Can Motorica manage more than one character and keep them from colliding or cause them to react if the do? I remember years ago when animators derided motion capture as 'Satan's rotoscope', probably fearful that it might cost them jobs the way photography did portrait artists. Yet they're still with us. There are so many variations of a walk cycle with controls. Could one somehow digitize the walk cycle of a known character? Could I somehow manage to create and dial in a cycle based on 'John Wayne' or 'Betty Boop'? Would I have to get Motorica to do add that to their library? I wonder if this thing could be adapted to martial arts or dancing? Could I fake a Fred Astaire performance? Thanks for stepping us through this tool.
The project files are in the description! But the rig stash pose just sets the rest transform attribute and the clip info just sets the frame range, nothing too special there. I found it may be important that you don’t move the animation too fast, as well as it possibly helping to offset the animation back to the start position of the rest skeleton to start, check out the 2nd part of the video where I go through the custom drawn path I do a few things there to make sure it stays clean!
sliders doesn`t realy seem like acrual ai. If it doesn`t do transitiots i dont realy beleave its meaniggful ai and not just adjusting sliders on a houdni HDA.
It is definitely a neural network trained on motion, just because it isn’t generative AI does not make it any less powerful, in fact the generative prompt to AI that I’m sure your thinking of is still extremely rough and an AI like this that allows for 100s of style transfers and accurate stepping motion from something as simple as an animated root is extremely powerful

this is so crazy! I got malformed input trying to upload, what are you settings on the concfigureclipinfo and rigstashpose before export?
