Megumi Fushiguro (伏ふし黒ぐろ恵めぐみ Fushiguro Megumi?) is the deuteragonist of the Jujutsu Kaisen series. He is a grade 2 jujutsu sorcerer and first-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki. Megumi is the step-brother of Tsumiki Fushiguro and as the son of Toji Fushiguro, Megumi is also a descendant of the Zenin Family. Megumi was born outside the clan as Toji's trump card and was eventually found by Satoru Gojo, who mentored him and enrolled him at Jujutsu High as his student.
Megumi is a relatively tall, slim young man with fair skin and green eyes (dark blue in the anime adaptation). He has uniquely styled black hair with long spikes that jut out in every direction around his head, resembling a sea-urchin (according to Hakari).
Megumi hated bad people with unearned pride just as much as he did good people who were too merciful to the former. Tsumiki is a perfect example of a good person to Megumi, but he was annoyed with her hypocrisy whenever she would get upset at him for hurting bad people. Megumi eventually realized that he immature and was wrong to think that way. He surmised that Tsumiki was simply choosing to protect him in the same way he was choosing who to help. Tsumiki believed that Megumi's lack of forgiveness was his way of showing kindness. After Tsumiki was cursed, Megumi was filled with regret and found the drive to become a sorcerer so he could save her.
As a jujutsu sorcerer, Megumi developed his own sense of justice and is steadfast in his personal interpretation of right and wrong. Like his mentor, Megumi refuses to be influenced by traditions within the jujutsu world. Yuji should've been executed when it was discovered he was able to incarnate Sukuna, but Megumi ignored the rules and made a personal request to Satoru to protect Yuji. However, Megumi was unsure for a while if he made the correct decision. During the mission to the juvenile detention center, Yuji mentioned how reliable Megumi was for saving people but Megumi appeared uncomfortable with that statement. Yuji wanted to return Tadashi Okazaki's corpse to his mother but Megumi disagreed and said to leave him behind. Tadashi's criminal record made Megumi believe he wasn't even worth saving when he was alive. While arguing with Yuji over the circumstances, Megumi pointed out that saving as many people as possible runs the risk of them hurting others in the future. This directly contrasts with Megumi saving Yuji despite knowing the danger Sukuna poses. When Yuji asked why Megumi saved him if that was the case, Megumi was unable to give an immediate answer.
While fighting against Sukuna, Megumi pondered the aforementioned question of why he rescued Yuji. Megumi believes that the only thing that's fair about life is how it's unfair to everyone and that jujutsu sorcerers are a just cog in karmic retribution. He wants more good people like Tsumiki to receive fairness and that's why he decides to save people unfairly. This helped him realize that he didn't save Yuji because it was logical, he did it because he didn't want to see a good person die. He knows it was a selfish and emotional decision but Megumi is okay with that because he's not a hero, he's a jujutsu sorcerer. This is why he's never regretted saving Yuji, not even for a second.

@@sgsjosh2000 Chimera Shadow Garden allows Megumi to create clones of himself and his shikigami, so it stands to reason he should be able to do so to Mahoraga.

Here’s my theory the will be a time skip in jjk after kenjaku wins. Megumi and Yuji will reach special grade level but I don’t see them reaching or surpassing gojo. I feel sukuna needs megumi to play a part in he’s awakening and that’s why he’s interested in him and specifically said “the is something I want to see” when referring to megumi.

Mahoraga is so underated. Sukuna was able to use a technique, after a DE and used a stronger fire arrow than he used against Jogo, to kill mahoraga. Even if Mahoraga beat Sukuna, the feats Sukuna pulled of, are beyond anything the other characters have shown

Because domain expansion nullifies an opponent's CT(exceptions seen in barrierless domains because yuki was trying to use bom ba ye in kenjaku, so most likely its the barrier that stops CT)

You're the first RUclipsr I've seen that actually got it right. A lot of people seem to think that Megumi needs a barrier to use his domain in open space, but he's clearly capable of using it anywhere and is only worried about people escaping it.
I loved this breakdown, it got everything right, you acknowledged his strength, durability, weaknesses and misconceptions perfectly. A 10 out of 10 if you ask me.

None of you even touch on how the main strength of the technique is the shikigami inherit the power of their fallen friends. They can also be trained.
I don't think toji attacked megumi cause he was healthy or had the most stamina or whatever. He attacked who he perceived to have the most potential/could be the biggest threat long term. That and it was his own. At least that's what I think
I think Megumi will eventually tame Mahoraga by destroying and merging all the other 8 Shikigami into a single Shikigami, into maybe the wolf or the 8th one before Mahoraga that we don’t know about yet, and with that he’d have just enough power to beat Mahoraga and tame it

True. My theory is that he will get RCT and will reverse his technique like Gojo did to form red. For Megumi, the reverse of his technique would be to control light in some manner potentially allowing him to get 10 more shikigamis formed through light as a medium.

Might as well try it out I'm dying anyways" leading to the creation of a domain that impresses even Gojo. The series second and probably final borderless domain.

Bruh after watching Hakari, Maki, Yuta and Yuki fight, I starting to doubt Megumi potential lol. Back then I see Megumi is really full potential. Now I think the main cast is severely outclassed by the special grades.

I have a theory about the end game. Gojo won't be able to defeat sukuna at his 20 finger state. And at the end, sukuna will face megumi's peak state. Yuji(Sukuna) will face the guy who introduced him to curses at episode 1, the same guy he'll fight at the last episode. Megumi fushiguro. They have naruto vs sasuke vibes

I think megumis domain is by far the most interesting in the series, because it works differently to everyone in the series so far. Megumi doesn't manifest a new area into reality, like everyone else including sukuna does, instead he takes something already in the physical world, his shadow, and just stretches it while also removing limiters on his technique and raising his stats. The closest i can think of is gojos, but his isn't about manifesting infinity like his normal technique is per se
Sukuna's is the same. It was explained in the manga that his shrine manifests in the area. Gojo, Jugo, Mahito and others need a barrier for theirs.

RCT reversed the affect, not the medium. For example Gojo's Blue manipulates space and his Red does the same thing, just in reverse.
Megumi's RCT would most likely just disintegrate his own Shikigami imo.

1 - You are comparing a Yuji who couldnt even manipulate cursed energy to a Megumi who just unlocked his domain expansion. How is that fair? Yuji, in the same arc, defeated the blood brothers who were individualy stronger than the finger bearer that Megumi defeated.
2 - You said that Megumi grew stronger faster than Yuji but... Yuji reached the level of a grade 1 sorcerer in 2-3 months. Megumi has been a sorcerer since the age of 6 and until a few months ago he was still a grade 3.
he started jujutsu high atmost a month or 2 before yuji
but yes their growth rate is almost equal

Hmm...I wonder if the key to taming Mahoraga lies in Megumi's domain. If he can summon an untamed shikigami in the domain, he might be able to overwhelm Mahoraga with unlimited enemies including Megumi's own clones. Like...it might be the case that a domain is literally the only way to do it if you're not already in the top tier of the verse with Gojo/Sukuna/Kenjaku/Yuta.
I think it lies in the shadows rather than the shikigami. Megumi can use so many tricks by literally manipulating shadows, and since Mahoraga seems to have only nine points on its wheel or dharma, using the nine shikigami and then using tricks with the shadows to finish it off is the true way to tame Mahoraga. The strength of the Ten shadows isnt the shikigami but the ability of shadows itself
Well, technically speaking a domain will nulify the cursed technique of a trapped opponent if they dont have a domain active or countermeasures

Im surprised gojo didn’t decide to become a mediator because multiple people can technically help in the subjugation of mahoraga, yeah the mediator is mostly support and “flee” emergency but i feel like that wouldve been a cheap way to pull it off.

There are so many awesome characters in JJK but I feel like most creators just want to focus on Gojo, Toji, Sukuna, Yuta, and Megumi. I feel like I'm having Deja Vu man, just the same characters and the same talking points. I really wish there were more videos about all the other amazing characters and their potential.

Let me elaborate because I know how cruel and heartless that sounds. We know that Megumi's Ten Shadows Technique (TST) allows him to tame Cursed Spirits and turn them into Shinigami or something to that effect but what I want to focus on here, is that he said that the Cursed Techniques (CT) of the deceased or destroyed Shinigami is passed down to his existing Shinigamis. So if you think about it... If he kills the bird, transfer that bird's CT onto the Dog, he'll have a loyal dog, with Totality, with insane speed, might even have wings, with the Electric Cursed Energy (CE) or Electric CT. Why isn't he doing it?
If I understand this carefully, there might be limits but if he can pass down CTs to his Shinigami, he can make the dog, the most loyal one probably, with insane capabilities. Why isn't he doing it, is my question...

And why is the condition is the same? Like I said, we weren't exactly told to us the limitations. I believe there is a limit to the summon, due to how much CE you need, in order to summon. However, if you're just summoning the dog, that shouldn't be as draining as you normally do, isn't it?

I disagree that he will be stronger than Gojo. Thing is 10 shadows is not new technique it is in world of JJK for long.
And still Limitless+Six Eyes is considered STRONGEST CT in history of Jujutsu. Not 10 shadows. Just because Sukuna is hard for 10 shadows doesn't make 10 shadows stronger - how so ? Because Sukuna knows he won't take over Gojo body so 10 shadows is best he can get (btw its very good but not as good as Gojo CT - author himself states).
And even if one would argue that Megumi is just gifted , who is gonna tell me Gojo isn't lol. TLDR it will be massive asspull if Megumi takes down Gojo on his own (without Sukuna).
Maharaga got defeated by Sukuna not totally super easy, but it wasn't close. And it was 15 fingers Sukuna where Gojo thinks (well so its only his oppinion) that he is stronger than full power 20 fingers Sukuna.
Also its beyond obvious Megumi domain would get overwritten by Gojo's.
TLDR Megumi got nothing on Gojo.
Mahoraga is also gatekeeper - it is super strong, but once you pass him - you pass him as Sukuna proved. I think strong special grade sorcerers can and will take it down.
Previous 10 fingers user killed (and also got killed in process) Limitless user - but users were probably equal to each other in skill. Megumi is not where Gojo is and Gojo is still progressing (as shown vs Toji) so there is no way he can just suddenly be as profecient with cursed energy as Gojo.
We have seen that someone like sukuna with more cursed energy heavily Amos up the power of the shiligami, meaning makaraga may be way stronger now. If megumi gets released from sukunas body, he may inherit sukunas cursed technique meaning megumi may be able to create a bundles chimera shadow garden that has a 200etet radius where he can summon multiple clones of a tamed mahoraga on top of amped up shikigami. That would definitely be on Par with gojo.

I agree with Sukuna toying with Mahoraga. Sukuna has far better knowledge than most Sorcerer we have ever seen. He definitely has knowledge about Maximum Techniques as well. He's not revealing his cards at all. He might also have knowledge about his Cursed Energy Attribute but isn't using it. There's more and more layers we're discovering and if Sukuna lived a long time to not even be surprised about these discoveries, he definitely knows them.
