Its awesome that Ms. Hilary is into old trucks and she was willing to clinb in and steer if needed be thats a good woman most would have said no way . I have 2 58s and a 59 all fleetsides but they are all shortboxes. Keep up the good work im excited to see this build
I’m a new subscriber and I’m a retired welder who loves to watch the younger guys rebuild these old iron trucks! I love fabrication and welding and I’m not a big tech mechanic but I like watching yall wake up these old engines! Plus I enjoy listening to yall explain everything and what you’re going to do! Plus you might want to get in touch with Derek from ViseGrip Garage, he has connections everywhere too my friend! Another guy is Dalton from Pole Barn Garage too and he’s in I believe northern Missouri! Just a few that I watch their channels!
Welcome aboard! Yeah I like to fabricate myself. But it doesn’t get as much traction as the revivals. Going to do some fab work to this old thing soon hopefully 👊🏻
Thats going to be a cool truck after you put your touch on it. She got a lot of character. Great save from the scrape yard. We need more old trucks on the road.
Sweet build, future! I'm building one a 59, was a pulp wood truck with a 327 Corvette fuely engine in it. Now, I'm building it, 4 years now, it's on a 90's frame, an 80s step side bed, a Ford V-10 superchargerd and a five speed. It will be in the tube one day. Good luck with your build.
Hey!! It was so good to see Miss Hillary on your channel buddy. The sound went out on the video, and I couldn't tell if it was my computer I was watching from. I was so excited to see your truck The Blue Goose! Woohoo, you are going to be working your magic in your welding skills for sure. It was so AWSOME to see the number of thumbs up and your subscribers. Keep up the great channel. Blessings to you and your peeps. 💙
i think its awesome , mine sit in the woods for 19 years , just as rough as yours there , i drive it all the time now ,, i dont mind it being a little rough
I just noticed that you’re wearing a CWC cap, so you know Corey and Hannah! 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻 when I was younger a buddy of mine had a 62 Ford 3/4 ton truck and it was a unibody! Craziest looking thing I’ve ever seen! The whole body was one piece, cab and bed!
My brother is a pretty good mechanic and he always tells me , first thing is check all grounds first! Good ground is the main thing! Maybe you should get one of those starter buttons so you can be right there when she pops! Just things I’ve seen on other channels my friend! Need someone feeding the carburetor some gas!
just reach up under the dash and unplug the wires from the ignition and hot wire it or hook wires from the battery to the coil and other wires to the starter and do it that way. it's not hard to get them old trucks going. Those trucks have the 235 straight 6 engine
I bet your clutch plates are rusted together you can spray some up there and try to work it with pry bar also please clean your plugs first before firing old school carburetors tap with crescent wrench on the side it breaks some loose from sticking
Hello All'. I love all the resurrections. Ford and Chevy! Just wish the "UAW's were more on the East Coast or other. "SPECIALLY. "FUK' UP. FORD'S FOCUS AND... ETC. sorry for explicit language. Thanx for your time.!
There’s acualy a Blue Goose 57 Chevy build. It’s a cool build. And then the videos stopped. Neat truck you got. Could last you a life time. Be good to see underneath. Good luck. Price was rite. 👍
Maybe if you check with CWC (Corey Wheat Customs) , he’s in Indiana I believe! He might possibly be able to help you or tell you where you might find a drivers side door!
got lucky i had bad luck this weekend a crewcab squarebody popped up in my price range friday night i sent a message to the seller no word woke up sat morning to check back with them an it was already sold
There was spark to the plug the engine is turning over so slow it just seems like there was none but you must remember the plug only fires once a revolution it don't spark constantly you need the engine to spin faster to even think of getting it to go you need to charge that battery or something
Pull that boat 🚤 Anchor out and drop at LS 6.1!!!! & Put a wiggly on it!!! As my EX used to tell Me on the farm!!She got the 20 acres with Natural Gas ⛽️ & wells,I got out with all my Hot Rods,My 74-C-20 454/400 Super Cheyenne Longhorn ,Sits out side enfront my New City 🏡,New Wife wants me to sell it!!NEVER HAPPEN!!!Looks like the yard man is here 🇺🇸🥃TX

I’d lose that in fuel tank. Mine busted on me while driving. Flooded the cab. Good job nobody was smoking or a spark didn’t ignite it. I would have been Good Night .
Weird u said that about trucks having there city or county on there trucks.. I'm redoing my grandpa's old 71 c10 and he had name and city on side of truck too .. makes since
Get the wife out and put her in the truck and you under the hood. Hold the throttle full to the floor and choke the engine by putting your hand over the carb. 😅
Why you want to take all that nasty dirt and crap into your workshop. What you removed from the glove box was very bad for your lungs with no mask. Number one job. Blast um down. Disinfectant.
Clean the plugs, get spark, check plug wires, check coil for 12 volts, make sure when it's cranking you still have 12 volts to coil. Then gas it.
It's always happiness getting a n old truck running
For sure 👊🏻

Exactly it is running,
👊🏻🤘🏻
Degrease EVERYTHING, power wash inside and out, then lube up ALL, its safer, easier to work on, hot wire easier than destroying ignition

That's a 58, clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing. Then brakes and all four wheel cylinders.
Heck yeah

Very cool truck, congrats! Looking forward to more videos on it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. The 2nd video is out now 👊🏻🤘🏻
All you have to do is hot wire power battery to coil you'll have power to start
Right on. I was just trying to get it to work with the factory stuff. Thanks though 👊🏻

It's running but still check the valves. That's the popping.
Even I might have passed on that one. I’m sure you will make it cool man.

Very true! Not sure if it would work on this starter. It has the pedal on the floor that closes the contacts. But I’ll look into it 👊🏻

Great find! Man she put up a fight to get running. I gotta say I haven’t seen a long bed fleetside Apache. Excited to see what you do with it.
You know I’m about that long bed life lol. Thanks for watching 👊🏻
Pull the valve cover and turn the motor over to see that all the valves are closing. If not closing tap with hammer, lightly not hard.
Good idea 👍🏻

it seems to have compression problems, valve stuck and/or piston rings.
It’s cleared up a lot now 👊🏻
Didn't wash truck, didn't soak cylinders, didn't check valve train ....
Just started cranking
It was cringe
Wash
Check oil
Pull plugs
Soak cylinders
Hand turn
Inspect valve train
Check spark
New plugs
Then key crank
Thanks for the advice 🤘🏻👊🏻
SPARK ?😮
The clutch might be rusted to the flywheel might be why you can't put it in gear
Make sure to check out the 2nd video. Mice had a hand in the issue lol
Wait! No PBR behind the seat?
We will have to wait to see during the clean up video 🤔😂
Not spinning fast enough. Oil pressure has to build up . That old starter hanging in there .

It might be low on compression
The first one had spark and not the second one

I don't know if you are considering it, but there's probably a market for it once it's running. How about posting a price.
Honestly I haven’t even thought about selling yet. Just enjoying tinkering with it currently 👊🏻
I know I would be interested, I've looked for something like that for some time.
Is the truth got a droplet clutch
Check the muffler
It’s gone lol

I did 👍🏻

If you don't have gas going to the carb it doesn't do any good to pump the carb.
This was painful to watch. Cool truck though!

Probably.
please keep it original, don´t shorten or chassi swap it.
