I was working on a mod for Squad and adding vehicle interiors was my main field of work.
I am really happy to see BI making interiors and I hope we will soon finally have a full 100% immersion experience for APCs and Tanks and it will become a gaming industry standard.
For people not related to the military, being able to be inside a fully modeled tank and press all the buttons would be absolutely mind blowing. Me personally - when I studied one of the vehicles and found out about every button and what its used for, I realized that there are hundreds of different gameplay mechanics that could be implemented to make the game more fun.

I hope we'll get modern 4th generation warfare reflecting the world today instead for ArmA 4.
I've seen enough ERDL camo, M16's and plain AK-74's, I wanna see guerrillas wearing multicam using a crazy variety of weaponry from their arms suppliers fighting an equally varied state. Syrian Arab Army with support from the Ruskies and loyalists fighting Daesh and other militia. Ukrainian pro-Russian militia, the Russian army, wagner PMC, chechens fighting the extremely varied Ukrainian military and their foreign mercenaries.
ArmA 3 kinda tried this with the east wind campaign but the factions were boring as were their equipment and the missions were extremely linear. I feel no other game has even attempted to reflect the current state of warfare properly.

For a sorta "spinoff" half-game, I think that what this game delivers is about what I would expect. If this was marketed as the next big ArmA I would be a bit hestitant, but for what it's trying to accomplish it seems like a solid package and I can't wait to get lost in it over the next while.

Learn from the experience with game Squad and others as such. Players are just NOT getting what they pay for, and should not be happy with what they are getting. Players are getting unfinished games that on Day 1 already feel 4-6 years old (outdated), with ever present promises of (slow and little) improvements over the coming years. Which will still make the game feel and look obsolete. You are being thought to be satisfied with partial games. 5 edits of the same vehicle with minor changes and you are supposed to say "Wow"? Precisely the same scenario as with the game Squad.

@@Unknown_Genius The millions of views and thousands of positive comments on videos showing off Arma 3 for the first time beg to differ. People were very excited for the game and very impressed with the graphics. You can go look for yourself at the comments and replies on those videos and various articles from 9 years ago when Arma 3 came out.
In fact you are kind of proving my point in a way, you are kind of looking at it from today's standards, not comparing to 9 years ago standards.

@@Unknown_Genius You seem to be arguing against a point I didn't bring up. I was also there when Arma 3 launched. And I was there when Arma 2 launched. And I was there when Operation Flashpoint launched. Every Arma game is well known to be bare bones at release and later on becomes more full of content when mods arrive (I suppose Operation Flashpoint was the exception, since it wasn't a game made for mods). I never said otherwise, but this seems to be the point you are arguing for some reason.
Basically, people didn't switch back to Arma 2 because of graphics, they switched because of content/mods. And when the mods on Arma 3 started appearing more and more people stuck with Arma 3. But that wasn't the only reason, the game industry was also still revealing on the DayZ mod (which was a massive hit) which came out about a year before Arma 3 launched (and spawned tons of other amazing mods on Arma 2 right before Arma 3 launched), further keeping people on Arma 2 instead of Arma 3.
But the graphics were not the reason people switched back to Arma 2. The graphics in Arma 3 were far superior to Arma 2 and again, if you look at the thousands of comments, reviews, replies, etc on videos, articles, steam, for when Arma 3 launched you can clearly see that sentiment repeated there. Steam itself is showing "overwhelming positive" review score on Arma 3 in the months following it's launch. Look at the reviews themselves and they praise tons of features/graphics/physics improvement with Arma 3 vs Arma 2.

Shame on you Bohemia! Shame on you people that support and even promote paid beta tests while small studios sell their complete games twice cheaper and get insanely reach. Like seriously. Stop being surprised by proper lighting in games in 2022. Stop being excited with the realistic looking map that can be done in Unreal for free with free photogrammetry assets in few days. Just stop it! Stop consuming cheap(well, not so) sh!t. The studio that has it all, experience, tons of code to build every game you can imagine is trying to sell you raw and bugy bunch of assets brought together in like few months and you are like OMG. If they can sell you this for 30bucks, I'm already imaging what ARMA4 price will be. Even BF and Call Of Duty players got some brains to realize that companies are BSing them. Stop supporting this! Please! They never made ARMA 3 work properly but now they are trying to sell you beta instead of giving it away for free and have a positive promotion campaign to get more people on board.

As i thought, the vanilla gameplay is straight up dayz masked in arma… terrible movement, terrible animations (both are too arcadey) performance is still lacking, inventory hud looks bad: dayzs inventory doesnt fit arma a single bit. Everything else looks good, vehicles, guns (even tho the sound is lacking) graphics, builtin radio, modtools, zeus etc… gotta wait for modders to fix those things listed above before i buy it

Dayz stand-alone was used to build the enfusion engine used in Reforger. Arma 4 will use improvements to engine from reforger

Sadly modding Reforger isn't as simple and fast as what modding A3 was. This time we're not going to see the same scripting & mission making scene we're used to see. :/

@@spunFIN it took a lot of time for Arma 3 to become a great game, i dont really mind waiting for A4 to come out, and as Reforger is just a way for modders to get their hands on the engine, i dont see a reason for me to buy it, unless as i said, they fix those things i dont like
