40 year old UK cannabis patient of 18 months. I spent a good 15 years on all kinds of pain medication for a degenerative spinal condition before trying medical cannabis. It's very expensive but it has given me my life back. I work full time and also run a business. Prior to cannabis I was thinking of wrapping the business up as it was too difficult given the side effects I was struggling to function day to day. The sad thing is many people will view me as a "druggy" when I'm a hard working family man. I urge the UK government to take a more common-sense approach to cannabis and end the stigma.

They can't say no. Get your medical report, tell them you're using your right to choose and go private. You have to pay for it but there's plenty of clinics. MaMedica, Sapphire clinic etc just ring them and speak to them about the process. A lot of people have commented on the ease of it so don't be put off by the GP. I've been shut down numerous times on an autism/ADHD diagnosis when I'm nearly 100% sure I have it. They care more about their own bias and ego than actual medical care.

I suffer from severe joint pain , my gp has run out of ideas to help me as painkillers don’t work , and here’s me self medicating thanks to the local dealer hooking me up with oil .
In my experience, the medical cannabis switch from traditional meds has been very positive, which means no more opiates! so then no other problems are caused i.e. hospital admissions (which I've had in the past or weight loss). The big downside is the cost but the general service is very good i.e getting the product speaking to the doctors, follow-up appointments etc, better than my GP).
Funny that he said gives anxiety it takes mine away decriminalisation is what we need we should all be able to grow or purchase and not for silly prices can easily medicate for a good few months each time at a fraction of the price what big pharma charge us patients

Started smoking weed shortly after and it helped me so much that I was able to graduate from both college and university. It’s truly a life preserver for a lot of people and it’s a shame that it’s so hard to access

No idea where you get your figures from but you are a few years out of date, It costs about £150 a year and flower is around £80 for 10 grams. Some cheaper, some more expensive. Some of its not that great, but then you are also getting strains from the US like Tysons farm etc. You get what you pay for, just the same as anything. The reason there is no UK grown is to do the Government and licensing laws, get on to them if you have a problem. Oh and Big Narstie doesn't grow in Portugal, it's just his name endorsing the product. it's grown by Herdade das Barrocas which funny enough is a Portuguese company. And the reason why every UK company is selling to external countries is because the market is bigger. Why sell to less than 300,000 people, when you can sell to more than 30,000,000 people?
