I don't know if I can cut out my post run chocolate milkshake. Maybe I can start making health shakes again.
My mindset has always been "eat whatever you want in moderation, and exercise regularly."
BTW, I heard fenbendazole can be helpful for cancer treatment.

My Moms motto is the same! I should have given the caveat that pure cacao is different than processed chocolate, so it may depend on what’s in your shake!

@@HealthyFamilyDoc what are your thoughts in eating high amounts of unsweetened chocolate/cacao nibs/cacao powder? I LOVE cacao and eat it in these forms daily. It’s one of the few “treats” i still have in my diet which makes my food tasty for me. It’s all from good quality organically grown beans and no sugar (my friends find it bitter, but to me it’s a treat now haha). The amount fits in my caloric allowance but i’m somewhat worried about heavy metals…should this be a concern? Also the stearic acid…I hear it’s not really bad for cholesterol like the other types of saturated fats? Curious to know your thoughts.. I should also mention I don’t drink coffee but do drink one cup of pure matcha a day. So in terms of caffeine I don’t think i’m going overboard.

@@Seanonyoutube it sounds like overall your are making really healthy choices. I’d have to look in to the heavy metals in cacao- it seems better than other “sweet” alternatives that are high in sugar. Cacao does have minerals, antioxidants, and generally is a health food. Though everything in moderation!!

@@HealthyFamilyDoc thanks doc! I try to limit to a quarter bar a day 😅 but it’s just so good! It’s crazy how after cutting out all added sugars, my brain just adapted to much more bitter flavors. I only realized this when I offered it to my friends and they nearly puked hahaha. But I feel good. A1C down from 14.3% to 5.4% in 5 months. Now I need to tackle cholesterol. 💪🏽 Cutting down on the meats and trying to add more plant protein, but i’m a little worried that the higher carbs that accompany plant protein will make glycemic control harder. I’m hoping this is not the case based on Roy Taylor’s research which indicates that fat loss is the key. I did lose almost 80 pounds. So will be adding more beans and lentils and see how I do with that.

@@Seanonyoutube wow amazing!! That is fantastic, and I bet you feel so much better.
And I would agree, whole plant based foods are not the enemy, following the duo “mastering diabetes” on Instagram. Whole Foods are not going to disrupt your glycemic control, fat loss is key! Congratulations
