I didn't see this, but I worked at a drive-in that showed it, and that "Happy happy Halloween" jingle drove me up the wall!
The 80's style creep factor of this movie is just awesome. It's creates such a cool atmosphere that's throughout the movie. I've seen this movie so many times and never get sick of it.
Same
Same. There's something hilarious and charming out movies from this period.
it's so underrated. i love the creepyness the snacks in the mask terrified me when I first saw this at 10 years old
Movies complete garbage atlease I see why they make horrible movies and who for
Why ya gotta yuck people's yum? Being named after a wannabe pet rock substitute from the 90s, I'd figure you'd be more accepting of rose colored nostalgia... Rocks and glass houses, and all that.
Now I still can't get that Silver Shamrock jingle out of my head!
It's "London Bridges," so should be public domain, I'd think.
@@Sandlot1992 ugh...same! 😂
One of the robot assassins is played by Dick Warlock, who besides having the best name ever, played Michael Myers in Halloween II
And was Kurt Russells stunt double for Escape from Ney York!
IMHO, Halloween II was the best one in the franchise.
I, too, am a Dick Warlock
I’m something of a Dick Warlock myself
He was also that mysterious figure who got infected by the Dog in The Thing
"Wait, wait a minute, how old are you?" " YOU'RE ASKING THIS NOW?" 😅😅😅😅
Yea big WTF?! moment
@@DavHas-c1r so it was a inside joke
@@DavHas-c1r ok?
🤣😆😅
That's always the best way to play it😂
Cookies in the fridge: THIN MINTS! Always.
I’m glad I caught this before the big giveaway at 9.
And damn, both Tom Atkins and Dan O’Herlihy were great here!
Tom Atkins? Oh, you mean Papa Mustachio!
The BEST thing about this movie was the jump scare sound effects. 😂
Frozen cookies are amazing. The human equivalent for a bone for a dog. Takes much longer to eat but is so rewarding!
Only thin mints
I can’t believe CinemaSins is doing my favorite movie of all time. This is awesome.
I love, love LOVE this movie, warts and all!! ❤❤❤ 8 more days till halloween, halloween, halloween, 8 more days till halloween, SILVERRR SHAMROCK!!
He is finally doing it!
Like... FINALLY!
Right now we need scream 3 Damit
lol wtf is this?
@@drewwilson5026 The best Halloween film in the franchise.
Not everyone is eager to sit through a lousy sequel like H3 Season Of The Witch.
@@2coolhipdude Exactly
I'm at 9:43... there better be a "wait, wait, pull what out?" outake from Old School at the end 😂
Time to sin a Halloween movie that doesn’t even have Michael Myers in it! (Okay, that’s not completely true. He makes a small cameo in a commercial, but that’s about it.)
This is unironically my favorite movie in all the Halloween franchise
Wait Michael Myers created Halloween? I'm pretty sure the holiday was around way before him
@@Giran_0Halloween franchise created by John carpenter 😂
@@Giran_0 Nope it was invented in 1978 by John Carpenter you're welcome.
Didn't Even Understand That Stupid Movie! #3
The first Halloween and Halloween III are my all time favorite Halloweens
Nice Doctor Who line at the end there. That's why I always stick around for the outtakes.
I mean - the robot being oblivious to the car makes sense to me. 'Target fixation' is a thing in reality, as well of variants of it where basically you lose all sense of surroundings, it feels pretty on brand, especially in that universe, for robots to suffer heavily from it.
"Why is sudden horniness"? You do realize that that is Tom Atkins don't you?
If Tom Atkins is a rocking then don't come a knocking 😂
Tom Atkins mustache alone can make women ovulate.
Goddamn right!
For sure one of your best videos yet!
The one thing that keeps me coming back to this channel is that it makes me laugh so soon into the video. The one thing that always makes me laugh within the first 3 seconds, "Comcast" *ding*
Hoping and praying you continue with Friday the 13th Jeremy 🙏🙏
And Nightmare on Elm Street
This is my second favorite Halloween movie, after the 1978 original of course.
“Cats ignoring curfews” isn’t that their natural instinct?
I was so expecting Sin #129 to be...
Dan: "STOPPPP ITTTT!!!!"
Jeremy: "Stop it." **ding**
Honestly as time goes on this movie grows on me😂
"I hope you all enjoy hearing that Silver Shamrock jingle, because it will encompass approximately 87% of _Halloween III_ 's runtime and will haunt 100% of your dreams for the rest of your life."
_Halloween III_ is my fiancé's favourite Halloween film. I already hear it about 69,420% more than is necessary.
I did not realize until now just how many Halloween movies there are...
13 movies and over $900 million worldwide(unadjusted) The strange part is that 3 of them are just called Halloween 😂

No "wait wait pull what out" from Old School? 😢
BEHAVE YOURSELVES!!!1111oen
As a person who works in a hospital waiting in the hallway for the doctor to show up and look at the patient before they go into a room is actually pretty realistic lol
A movie I literally booed on opening night, and now it's usually my first watch in October. Flaws and all it grew on most Halloween fans, but it took awhile.
It's an interesting idea. Creepy, over scary, but it's different watching as an adult. Very creeped out at that time.
Its my fav of the originals
I love how at 13:36 you hear "Michael Myers might not be in this movie" right as the guy who played Michael Myers in Halloween II appears.
YES!!!!!! I’ve been asking for this one for years!😂
I ran the projector at the local Cinema in high school and this was one of the movies that we ran. To this day I love watching this movie. I have similar feelings for heavy metal and Pink Floyd The Wall.
This is what I like to see the older forgotten horror movies love watching all these videos.
This review was great . It took me a while to appreciate Halloween 3 for doing its own thing . I was in the " Where is Michael crowd ' . This is a good , fun movie to watch , and it definitely feels like a Halloween flick . The movie has its faults but every SIN should be removed based on the music alone . ITS AWESOME and fits every scene , perfectly .
Funny you mention that, I regularly listen to the H3 soundtrack on spotify, I do take out the silver shamrock theme however.
I like how immediately after not playing the jingle, he plays the jingle
2:09 yes there is a thing as unsafe lubricantion. It’s called a party at P Diddy’s house
Amazing movie choice and agree about the epilepsy thing - I can attest as I have it - literally and seriously 🎉
July, August, September, October, November = Jason ( his name is the initials of the months. )
I pointed this out to my bf and even after a lengthy explanation, he still didn’t get it. It’s simple!
And what about the other 7?
@@DH-xw6jp JFMAMJ of course!
@@jsmalls9575 oh, silly me.
How could I forget about Jason's long lost cousin Jfmamj D?

I saw this in the theater back in the 80's. That's two hours of my life I'll never get back.
I always thought Ellie was a robot from the start. She was sent to find out what Dr Chalis knew and to help contain him.
I can see why you'd think that. But he mannerisms (or lack thereof) came after the fact. Also, she stopped speaking when she was rescued.
That is right.
That's been a popular fan theory. I believe she was created intentionally just to lure some sucker like Challis in, maybe give him a challenge or as just one good joke.
I thought the same thing. Especially if you look at the bar scene, she asks Chalis what her father said, and when he lies she is ready to leave, until he decides to actually tell her what he said, that's when she proposes the idea of investigating his death
She was killed off screen and replaced. Think Stepford Wives where you only see one of them about to be murdered before their replaced.
2:09 To answer your question, yes there is such a thing as an unsafe lube. Oil-based lubricants will dissolve condoms so they should not be used together. Water-based lubricants are just as good if not better in most cases and are safe for use with condoms. Stay safe out there friends!
The only unsafe lube is lube that's in the hands of P. Diddy
Using motor oil as lube? And advertising it?
Also in the 80s it was sheep skin condoms
Thank you for providing us with this crucial information.
The more you know….🌈
Major props that this film, in spite of it being out of step with the last two for no reason of it's own, it does such a good job of using the commercial machine Halloween had become at that point (and still is) to engineer this grand tribute to the bloodsoaked days they believed the old celebrations of Samhain discreetly under the guise of a promotional celebration for kids. That is entirely why it has a better standing in my book than most of the sequels/remakes afterwards.
👍 Movie should have had a sin removed because this time, they got the pronunciation correct, unlike in Halloween II. Poor Dr. Loomis, he had enough on his mind without having to learn a little Irish Gaelic.
this is the only Halloween film ive seen..and I can say...that actually helps this movie A LOT having not seen the others
This movie sucked
You absolutely must watch the original Halloween. It is a classic! 🎃
Yep. Since the whole thing was never to be about him to begin with.
You're missing out.
By the way, JLC's mother was the girl in "Psycho."
@@windsofmarchjourneyperrytr2823 oh yeah!!! Janet Leigh...!!! 👍🎃
That's an awesome piece of movie trivia! I forgot all about that
I will watch anything Halloween III. This was hysterical!! You turned this movie into a comedy! I was waiting for the laugh track. 😅😂🎃
My favorite Halloween movie. Dan O'Herrilly is awesome and the music is great.
I still fondly remember watching this with my Dad at the drive in and at home with VHS. I was utterly terrified at everything I'd seen, including the music and robots. That year, I was so scared that I didn't wear *any* mask but pretended to (parents would have caught on if I didn't) convinced what happened in the movie would happen to me. Being same age or younger than those kids made it a little too real.
This was the first Halloween film I saw and I was so confused when people talked about Michael Myers!
I legitimately do like cold cookies sue me.
I'd have taken 100 sins off for Conal Cochran alone
*gives slow clap*
Not Priscilla Barnes catching strays!!!😂😂😂 P.S. Teri wasn't terrible.
I liked Cindy and Terri better than Chrissy. Not against Susanne Sommers, I liked She’s the Sheriff and Step by Step.
@randalgraves6979 Of the three, I'm choosing Terri. Chrissy was funny and tolerable at times, but Cindy got on my nerves ALL the time.
wow, and the silver haired guy ends up as CEO of omni consumer products
This is Donovan’s favourite movie.
1:50 if i saw this on tv if i were born in this time my mom would have been changed the channel
There was a planetary alignment in 1982 on Halloween. I remember this because I was told about it in school a week before I saw this movie in the theater 2 days after its release.
Wait..... I never saw this movie but I knew Michael Myers wasn't in it. So I just assumed it had witches based off of the title.... So you're telling me that this movie has neither Michael Myers OR on screen Witches?!?!
The whole thing was never meant to be about him. It was to be about events taking place during the day. (Also the Witch part was the story for this one, magic and whatnot.) But if it "helps", there were the witch costumes. lol
Yes robots and aliens
Cochran was a witch/warlocks
halloween was originally supposed to be an anthology series
@cablehogue599
Exactly. People really are kinda dumb on this, aren’t they? Cochran says “it was part of our world, our craft” to which Challis respond “witchcraft”
Cochran WAS THE WITCH.
1 MEGA sin for cutting out the AWESOME laser in your face scene at around the 10 minute mark.
7:45 I blame movies like this for why I, for no reason, say out loud what I'm doing and why I'm doing it when I see anybody around.
If you want to see the way people should act watch the Redford film All Is Lost.
Terrible movie, but the Silver Shamrock jingle is pretty catchy. It is back in my head over 30 years later. Thanks a lot, Cinemasins. 😜 🎃
Had to double check to see if it was a Halloween movie after watching for a few minutes.
I was genuinely confused the whole movie. Literally like “what does all this have to do with Michael Myers”
@@notsmii7ythe halloween fracnhise was originally meant to be an anthology series, not a slasher franchise
Flooring specialist here. If you’re interested in the look of laminate, I would recommend vinyl luxury plank. As long as the subfloor is clean, level and dry, you can click and lock them together.
I often feel like I'm in the minority with this take but I actually liked H3: Season Of The Witch. It wasn't exactly a masterpiece of a film but given what they were going for and hoping to do with the franchise, before they gave into fan pressure and just did more Michael Myers, I thought it was pretty good.
Yep. Kinda sad when people thought the movies were meant to be about him instead of the plans for stories taking place.
(I would've like to see it as a tv series like what they did with Elm Street)
And it's fun!! And, let's be honest, both the protagonist and antagonist have got so much rizz :D
This is my favorite one of the entire Halloween series it stood out and it was creepy
you are not alone. its my favorite one!
By B-horror movie standards, it’s good stuff
One of the best sci fi horror hybrids ever
Good review
This movie goes by really fast when your high.
That is an idea!
Im 53 and still love this movie, I know it's different than the other Halloween movies but as a kid it didn't matter to me and still doesn't. I love all the sins in this movie, lol.
In that 3 masks advert, there is a glimpse of Michael Myers mask for a split second at the end.
Really?
@@cablehogue599 See frame by frame, it appears just at the end frame
Sometimes i wonder how the halloween franchise wouldve gone had it stayed with the anthology route instead of going back on the Michael Myers route
Agree. Had the complainers didn't get their way and all. But they could've tried and gone a tv miniseries route like the Elm Street one.
We would have got some amazing awesome 80’s f-ed up horror from Carpenter each year.
I think they would have done both eventually and maybe crossedover in one of them.
Cookies with icing are delicious refrigerated or even frozen :)
Surprised there wasn't a Silver Shamrock advert bonus round...
This film is perfect. Don't know how you dare critique such a work of art!
I definitely love the cinematography, and some of the acting has a unique charm to it, but this is one of those movies I saw when I was a kid and couldn’t understand and then I thought I would be able to comprehend it when I was older, and nope, Still can’t piece it together. This really does need a sequel cause there’s so many questions lol.
One of my favorites, which started out as one of my least. Like most, I was thinking where the hell is michael? But then each time seeing it i appreciated more and more the creepy film it is. A crazed mask and toy maker, realistic robots, dark magic from stonehenge. It's bananas.
I've never heard "London Bridge is falling down" the same way since I saw this movie.
I sincerely wish that Halloween 3 could've been connected to the rest of the franchise....
I just think there was a lot of potential between Cochran, Myers, the mask, etc. etc.
What, no 'Stonehenge' from Spinal Tap in the outtakes?
It was a dark and stormy night.
Gradually, a shot rang out!
It's me. I put cookies in the fridge depending on what kind they are. You go to the store and you buy some keebler thin mints and put them in the fridge. Thank me later. I'll wait.
Ah, the black sheep of the franchise. This movie was responsible for deviating Halloween from an anthology back to a continuity mess. Having grown up with the franchise, I actually like 3 quite a bit. The trick is to not treat it as a Halloween film. The plot, banging synth music and tension are all really good when viewed independently.
Listen if Die Hard is a Christmas movie this is a Halloween movie
But it's actually about Halloween why do Michael Myers fans think he invited the holiday it doesn't make sense
@@Tigerfire75 I meant Halloween as in the franchise, not the holiday.
"The trick is not to treat..."
Was that little bit of poetry
on purpose?
Either way, cool.
"The trick is to not treat" nice little untintentional pun there!
Wanting this done for
Years!"❤ hell yeah! Ty !!!
6:24 Just a little side note about this critique. It could be that their particular town isn’t doing trick or treating until Monday, even though it’s not Halloween. Sometimes, different places do trick or treating on different dates, like if Halloween falls on a weekday, or other such reasons. Trick or treat for us this year is the first week of November, not October.
When Cochrane said "We don't decide these things, you know?" I instantly thought in the outro-clips you would have that clip followed by Edward Furlong(John Conner) "There's no fate but which we create."
You lost me when you said Los Angeles, Ireland 🤣😭🤣🤣🤣
Finally the best movie in the Halloween franchise
Sarcasm I hope!
Not the best, that is still the original, but the most underappreciated.

Unpopular opinion: This is one of the best entries in the ‘Halloween’ franchise and I so wish they went the anthology route.
