One thing you missed is that there are settings for the passenger display in the PCM. You can choose to have it display media information (current track playing) instead of just displaying “Taycan” while in standby mode.

great Job Paul, excellent, not comparable with German service videos . Porsche should hire your services for user manual videos.

I don’t understand why anyone would NEED this. Just reach over 20cm and everything’s there

Because its safer to have a passenger do distracting things like search destination or scroll through music while driving.

Will it display Apple Car Play? In addition, there seems to be conflicting information around regarding what it will or will not do when there is no passenger in the seat.
Some say it is a blank, others say your can have a setting where it will display some/limited information. My hope is that it is a functional display even if the buttons to change it are deactivated when there is only a driver and no passenger - is that possible?

Do I understand correctly that if the passenger sets up a new location, then backs out of nav it will send that new location to the driver display?

Worst UI performance I‘ve seen in years. So slow you can literally see it drawing element by element. Matches the drivechain technology that needs a two speed gearbox in order to reach acceptable performance.
