Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that he just came into Harry's and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS, and a Motec system exhaust
It's torque steer, bad torque steer at that. Reinforcement, better toe angle and some steering geometry adjustment would help quite a bit but best way to nearly eliminate it is get wider rims, sticky tires, and swap to a CRV AWD setup
My experience has told me that LS, Frankenstein and other B series motors love to swim in the 200 to 300 range and it’s plenty of power to have fun and still be able to put some gaps on people reliably but very commendable to reach 500. Sounds like the next step is getting the handling and suspension under control.
What setup and mods you running on ehat engine? And whats it putting out? Good job on the control, tuned down to 340 from 415 to save breaking parts i still made the mistake of taking on a GTI in FL rain on a highway from green. Far left went to far right, turn lane, far left, turn lane again, then middle before i got it under control in 2nd gear. And ive got an extra 2k pounds but boost onset for 1st and 2nd is still 19 and 24Lbs respectively. New bars, dog bone mount, lessen camber in the rear, dropped ½in, and better tires and rear wing helped massively. Still spins but manageable now
It’s why anyone that has a car that goes straight hates racing a fwd car they are all over the place and it tends to effect other drivers cause they see it everywhere bobbing around
A bigger wheel might help get more leverage but it won't really help the torque steer. Need an lsd, proper suspension adjustment, and some wider/ more grippy tires to minimize wheel spin. But then where's the fun in a fwd car without a bit of torque steer
everybody still thinking VTek matters once you start do forced induction systems.... If you do your turbo right you switch it out with camshafts that give you a fuller profile at all times or whatever profile you choose. Am I missing something?
Too broad of a question to provide a simple answer. Depends on the: tune, engine, internals, driving habits, fluids, miles traveled. I’ll say this, tho: don’t expect extreme longevity with any built engine like the one in the video. Oem specd cars have tens of millions of dollars dedicated to r&d along with a team of elite engineers to design even a normal car. Those have a somewhat predictable lifespan. However, all of the aforementioned factors come into play with normal cars, obviously, too.
Ive been in 500hp civics. This seems pretty far from it. Maybe its the video and such but it seems way closer to 300- maybe 350hp. Hes also over driving it on purpose for the video because he didn't need to steer it hard at all lol i like fast honders but this ine seems exaggerated as hell.

The phenomenon is known as torque steer. It’s basically inevitable if you have a high hp, fwd car.
Why does it always seems to lose traction
