It's still crazy that we saw Cameron Boyce as a normal, fun, joyful, energetic guy who's just doing what he's good at and all of the sudden we lost him forever like a movie that ends abruptly. Cameron's death was one of few celebrity death that actually hurt me so much. I was younger than him at the time when he was alive and now i'm passed his age, it feels so weird for some reason 😭
Idk how sad this'll sound, but he passed the summer before my freshman year of college, and it took me a while to understand why it affected me so much. His death really felt like it signaled the end of my childhood in a way.
I’m not very emotional but Cameron’s death hit me really hard because 1. I loved him as an actor and dancer (my crush too) and 2. We were both the same age and it felt so sad someone my age abruptly left us😭

("Rotten To The Core" being my personal favorite.)
Disney Channel movies are supposed to be cheesy, it's why a lot of people love them. We know what to expect but it's really the music that makes it a huge stand out. They knew their audience, they didn't try hard to be so edgy and groundbreaking and that's what makes it so enjoyable
I mean it's right in line with them watching the High School musical movies for the first time. I feel like this was a natural progression, we're most likely also going to get lemonade mouth and the zombies movies
Kenny Ortega is one of my favourite filmmakers ever. Everything he touched on Disney makes it even better, i was blown away that he was the choreographer for the High School Musical and the Descendants movies. This man is incredibly talented, awesome to know that Disney awarded him with a "Disney Legend" award few years ago. Almost half of my childhood were in Kenny's hands, love it 🙌
Something that was in the 1st prequel book is that both Ben and Mal had dreams of each other in their respective homes, which is what led Ben to come up with the idea of bringing the Vks over to Auradon.

This was the closest Disney Channel ever got again to the High School Musical success and I find these movies to be a cute fun time. Made by Kenny Ortega who did HSM as well! I watched all these as an older teen in 2019 when I heard about Cameron’s death (was a fan from Jessie), and I’m glad I did cuz they’re honestly pretty alright
One small detail I love in If Only is how because the lake water stopped the effects from the cookie, you can hear Ben singing with Mal in the background of the song
The actress that plays Mel (purple hair) is Dove Cameron. She is a famous Disney actor for playing both main character twins in the show Liv & Maddie. She also has her own music which is pretty good and is popular which if you heard you might know.

A little more info on Dove. She led the Disney Channel show Liv and Maddie, where she play twins that are complete opposites. One twin is a basketball player and the other twin is a pop star. She did both parts perfectly. Also the actor who played Belle, Keegan Conner Tracey, was on Once Upon a Time as the Blue Fairy.
I really love this trilogy. I can’t wait for Descendants: Rise of Red. But it’s hard to watch without remembering Cameron Boyce, who portrayed Carlos De Vil in the movies. R.I.P. Cameron, he was taken from us so soon. He was my favorite Descendant. 😢❤

I know that this is based off of a book series. I never read it myself, but I remember seeing someone mention in another reaction video that Carlos is noted in the books and being very tech savy, which explains him figuring out the security code.
The books are based on the movies. Rare, I know, it's usually the other way around. I think the first book was released maybe a month or two before the first movie and that one is a prequel. I've never read them but I hear they're good 😊

Watching the Descendants movies and knowing Cameron isn't with us anymore hurts so much now though. He was such a good child actor as a kid, such a good actor as a young man, his dancing and his singing/rapping was amazing and I can't imagine how great his talent would of become if he didn't pass from his medical condition. He had such a promising future whether that was continuing in acting or if he decided to do music and dance instead

R.I.P Cameron Boyce, taken from us too soon, he is deeply missed. Fun fact, the video game that Carlos and Jay are seen playing is actually from one the first Dinsey XD shows called Aaron Stone, which was sadly canceled when they decided to focus more on comedy than action/adventure.

A little more info on Dove. She led the Disney Channel show Liv and Maddie, where she play twins that are complete opposites. One twin is a basketball player and the other twin is a pop star. She did both parts perfectly. Also the actor who played Belle, Keegan Conner Tracey, was on Once Upon a Time as the Blue Fairy.
I really love this trilogy. I can’t wait for Descendants: Rise of Red. But it’s hard to watch without remembering Cameron Boyce, who portrayed Carlos De Vil in the movies.

Cameron Boyce’s death really broke me as a kid. I remember it was a long time until I could start watching movies and shows with him without breaking into tears.
I absolutely loved the 1st 2 movies and used to watch them a couple times a year, its been a while though. But i wasn't a big fan of 3, but i have only seen 3 once and that was back when it 1st premiered on Disney Channel so many years ago, just because i remember talking about it at school the next fay

However haven't rewtached fully since the passing of Cameron (Carlos), I am so excited and ready to see you react to the second one. I know that this is based off of a book series. I never read it myself, but I remember seeing someone mention in another reaction video that Carlos is noted in the books and being very tech savy, which explains him figuring out the security code.
The books are based on the movies. Rare, I know, it's usually the other way around.
I think the first book was released maybe a month or two before the first movie and that one is a prequel.
I've never read them but I hear they're good 😊
