 years died a month before i played this. Was not expecting that scene. This whole game actually helped me with my grieving. It was a beautiful story.
Unfortunately, this version is cutting out way too much stuff. There are conversations that happen during normal gameplay that are important to the story (e.g. a pretty significant convo after Kratos fights Atreus as a bear, where they discuss what happened to Fenrir the wolf, there's more info from Brok after the Kratos v Thor fight), the little things really count in this one. maybe try another video like this one (ruclips.net/video/T77URCcV1SA/видео.html&ab_channel=Gamer%27sLittlePlayground) it's a little longer so more parts will be required

the thor fight is genuinely one of my favorite boss fights in all of gaming
"Oh, you've got a model father here."
One of my favorite lines from the game lol
I wish we had more fights with Thor in Ragnarok, with Baldur we had 3. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the Thor fights, I just wish we had 3 instead of 2. Also, I wish the fights could have been more destructive.

"The fuck you say?!"
To bad this version of the boss fight it heavily cut out. Including all of the diologue they have in game
I do not like whatsoever how much this video is cutting out. It's literally just skipping cutscene to cutscene. There's so much context lost and so many cool things that characters talk about. During the walking sections, they're integral to the story.
For example, they are not going to fully understand "The Riddle" at the end of the game(If you seen the whole game before, you know what I'm talking about without spoiling it) if there is no dialogue that was leading up that point. @@msbkaioken136 I don't understand it either. They done it right on GOW 2018, but they are half-assing it in Ragnarok. I don't know who suggested to them to watch from GameClips, but they are going to get cheated out of the experience.
Watching this reaction made me realize how much narrative and story is told and done during gameplay (even if it's walking around). They are already missing out on a lot of extra context
Freya yelled KRATOS! And the forest gone mad still gave me chill
Amazing performance 👏
It didn't show on the video because it skipped it, but Kratos' wife Faye was calling him "Grumbles", just a funny detail.
Hmmm I think I prefer watching god of ragnarok cutscenes that just don’t leave you questioning or missing out some context 😊
Edit: For example gamers little playground might help you guys get a full version of the story AND most dialogues you won’t miss 😊
Exactly
This one cuts alot of the gameplay so dialogue is missed
Let's keep these comments going before it's too late. Otherwise, this is going to be disappointing reaction to a heavily edited, shallow version.
@@cs-zz7jd yeah I watched the original video and I skipped where there's no cutscenes and they get cut out
I agree with the other people. So much context is being cut because most of the dialogue is also within the gameplay itself, and not just the cutscenes, kinda like how y'all's did with the other GoW games. Just hope you guys consider looking for ones that includes bits of gameplay that matters and completes the whole context of the story, ya know? This watchalong series is amazing btw, keep it up!
I'm very happy with Kratos' development! my favorite game character! and first game I played as a child! ♎️❤️🇧🇷
I love how you guys just go deeper and deeper into the gaming world, watching different games. Love the reactions! Would ever you do Tomb Raider or Final Fantasy? Maybe even the Last of Us 1 and 2 game's cutscenes? I guess there are so many to choose from, though.
The last of us is a very good suggestion
Ok the person who recorded these cutscenes decided to cut away after Kratos woke up from his dream, on his little mission to find Atreus we found the dead bear and all the trails of Atreus’s bear rampage!
Ugh! You really are better off watching this GOW Ragnarok on Gamer's Little Playground channel. Gameclips is strictly showing the cutscenes with NO little gameplay in between which holds very important dialogue banter among the characters which add character development and depth to the story. You are missing out on too much!!!
In terms of being close to accurate with Norse Mythology, this is my favorite interpretation of Thor and Odin. Thor has always originally been depicted in Norse mythology as a redhead and a mountain of a man. And as for Odin, the inspiration for him was chess or pool hustlers. Guys that make you think they’re the nicest guys in the world all while they’ve robbed you of everything.
I love this version of Odin straight up sounds like a mob boss every sentence is a threat he can and will carry out
Bro that’s what I was saying! This man was a whole ass Mafia Don.
Considering this Odin is a manipulator through and through, that's very fitting.
And Thors his muscle
I was skeptical of Odin's design when I first saw him but it completely won me over as the game went on. Now it's tough for me to imagine Odin being portrayed any other way.
He always seemed more like a cult leader to me. The charisma, the short temper, and the idolism he attributes to himself just screams cult leader
Now that I think about it, I don't have nightmares for years now, and that's crazy. I only had a few nightmares IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, all in my very early childhood.
I just start tearing up at any given point, crying when animals die, when exposition is given, and when I watch these reaction videos, it feels like I'm watching emotionally stunted children. I must be too fragile for this world; and the commentary is so prosaic, so dead, I can't fathom how people consider this pablum constitutes genuine humanity.
Fun fact: the guy playing the instrument at 52:55 is actually voiced by the main musical director for the game
Ahhh yes!!!
Kratos in 2018: “Boy”
Kratos 2023: “Home”
Most famous words from our God
“Nature will take its course”… one of my favorite lines from this part of the game
the last punch from the first fight that Kratos gave to Thor was the first time Thor felt how powerful Kratos truly was. Thor made him not hold back.
Talk a little less story is too intricate to have a running commentary between the story... respectfully requesting......
Great video guys, been loving your reactions to the series but if possible, try to find a version that includes a bit of gameplay that has dialogue whether walking or on boat. I feel like you’ll get more context on the story of Ragnarok with the characters and situations that take place in the game. Can’t wait to see the other parts keep it up!
BTW the Dwarf playing the wind-up instrument I believe is the in game composer
I am an grown men but i still cry on Fenrir's death
For reference on his age some say that he is around 150 in the recent games at this point
Yea this is bad plz find a different ragnarok video this one is skipping all of the important dialogue aside from the cinematics
Gameclips is just cutting out the build up of the details and just leaving the act which will have a very dissatisfying and underappreciation reaction.
one thing I must say is that pls do a Valhalla cutscenes also. It is an amazing DLC which was given to the fans from the producers for free and explains a lot about Kratos's past in Greece. It is amazing with a bunch of new content
I feel there are key voice lines missing, lines which don’t happen in the cutscenes…
Not truly important but it does have some details of stuff said or happening in the cutscenes which add more context; like the conversation the 3 of them had while crawling under an area, the one about Atreus swearing when they fell🤔…
This is the Edit: if by any reason Ya’ll read this part, you should switch the video you watch because there’s normal dialogue crucial to certain points of certain cutscenes, pieces of dialogue that only pop up during certain gameplay sections and this edit you’re watching skips all of that dialogue
They need to go with the version that keeps all the dialogues that completes the characters and the story.
@@cs-zz7jd and if they keep using this version, they will skip THE Riddle which wouldn’t make sense in THAT cutscene if they don’t listen to the key points of dialogue that happen during gameplay🤔
@@ovyto6267 Oh my god, YES!!! That seriously will ruin depth of the story and the characters leading up to that point. Otherwise, they are not going to understand it with this BS version from GameClips.
This is my second time watching the cut scenes😊.
I have already finished watching GOW gameplays.
You guys really gotta watch someone else play this
When you guys get to the end of this story, remember that the dlc Valhalla is important to watch to conclude Kratos story after the sequel.
I forgot how much acting is in this game. And it's well done. It's like watching a TV show that you can play lol
Baldur became a monster because of Freyas spell. He isn't bad at heart.
Oh and the wolf who died is named fenrir not sofnia
The cut they are watching is cutting out a lot of dialogue
You two are so wholesome together. Love both your reactions to one of my favorites game series. God bless ❤️
The version of GOW you watched from 2018 was perfect, they didn’t cut most of the dialogue if any between cutscenes, we urge you to please find a version that is like that for GOW ragnarok
Atreus has the power of loki from mythology shape-shifting and all
26:31 Those are Odin's crows... Huginn and Muninn
I’m not sure if they are able to because of the amount of time it would take but a Cutscenes reaction of Red Dead Redemption 2 would be pretty great. There’s a Gamers Little Playground video that’s about 19 hours long. Would definitively be worth it though as it is a truly incredible piece of fiction.
Also for God Of War Ragnarok, Hopefully they also watch the Valhalla DLC Cutscenes as it gives a lot of closure post story
I completely agree, hopfully they can make this happen one day
@@latrelljack8751 Well, they better do it now before they go to deep and it takes away the genuine and authentic reaction to the complete version. Hopefully, with similar comments keep racking up, they will start over with a new and better version.
I love how Only God of war videos getting insane views compared to other videos
Scot here, I'm taking that as a compliment 😂. The Highland Games event with the pole is called the 'caber toss' btw 🙂👍
Youre watching a weird version!
Cuts out the transitional dialogue thats helps make sense between moment to moment…
The thing is Odin comes in really strong with the negotiations. But he overplays his hand offering to take care of Freya. Everything was almost in line with what Kratos wanted, but he overstepped in trying to take responsibility for someone else's life. That's when Kratos really decided against them. The whole mafia act wasn't worth shit to him till that point.
35:31 No, he wanted to see the old god of war that Kratos used to be
Yeah. There is unfortunately so much missing, like Kratos thoughts towards Freya, the Search for Atreus as a bear, Brocks conversation with Kratos on his way home, Kratos and Atreus talking about trust on their way towards the wolf shrine, Mimer explaining how Fimblewinter is effecting Svartelhelm and explaining the colture and history of the dwarves, Atreus explaining that the papper note thay reseved was actually a map in secret, and so on and so on.
It is of course understandeble to why this is. Back in the day, cutscene movies were all that you needed, because that was how games were designed back then. The Halo Games are a good example of this. But in the modern day of gaming, where cutscenes are not premande renders and are now in game real-time renders, important information and character building is being delivered during the gameplay. This is highlighted perfectly for the side quests in this game.
If all of the reactions have already been made, then it is what it is. The cutscene movie is telling a great story, regardless of the extra diolage. What's making people go a little "extra" over this has to do with information that WE know about that YOU don't know about. Because we know, we want you to know it too. Because we know what's coming, we know what has to be included for the most optimal experience. At least, that is my interpretation of why this is a huge deal for some people.
They can now react to the comedy "All the greek and norse god after fighting Kratos by MalsWRLD" right?
Like everyone is saying, in game dialogues are important. Why do you always pick these ones with only cutscenes with such games ? And it also makes me feel that these cinematic videos are lazy works where they don't care to put relevant and good dialogues along with cinematics. E.g. one might typically wonder what might have happened to all those powers that Kratos had by GOW3 ? He would have annihilated these gods if he was that version. And how thus powers or abilities other than innate abilities, work and gets lost from the bearer. These are covered in game dialogues. Even people who have played the game miss it.
God of War Ragnarok Time Stamps:
0:00 Nightmarish Flight
22:24 Unwanted Guests
40:07 Revelation
57:50 Trek Through Terrain
I recommend watching Gamer's Little Playground's GOWR video, as it has a LOT of needed context and character growth. Game Clips cuts about 60% to 70% (give or take) of it out. Context that links to the previous game
Not a good Cutscene video… as some of the good dialogue’s vital to story are skipped & not mentioned…..for you two reactors as well… suggest u to change ur video source
Yall need to watch a different play through they are cutting a lot of important stuff out and can yall watch the dlc of this game that just came out it perfectly ties up the events of this game please 🔥
Yes I been waiting on this one
Love these fractions! ❤
Really happy to see you guys start this game but if you're interested in maybe getting a better picture of the lore I recommend reacting to some great recap videos of the previous games that include information about other God of War games from other platforms that you didn't see.
This is very heavily cut version, you guys should change the video! A lot of important conversations happened that were cut!
Please change the video you're watching, there's so much stuff it got cut out that it's important for the story.
A lot of good dialogue is getting cut out the video, maybe you guys can find another video?
Yes they should before they go too far. They just proved they ignore comments 😂. People were spamming in the comments right from their reaction to god of war 1 cutscenes for them to watch chains of Olympus and ghost of spartas cutscenes because they’re referenced a lot in ragnarok and they still didn’t eventhough people were spamming it in 6 videos straight.
All caught up, except for watching this video at the moment.
so cool to see you guys pick up on things now after having seen the events of the original trilogy 😁
guys i think you are missing some parts of the story in this version of gameplay cutscenes
Thor's physique is based off powerlifters
Woww! Wherever you guys are getting these cuts scenes should change it like right now, because there's a lot you're missing. I mean alot 😮😮
You know, it’s not really a good thing to rely on cutscenes because there’s a lot of context In between these cutscenes because the story is in the gameplay again just so you know, it’s just not a good idea to solely rely on cutscenes had to say something to let you two know.

Havent finished the video yet, but in case you guys didnt know, Sofna is not the name of the wolf. The wolf is Fenrir
