- Seeing how far I can push a level 5 component's attack skill, with surprisingly fun results.
Key gear pieces are easily target farmable near the start of Act 2.
Intro cam footage borrowed from Amanda McCants' channel - my video has monetization turned off voluntarily because while I think I'm funny using her as a game cam, I'll never try to make money off someone else's work.

Hello everyone, for those who don't know this: the helmet he was talking about is a 'Fleshwarped casque'. It gives 50% weapon damage to War Cry and it gives 6% OA and DA to Iskandra's Elemental Exchange. Because it gives weapon dmg, those flat dmg numbers will get added, not just the %dmg. Very nice MI, I use it on my 2h Scion Battlemage myself. I found one that says "off Kings", so it gives +5 to War Cry, noise!
You need to put [SPOILER] tags around that. I’ve just deleted my entire roster and uninstalled the game because of this 👊😜
Goddamn, I cracked a smile, my brain and my ears in just 5 seconds. Impactful content! 😂
I've got a 100 lvl Battlemage doing strictly physical / IT damage. Dual wielding Aetherscorched cleavers for 6 second duration Mirror of Erroctes (ME) doing +700% physical damage when ME is running, + base physical damage to Iskandra's Elemental Exchange. Also using Fleshwarped Casque for +100% physical and IT damage to Iskandra's. Combine that with War Cry and Break Morale, Maul, Ulzaad's Decree, and Fist of Vire devotions and this character crushes everything! Easy totem farming on Ultimate. Crushes Valdaraan too. Regarding merits, I generally like fast leveling a character in crucible until I get 42 tribute points for 10 devotion points, use a champion merit to unlock elite, get another 18 to 20 devotion points in veteran, then just play on elite. My favorite way to play. Then move to ultimate later. This works well on HC even.
Yeah, the physical Battlemage is very good - another example of how much variety there is in class/type choice and options. Thanks for the comment 👊🙂
How does your frost nova get such massive scree coverage? Is that just standard when upping the skill itself?
Yeah, same sort of thing with the other area skill I’m using - War Cry - raising above the soft cap increases the area effect. War Cry also works through walls 👊😜
Really liked the video, keep it going!
Cheers 👊🙂
I thought I’ll make a lightning wizard character so I went arcanist (the picture looks like a dude summoning lightning) but he doesn’t seem to have lightning skills 🥲
What’s a good lightning class combo?
I see Shaman has some 2-handed stuff, wind devils and an ultimate toggle. Are there any other professions that are big on lightning?
Shaman has some big lightning skills. Inquisitor has some lightning stuff. Arcanist is great for buffing any elemental damage type (fire, cold, lightning). Demolitionist has some lightning ability, the toggle skill Flame Touched buffs lightning damage even if it doesn’t sound like it would. That’s all before you get into damage conversion with specific gear items.
This looks fun. The "Component for main damage" challenge lol
I reckon the poison one would be fun too.
@@Arcadelife1 I've done a chain lightning build a while back. It's pretty fun
Components for damage is viable until level 72. That's how long I used ice spike on my spellbreaker before I found the aetherstorm set and switched to aether lightning.
… and at 75 there are a few components with nice upgraded attack skills. Here’s this same Battlemage at 90 - ruclips.net/video/F87m5uW53sQ/видео.html
@@Arcadelife1 Oh yeah I used chain lightning on that character as well. It was my first 100.
Every video i see, or most, characters use this rushlike run-to-enemy ability but i have no idea what it is, where it comes from or how to get it.
For sure not an arcanist or soldier ability.
What is it?
Glyphs (augments) on medals - introduced with Forgotten Gods expansion. The FG factions all sell level 1 glyphs at Friendly rep, and there are damage-specific glyphs that drop as random blueprints from level 50. All of these add a granted movement skill that’s nothing to do with your class or devotions.
Edit - to be honest, what you’re seeing here in this video is the Soldier skill Blitz. See 2:13
Wait, are there mods at play here? How are certain pieces of text getting coloured like that?
“Rainbow item filter” - it’s just a text file, but very useful as a quality of life improvement. Find out all about it here ruclips.net/video/Lq6sLDytFvE/видео.html
Nice video! I may try this if this work higher leves too.
There’s a higher level version of the fireblast component skill, and with main-hand damage included in the skill it should constantly scale, although it will get to a point where a mastery skill would probably outperform it. I’ll post some updates to show what I’m doing with it…
That intro 😆
My favourite part 👊😜
pew pew alright
