    • @ElevatedLawnscapes
      @ElevatedLawnscapes  5 месяцев назад +2

      This is where I am keeping it for now to test the low mow capability. For the average homeowner I still think 2.75-3" is the sweet spot.

    • @TransitionZoneGuy7b
      @TransitionZoneGuy7b 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@ElevatedLawnscapes exactly. Right now my front is at 2.75 and my back is 2.5. The back has less sun and more moisture. I prefer the look of a lower cut. I also think a lower cut will help with minimizing fungal disease pressure.

    HThis is beautiful, but question, how are you able to keep your lines so straight ?? Are you just eyeballing it or is there a strat to it ?

    • @ElevatedLawnscapes
      @ElevatedLawnscapes  3 месяца назад +1

      There is some strategy to it. The easiest way is to start with your shortest pass first because it's easier to make a straight short pass than a long pass. Then follow that first pass across the lawn. The next thing is to lock in on a spot at the end of your pass and walk straight to it. Don't focus on the front of the mower focus further out where you are going. Final thing is take your time, dont drink and mow if you want them straight 😂. Those are my tips.

    • @ElevatedLawnscapes
      @ElevatedLawnscapes  5 месяцев назад

      Standard practice and home lawns yes...3". Im testing the low mow capability and performance of the newer cultivars of fescue seed that are stated to be able be mowed at 1". I do not recommend this for a typical home lawn situation.

    • @ElevatedLawnscapes
      @ElevatedLawnscapes  5 месяцев назад +1

      I have never cut only 4 times a month. I have always cut at least 8 times pep month (2x per week). That is my minimum even when my HOC was at 3". Depending on rain and my schedule, I typically cut 2-3x per week. Mowing is one of the most important factors no matter the HOC.

      Great work! Hoping that we keep getting this rain especially during the summer months. At this height you have to be watering daily during droughts and 90 degree temperatures. Please keep the updates coming throughout the summer with progress and water scheduling

    • @ElevatedLawnscapes
      @ElevatedLawnscapes  5 месяцев назад

      @@Braze-xxx I will not be watering daily. 3x per week at most, if it gets super dry, I will just water longer on those 3 days. The grass blades and the soil surface needs a period to dry out to reduce disease pressure.
