I was just waiting for it to end when I did it. There were some rather frightening moments on that thing. Then I walked back up and did it again. I was captivated by the fact I didn’t die on the way down!
I did this in 2022 water was pretty cold but if I could I’d do it again

Because you are going through the forest( part of nature) and the slide is made of mud and not plastic.

Additionally the water being fed into the slide comes directly from a river hence the unusual lever mechanism

With all respect for my comment,, how can this be a natural water slide?,,,clearly is man made,,,well done i should say,,for tourists and residenrs to enjoy on a hot day in Costa Rica.

It's because the slide is made from a flowing natural body of water to power it. Rather then a man made pump forcing the water down the slide. If you notice at the beginning he is damming the water up instead of cutting off a pump of some sort
