You are reading this comment, your parents will die in 5 years. To undo this curse you need to copy paste this on 5 different mangas I just reposted this coz I read it, I make this null for whoever read this from my copy paste.
It would be great if you made a tier list with more than 10 manga, I'm not saying a top 50 or something like that because it can be really difficult to rank them, but a tier list would be really cool.
Reading Berserk and I just finished the Eclipse and Jesus Christ Edit: I’m at the point in the conviction arc where Guts saves Casca and again Jesus Christ (in a good way this time)
As a JoJo fan, keeping up with part 8 (since about, chapter 60 something), it's by far the most confusing and mysterious JoJo part. Every time a new chapter comes out, I at least have to read the chapter before again, if not, a lot more. It is really enjoyable though. The alternative universe is fun fan service imo.
Its part of the mystery genre so we cant really fault it for that to much. Tho alot of confusion might come from the fact that we follow it monthly, many might forget alot of the past events and in turn become confused. I plan to re-read it again after it ends, I think thats gonna make me appreciate it alot more.
I think jojolion is more confusing in the first 60 chapters because things didnt got resolved and then later they did and have one mission. To defeat main villain.

Rodrigo Campoy it is great and really worth it it has medieval setting great protagonist and magnificent monsters designs on the same tier of berserk, by the way all the characters are girls that includes the protagonist so if you like stories about strong women you will enjoy it 👌
Elite Manga I recommend: Eden: It's an endless world, Holyland, Yona of the Dawn, Nausicaa of the Wind, Immortal Swordsman, Koe No Kotachi, Liar Game, Ikigami
Kingdom and one piece will get a huge leap in quality after a few years. Foreshadowing in one piece have garunteed an epic finally and kingdom's author said that he want to capture both shin's uprising and downfall which immediately broke the hype bottom for me.
I'M NOT PISSED OFF! I came to this video to see if One Piece was _at least_ still in your top 10, especially with all the great stuff you've been reading lately. The fact it's still there warms my heart. I'm glad you think it's one of the shonen that deserves the title of "greatest of all time."
Yeah for me it’s my number one, It basically got me in to anime and manga. I have read and watched so much since but nothing gets me hype like one piece. Only one thing has hit me in the feels like it, stuff like Clannad and Clannad after story. I was just hoping it would still be in his top ten even if it wouldn’t effect how much I love the story, it’s weird lol.
Mine would be something like this: 10. Bites the Dust arc from Diamond is Unbreakable. 9. Prologue from Vinland Saga. 8. Return to Shiganshina arc from Attack on Titan. 7. Farm arc from Vagabond. 6. Chimera Ant arc from Hunter X Hunter. 5. Sugar Mountain arc from Steel Ball Run. 4. Conviction arc from Berserk. 3. Golden Age arc from Berserk. 2. Marley arc from Attack on Titan. 1. Farm arc from Vinland Saga.
My top 5 (no order): Sun Ken Rock (Ken's development is great, the drawing is beatiful, the depiction of Korea feels like a documentary and this manga showed me the importance of developing your mind as well as your body). Kengan Ashura (I love MMA, the story behind the fights and how they manage the concept of mandingos). Jojo's part 5 (it may not be better than part 7 or 6, but the fact that it distracted me from literal hunger makes it have a special place in my heart). Berserk (Guts is my favorite protagonist, his struggle and the way he just moves on is beautiful, in a way he is very relatable, the world that sorrounds him feels huge and the rest of the characters are very well developed and even feel as human as guts...). Vagabond (The personal growth you get from reading Vagabond is as like you grow with Musashi. Even though Inoue moved on and will never finish it, we still have the 5 rings).
What Wano does is infinitely expand the thematic breadth of One Piece, plus it provides the biggest instance of expansion to its world with chapters 956, 957, 966, and 967. It certainly is a game changer
@@CurrentSoulKing yeah it's where you finally feel like, "Oh, we are actually really close to finding One Piece and learning all the lore about the world like whose pulling the strings and the century void and filling in the blanks and holes of the story"
99range92def you should definitely read one piece and yu yu hakusho both are amazing series but if one piece is too long for you... Read it anyways it’s worth it trust me
I totally agree on punpun. It feels so weird. Everytime when you think "Maybe it can get better know" you get a total knockout hit to the guts. And the worst thing is that it feels so real despite being about a cartoon bird in the real world (yes, I know that the manga itself explains that it is basically a replacement to an anon character so it feels like a real story). I like the fact that, like Junji Ito, Inio Asano uses the medium of Manga/printed comic to play with the readers emotions. Pun-puns dialogues are black panels with text written over it and most of it is thought. The Artist tells us that the manga ISN´t told from Punpuns perspective but that of a non-omniscent storyteller that from time to time uses pieces he git from the characters he talked with. Also it have the Page-turns, but unlike Ito, they are not for Scares but to show you the characters next action when it´s not predictable what he is about to do. Really loved that manga and is one of the few i have as a whole collection.
Sort of taking a shot in the dark here because new to the channel and have no idea if you like sport mangas but if you haven't read Eyeshield 21 you should, it's top 3
My list, in no particular order would be: - Goodnight Punpun - Solanin - One Piece - Berserk - I am a Hero - Jojos - Gantz - Monster - Kaitai Zanuff - Deadman Wonderland
Dunno bout top ten, I feel lazy to sit down and think about it. Though, based on what I've read thus far, my top 5 for sure is: 1. Berserk 2. Vagabond 3. Attack On Titan 4. JBA - SBR 5. One Piece After AOT's back to back consistently well chapters, I could see it passing Vagabond on my list (specifically cause I'm just a bit picky about certain things that happened late Vagabond). As for SBR, definitively the best Jojo part, with (to me) the best protagonist and jobro, and overall a well versed cast. Interactions are something Araki does well and part 7 really is great with it. The only reason AOT is above it is because of the twists it had taken recently, and that it's more story driven than taking the detours for battles (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I really do think part 8 does battles better as they seem as more necessary fits to the story). One Piece in recent chapters have been disappointing me, but I have a lot of faith in Oda and the series (maybe that's why I am disappointed by it), so that's why it would really stand well with 4 come up.
@@ultratronger This was when the crew now reached Oniigashima, and Zoro just kinda cut up the buildings and shit, there's more but off of memory that's one I remember most. It kinda ruined his moment in Punk Hazard, and around that time the Yamato introduction wasn't all that strong. But yeah, in typical Oda fashion I've changed my mind and yet again praise Goda.
Bro after Pun Pun, i felt weird af. It makes you experience emotions you can't fully pin point, but you still yearn to experience them again. I read it with chillstep, and now I can never listen to chillstep again. Give it a try, and stick with it until you finish. I took some breaks from it, but i am very happy that i finished it.
The list is definitely going to change in another 6 months or so. The more variety of stuff you read, the more it changes. It's honestly a wild experience. My top 10 has changed so much over the past few years as I get older, read more stuff, etc. Some things that are on the lower end of top 10 wind up being top 5, some things don't even make top 10 anymore, manga you used to think were kinda weak wind up being super good, etc.
Badalight there’s no way to gauge personal taste. He might really something that you and I would consider outside of our top 30 or gate something people consider a top 5.
Not sure what you've heard of Wano but I wouldn't put too much stock into it. A lot of the negative reaction it gets is overblown imo. Plus, generally One Piece arcs are much better when reading it all the way through rather than reading weekly. It's not the best arc yet but I do think it has the potential to be. As for the rest of the list, it's really interesting. I hadn't heard pun pun and 20th century boys so I will check them out.
Vinland saga and Hunter X Hunter are 2 of my favorite mangas ever, but i have to say it really hurts that they have such slow periods. HXH is published whenever the author wants, which is rarely, and Vinland saga is published monthly but it's in kind of a void right now. There's not much going on, and I felt nothing reading the last chapters. Hopefully it comes back strong rapidly.
@@illusionofartYT gons plot armour is tooooo thick to be ignored , first of all i dont hate hxh , i hate the olfs ( over loyal fans) who think hxh is a phenomenal and exceptional shonen and they even go to a extent saying hxh is a deconstruction of shonen let me point out some basic flaws when it comes to plotarmour and character death 1. gons plotarmour against genthru is the sole purpose he won the fight and in thr fight he lost his hands just to be healed ( dbz vibes ) 2. nen exchange asspull, kurapika had to train a lot and it is not shown how much he trained to do the nen exchange but all gon knew about it is that you have to exchange something for something else which even pitou knew about yet she didnt do that so called nen exchange, the fact that gon did it in one second without any training or anything is pathetic plotarmour and the concept of nen exchange itself is patheic because kurapikas life is not equal worth of killing all of the pt members . 3. alukka zoldyck asspull, accept it or not , it doesnt matter how much togashi connected the next chapters with alukka she is just a pathetic excuse to save gons ass, gons plotarmour is really pathetic at this point . he didnt even lose his nen as stated by ging , alukka opens a way to many plotholes such as " why couldnt killua kill mereum, bring back kite , why couldnt he teleport to the hospital " 5. killua and alukka share a bond so that there is no consequences for her to heal gon.......thats another horseshit reason to save gon 6. kites reincarnation is totally pointless 7. if u think about it dbz and hxh are the same , in both series even if u die you will come back ( meruem , kite , gon , hisoka) atleast dbz had dragon ball in ita name itself. there are ton of problems in the foundation of the series itself, even the name hxh is a shitty name to this series which i dont want to get into because we are just taking about the plotarmour here . would like to see how u respond since you think hxh has no plotarmour. even in the foundation gon and killua are 1 in a million.
If nothing else, I respect your list. I dont agree with it, but I REALLY respect it. I'd give my list but nobody cares about someone else's list lmao. Ah fuck it here goes nothing. Reminder that these are favs not anything objective. Some of these I think are better than the ones above them, but I just don't like em as much. 10. Chainsaw Man 9. Slam Dunk 8. Steel Ball Run (if we include the rest of JoJo it would be outside of my top 30 tbh) 7. Monster 6. Berserk 5. Vinland Saga 4. 2Oth Century Boys 3. March Comes in Like a Lion 2. One Piece 1. Oyasumi Punpun
@@pachik0 I usually don't put such a premature series in my top 10 but Chainsaw Man has been CONSISTENTLY blowing my damn mind, with its plot twists, its balls to the wall action, its impeccable character writing, and its mysteries. It seriously is a masterpiece in progress. Once the series concludes it genuinely might be a top 5 contender.
@@ItsVyy Yeah, I adore how optimistic Sangatsu is, but it's realistically optimistic. It really feels powerful when Rei finds his new family and finally finds proper happiness. It made me feel good in a way no other manga has
@XLuthfi No If you enjoyed it, then yes it can be in someone's favorites. It's #2 in my favourite series, but I can see why people wouldn't have it in their favourites.
Pluto, Slam Dunk, Kaiji, REAL (everything you said about Vagabond's effect on you applies to this series but even more so), Eden: It's an Endless World, Summit of the Gods, Master Keaton, Sanctuary (by Ikegami and Fumimura)... yes, plenty of things that may still shake up your top 10 if you keep reading. Downfall is made by the same author as Punpun, you gotta check out that too. Osamu Tezuka's Phoenix, or Buddha... the masterpieces just keep on coming once you start looking for them.
It hurts, it definitely hurts to see my favorite series at #9 but hey it is what is man, I guess that just goes to show how different people’s tastes can be I’m 18 as well and I’ve read a lot of these series you have and I just have a different attachment to series like one piece and hunter x hunter then series like Vagabond and Vinland saga even though I still love those series I just enjoy the shounen more I don’t know what it is man
OP, is my favorite too, but I am not that big a manga/anime fan, so if i read as much stuff as Masked Man, I'd still probably enjoy One Piece the most, but I'd put other stuff above it in terms of quality.
One piece isn’t the best written compared to berserk, but I enjoyed reading OP a lot better. Also it’s length gives so much more hype than any other series, especially when Oda says that wano act 3 will be better than marineford. In wano (spoilers please don’t read this if you haven’t caught up), you got big mom and the kaido pirates vs Marco, law, kid, the straw hats, the Oden gang, Yamato, the 5,000 samurai, the zoans (who I bet will come to get revenge on Jack), and possibly the new white beard pirates since Marco’s there. One last thing, I think that oda will use wano to shift black beard into the main antagonist since luffy’s presumably gonna beat kaido, because black beard is in my opinion, the strongest pirate in one piece and has only gotten stronger since marineford. What one piece does the best is that it provides so much speculation and anticipation for overlapping plot lines and I think the plot progression will go so much faster since luffy’s one of the top 10 strongest pirates
One Piece is very entertaining to read/watch the worldbuilding is incredible and i have mad respect for oda for being consistent with his work.but i personally wouldnt even put it in my top 10 list i dont see the writing to be THAT good to be put side by side with HxH,it has alot of problems but still if you just turn your brain off and just read it for the fun and adventure then its really good and i can understand why fans love it and are attached to it.
My top 10 that no one asked for.......no ongoing series. I don't think its fair. One Piece and Kingdom would be top 10. #1 is a tie between BECK and Punpun. I can't pick between the two. BECK has the nostalgia and Punpun has the emotional impact. #2. Initial D #3. 20th Century Boys #4. Welcome to the NHK #5. Eyeshield 21 #6. Worst/Crows #7. Tokyo Ghoul/re #8. Dorohedoro #9. Trace #10. Wandering Son Manga is the best.
No one will read this but here is my top 10 right now: 1.- Vagabond or Punpun T-T 2.- Real 3.- Punpun or Vagabond T-T 4.- The Climber 5.- Slam Dunk 6.- Berserk 7.- Samurai Champloo ( anime) 8.- one Piece 9.-20th Century boys 10.- HxH
Badalight K2 summit arc has the most interesting character development I’ve seen , not because it is the peak of character development, but for the internal fight that Mori has
Attack on titan ahead of one piece and hunter x hunter? Damn finally attack on titan getting the recognition it deserves. No disrespect to op and hxh they are great but I always thought aot was up there with them and my opinion slightly better. I thought I was the only mad lad!
My personal top 10: 1. Vagabond 2. Attack on Titan 3. Akira 4. Fullmetal Alchemist 5. Kaguga-sama: Love is War 6. Berserk 7. Slam Dunk 8. Dragon Ball 9. Vinland Saga 10. Death Note

Something that I always find amazing is that Miura draws first and *THEN* writes the story. That's nuts, im baffled that there aren't a lot of plotholes from that alone. Also question, have you ever read or watched Parasyte: The Maximum? One of my personal favorites, for a few key factors that touched me and my situation when I first watched it. But I make an effort to watch the whole series once a year. The fact that it explores depression so deeply with its protagonist is something I will take with me.
Highly agree with your top 5. Here are some recommendations you won't regret. Recommendation(manga): 1. Chainsawman 2. Jujutsu Kaisen 3. Tokyo Ghoul 4. Uzumaki and the manga of all the anime stated below. Recommendations (anime): 1. Banana Fish 2. Devilman Crybaby 3. Shinsekai Yori 4. Shiki 5. Paranoia Agent 6. Black Lagoon 7. Deadman Wonderland 8. Ghost Hount 9. Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom
There’s a hidden gem called Sun-Ken-Rock made by Boichi, the guy behind Dr.Stone’s drawings (not the story). I’d suggest it, it generally has the same level of detail as Vagabond and Berserk alongside a really good story that leads to another manga. Boichi’s works are like the MCU, all interconnected.
My top 10 no particular order tbh JoJo. SBR Monster To your eternity Daiya no ace Vinland saga Oyasumi punpun Umi no misaki Chainsaw man Boku no hero academia One piece
One Piece stays my undisputed #1. Apart from that, Masked has a really great list! If I look at this list slightly more objectively I would still place it just below Berserk, Monster and Vegabond. As a story, I just think OP is superior 🤷 If y'all wanna argue: I'm not in the right place to read Pun Pun right now. I've only seen the anime of JoJo, Vinland Saga and AoT (which is my fav anime btw).
i dont think Op is superior since the dialouges is really cringy. See if one piece a light novel the lines are not that deep but rather a joke. One piece is really good at world building but the mysteries in onepiece isnt related to the plot but rather to a character
Op is great. Greatest shonen all of time actually. But in quality comparison berserk, monster, and steel ball run definitely much superior in my honest opinion
@@aditxd1 Actually i think One Piece is equal if not even better in quality. There are just some aspects that other manga do better (like character depth or fights) which every person individually lays more weight on. If you talk about the best it's coming down to personal preference which One Piece hits the most for me.
This top 10 is good for someone like me, started my manga journey almost 4 months ago and been looking into Manga's. Thank you for the video and keep up the good work sir!!!!
You should read Ashita no Joe, its so underrated because no one knows about it (its over 50 years old). My 3rd favorite manga of all time. It was way beyond its time.
I personally dislike DARK stuff (as in sad/depressing, not talking about gore or violent). It may just be me but depressing stuff is a big no-no for me. I've just never experienced deep sad feelings, so I can't relate and I don't want to feel like crying after reading that stuff, so I just skip all that I am an enjoyment seeker. This is only my opinion. Don't want fans of Punpun etc.. to attack me
@Mr. Green Nothing good comes out of nihilism. Reading/watching a story that keeps telling you that everything is bad, nothing matters and it'll never get any better. Doesn't help anything. It's down right satanism. Though i haven't read Punpun, i've heard it isn't like that. So i'll give it a shot.
@@beastvicious8672 Although I understand were you coming, that first sentence is not true. Great art (being music, books, painting) have come out of true nihilism. I agree to carry that feeling all the time is hmm idk ..pointless i guess for this short thing we call LIFE, but it has produced quality stuff.
@@beastvicious8672 1:Just because an author writes something with his own nihillist philosophies in mind doesnt mean that you as the reader have to interpret it that way and get that out of it. "Death of the Author" as you probably have heard before, or how i like to call it, "Werkimmanenz", the german Word for it (basically translates to "Text independence), which is very apt i think^^ 2: "Nihillism" is not a singular thing. There are many different branches of "nihillist" philosophy and generalizing them as one negative thing is doing some of htem a big disservice. Because tell me, how do YOU define NIhillism? For example, my own personal Philosophy which i have named "positive Nihillism" has done NOTHING BUT GOOD for me as a person and for my happiness. Because my credo is: "Life has no meaning, nothing exists for a purpose, and there is no goal the universe strives towards except for entropy. BUT, while being a terrifying thought in one way, isnt that also the ultimate freedom? If this is true, which i am sure it is, it means i am the Master of my own fate. I decide who i want to be and what i want to do and the only person i must justify myself infront of, is ME. And if i am a good person, i am so because i want to adhere to my own Ideals and treat others as i would want to be treated and not because of any "divine" or "superhuman" Laws or reward/punishment. The selfgovernance of the human spirit." Depending on what kind of person you are, a nihillist view of the World can be a major positive factor for you and the world arroudn you. Just like a Nihillist Work of Art can make some people discover the beauty and colour in the world. And 3: Tell me one TRULY and ABSOLUTELY nihillist Work without any positive message or that is a case study of the depths of human depravity and sadness. I cant think of ANYTHING that is 100% destructive in its messages while also being made well enough to be taken seriously. Most nihillist or depressing works are the way they are to contrast the darkness/meaninglesness of the world against the spirit and determination of humanity to overcome our inner turmoil. Or to show people in those dark places who cant help them selves out of it that many others went/go through the same thing and there IS HOPE. There IS A WAY. I could go on and on about how confronting yourself with the horrors of reality and the human condition can make you a more mature, intelligent and kinder person, but i think you get my picture, at least i hope i formulated it well enough to understand, its kind of my thoughtjamble so sorry for the long text^^ Also, last thing before i go, "Satanism"? Really? Just as with Nihillism, "Satanism" isnt ONE THING, never generalize, Life is far to complex and nuanced for that. There are a lot of amazing and kind people who are some sort of "satanist". I know a couple of them actually^^. So yeah, have a good day!^^
I really reccomned you reading more of Takehiko Inoue, Slam Dunk & Real. It's from the same guy that made Vagabond. And since Vagabond is Top 2 in your list, you will definetly enjoy them.
I finally cought up to wano and my love for one piece have returned I will put it above bleach and JoJo part 5 so it is my top 4 favourite series now (if I reread it it may go even higher) after demon slayer and aot and dB (aot is the only one that I think is better than one piece but I had more fun with DS and DB)and I am only on ep 15 of Vinland Saga and I loving it so far it may slide to number 6 for me and I heard the manga is great
From your top 10 , I can see clearly what kind of requirements/vibe a manga needs to have for you to include it . I think mystery, trailer, war , topics are what gravitates you to a manga . As a one piece fan I think it's to low on your list, but top have it as well as HxH on your top ten considering what follow it's quite an accomplishment for both series . Good job
Okay my top 10 1. One piece 2. Attack on titan 3. Hxh 4. Haikyuu 5. Kingdom 6. Mob psycho 7. Death Note 8. Tower of god 9. Naruto (original) 10. One punch man

Lol. I remember reading it accidentally for the first time when I was 11 and I got nightmares. 5 years later I picked it up again and I really like it. My favorite comic next to the bone series.
Agree with list My main manga was and will be Berserk. Back, in high school I WAS SHOCKED that something like Berserk exists. That was 20 years ago, and feeling is always there... Hidden in the shadows and came out in a full glory every time I take to read/ watch Berserk. Chills that I get every time I read Berserk never failed me 👍
20th Century Boys is one of the greatest series I've ever read. I'm still reading Monster but it has been much harder to get into as it doesn't have nearly the same focus on mystery as 20thCB and is all around much darker in tone in the beginning than 20thCB.
I've been watching your channel and others like it where manga/anime fans discuss their favorite series and why, and I think I see a trend. Many of the top-rated series are seinen, often action or drama-related from Vagabond and Berserk to Vinland Saga (love that one) and Attack on Titan. Plus Goodnight PunPun and 20th Century Boys. Many of these, to me, closely resemble American comics and graphic novels in visual style, tone and content, as opposed to the more flamboyant series like Naruto, Fairy Tail, DBZ, Black Clover, Seven Deadly Sins and the like. Maybe western manga fans like you and me see these mature seinen series as something more familiar, being in a similar vein as Alan Moore and Frank Miller stuff. Many of these series would work nearly as well as American comics, but I wouldn't say the same about Naruto or Fairy Tail, for example. I like both routes, but lately I've been thinking that seinen action and drama series really are the way to go, since seinen has much more creative freedom in storytelling and themes, and not just because seinen can be R-rated. Seinen can be anything, while shonen kinda *has* to be like cartoons where the good guys are role models for kids and have black and white good vs evil. Seinen is more like real life, with more nuance and unanswered questions and ambiguity. I'm collecting more seinen series in my own growing manga collection, and in January I want to pick up series like Vagabond, 20th Century Boys and a few shonen like Deadman Wonderland. And maybe even Berserk! I'll see about that last one; my roommate read it and hated it, but we'll see!
Loving the reviews but where are the in depth analysis about characters and themes like it was done for berserk? Would love to hear deep analysis of vagabond like you've done with berserk in the past.
You should make a thoughts so far on the anime here after you get caught up like jojolion. And later down the line I'd love to see an almost "Welcome to the world of X" series where you recommend why you should watch/read a series tackling the worstcomings at the start and strongest later in the video, possibly with collab or outside help if it does have an anime adaptation
Yeah me too. I think Togashi should hire an expert drawnman just like the creator of One Punch Man did. But he is too protective with his story. If he ask the Shonen Jump, they will surely let him because it would increase the sale of volumes
Great list, almost everything in your list that i have read is in my top 10 as well beside a couple. I'd love to recommend you a short 18 chapter manga that I recently put in my top 10 that i figured was just going to be another short story to check off my list but I fell in love with called "I sold my life for ten thousand yen per year." or "Jumyou wo Kaitotte Moratta. Ichinen ni Tsuki, Ichimanen de." I'd love to hear your opinion on it. If you end up not liking it at least its only 18 chapters haha
My top 10 all of time SBR Berserk Vagabond Slamdunk Kingdom HxH One Piece AOT Last but not least fairy tail Haha im just joking my number 10 is Last game
Up until the end of the Chimaera Ant Arc, it's very solid. The really pretentious parts filled with paragraphs of just text really only happen starting from the HisokaxChrollo fight and throughout the current arc (which is admittedly the worst arc Togashi has ever written). It's a shame because as most of us who enjoy HxH know, Togashi is capable of fantastic writing.
Highly recommend checking out the Mobile Suit Gundam (The Origin) manga. It's a re-telling of the original Gundam series, and it's written and drawn beautifully.
Your taste is becoming more and more mature. You have become a man of culture, and I welcome you to the true man's world.

Agree
I think jojolion is more confusing in the first 60 chapters because things didnt got resolved and then later they did and have one mission. To defeat main villain.

4. JBA - SBR
5. One Piece
After AOT's back to back consistently well chapters, I could see it passing Vagabond on my list (specifically cause I'm just a bit picky about certain things that happened late Vagabond). One Piece in recent chapters have been disappointing me, but I have a lot of faith in Oda and the series (maybe that's why I am disappointed by it), so that's why it would really stand well with 4 come up.

what chapters of One Piece were you talking about at that time? just curious lol
@@ultratronger This was when the crew now reached Oniigashima, and Zoro just kinda cut up the buildings and shit, there's more but off of memory that's one I remember most.
Vinland Saga, Goodnight Punpun, Vagabond, Berserk, SBR, and Dorohedoro are all amazing manga
Monster and Vagabond...

1. gons plotarmour against genthru is the sole purpose he won the fight and in thr fight he lost his hands just to be healed ( dbz vibes )
2. nen exchange asspull, kurapika had to train a lot and it is not shown how much he trained to do the nen exchange but all gon knew about it is that you have to exchange something for something else which even pitou knew about yet she didnt do that so called nen exchange, the fact that gon did it in one second without any training or anything is pathetic plotarmour and the concept of nen exchange itself is patheic because kurapikas life is not equal worth of killing all of the pt members .
3. alukka zoldyck asspull, accept it or not , it doesnt matter how much togashi connected the next chapters with alukka she is just a pathetic excuse to save gons ass, gons plotarmour is really pathetic at this point . he didnt even lose his nen as stated by ging , alukka opens a way to many plotholes such as " why couldnt killua kill mereum, bring back kite , why couldnt he teleport to the hospital "
5. killua and alukka share a bond so that there is no consequences for her to heal gon.......thats another horseshit reason to save gon
6. kites reincarnation is totally pointless
7. if u think about it dbz and hxh are the same , in both series even if u die you will come back ( meruem , kite , gon , hisoka) atleast dbz had dragon ball in ita name itself.
there are ton of problems in the foundation of the series itself, even the name hxh is a shitty name to this series which i dont want to get into because we are just taking about the plotarmour here .

This list is deadass actually awesome
I also forgot to mention that the straw hat grand fleet has a total of 5,640 people which would be a game changer

Yes, it is a pretty great series.
When punpun got mentioned MaskedMan whole mood changed lol
It's relatable
johan liebert it is
Anyone here been waiting for this or is it just me
Nvm I'm disappointed in this I've seen all of them
My favorites are similar to yours. Your taste of manga is awesome imo.
Highly agree with your top 5. Here are some recommendations you won't regret.
Recommendation(manga):
1. Chainsawman 2. Jujutsu Kaisen 3. Tokyo Ghoul 4. Uzumaki
and the manga of all the anime stated below.
Recommendations (anime):
1. Banana Fish 2. Devilman Crybaby 3. Shinsekai Yori 4. Shiki 5. Paranoia Agent 6. Black Lagoon 7. Deadman Wonderland 8. Ghost Hount 9. Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom
def chainsaw man and fire punch, those are so fkn crazy
LOVE the manga version of Tokyo ghoul
There’s a hidden gem called Sun-Ken-Rock made by Boichi, the guy behind Dr.Stone’s drawings (not the story). I’d suggest it, it generally has the same level of detail as Vagabond and Berserk alongside a really good story that leads to another manga. Boichi’s works are like the MCU, all interconnected.
My top 10 no particular order tbh
JoJo. SBR
Monster
To your eternity
Daiya no ace
Vinland saga
Oyasumi punpun
Umi no misaki
Chainsaw man
Boku no hero academia
One piece
glad to see Monster being mentioned!!
One Piece stays my undisputed #1. Apart from that, Masked has a really great list!
If I look at this list slightly more objectively I would still place it just below Berserk, Monster and Vegabond. As a story, I just think OP is superior 🤷
If y'all wanna argue:
I'm not in the right place to read Pun Pun right now.
A man of culture🤞🏽
Op is great. Greatest shonen all of time actually. But in quality comparison berserk, monster, and steel ball run definitely much superior in my honest opinion
@@aditxd1 Actually i think One Piece is equal if not even better in quality. There are just some aspects that other manga do better (like character depth or fights) which every person individually lays more weight on. If you talk about the best it's coming down to personal preference which One Piece hits the most for me.
@@aditxd1 One Piece is very better and much complex and rich than Berserk Monster and SBR.
This top 10 is good for someone like me, started my manga journey almost 4 months ago and been looking into Manga's. Thank you for the video and keep up the good work sir!!!!
love how my guy said "one piece, when all is said and done" like im gonna be alive by then
You should read Ashita no Joe, its so underrated because no one knows about it (its over 50 years old). My 3rd favorite manga of all time. It was way beyond its time.
I personally dislike DARK stuff (as in sad/depressing, not talking about gore or violent). It may just be me but depressing stuff is a big no-no for me. I've just never experienced deep sad feelings, so I can't relate and I don't want to feel like crying after reading that stuff, so I just skip all that
I am an enjoyment seeker.
This is only my opinion. Don't want fans of Punpun etc.. to attack me
Nihilism sucks, i agree!
@@fungus_am0nguz644 What good has it done?
@@beastvicious8672 1:Just because an author writes something with his own nihillist philosophies in mind doesnt mean that you as the reader have to interpret it that way and get that out of it. "Death of the Author" as you probably have heard before, or how i like to call it, "Werkimmanenz", the german Word for it (basically translates to "Text independence), which is very apt i think^^
2: "Nihillism" is not a singular thing. Because my credo is:
"Life has no meaning, nothing exists for a purpose, and there is no goal the universe strives towards except for entropy. The selfgovernance of the human spirit."
Depending on what kind of person you are, a nihillist view of the World can be a major positive factor for you and the world arroudn you.
I could go on and on about how confronting yourself with the horrors of reality and the human condition can make you a more mature, intelligent and kinder person, but i think you get my picture, at least i hope i formulated it well enough to understand, its kind of my thoughtjamble so sorry for the long text^^
Also, last thing before i go, "Satanism"? Really? Just as with Nihillism, "Satanism" isnt ONE THING, never generalize, Life is far to complex and nuanced for that. There are a lot of amazing and kind people who are some sort of "satanist". I know a couple of them actually^^.
So yeah, have a good day!^^
You're not the masked man. You're a cultured man
I wanna hear your thoughts on the Battle Angel Alita manga
I love the first manga but the sequel is garbage in my opinion.

My main manga was and will be Berserk.
Back, in high school I WAS SHOCKED that something like Berserk exists.
That was 20 years ago, and feeling is always there... Hidden in the shadows and came out in a full glory every time I take to read/ watch Berserk.
Chills that I get every time I read Berserk never failed me 👍
look up Mononoke. That shit is insane. 12 episodes of straight heat. 10/10 masterpiece.
Every panel of Berserk Conviction Arc belongs in a museum
I can't belive Emergence is not on the list ;)

20th Century Boys is one of the greatest series I've ever read. I'm still reading Monster but it has been much harder to get into as it doesn't have nearly the same focus on mystery as 20thCB and is all around much darker in tone in the beginning than 20thCB.
I feel Monster's anime is better than its manga, as the anime is so well done, it overshadows the manga.
Can u make a video on current arc after u catch up to one piece
I'm excited to start reading some of these mangas, thanks man! Feel like they all have something really good to offer in their own way.
I highly recommend reading blade of the immortal
You should make a thoughts so far on the anime here after you get caught up like jojolion.
And later down the line I'd love to see an almost "Welcome to the world of X" series where you recommend why you should watch/read a series tackling the worstcomings at the start and strongest later in the video, possibly with collab or outside help if it does have an anime adaptation
I can understand hxh it has a great story and it’s on of my favorite shonen, but I agree I wish the art was as great as the story.
Yeah me too. I think Togashi should hire an expert drawnman just like the creator of One Punch Man did. But he is too protective with his story. If he ask the Shonen Jump, they will surely let him because it would increase the sale of volumes
I love HxH but i prefer to buy volume of Vinland or Shumatsu because their art is really enjoable

I really can't read hunter x hunter, a page filled with mostly text is the scariest thing I have ever seen
So far into the manga of HxH there isn't really a ton of text, that just happens until later arcs and for some panels.
