The scene where Haymitch read Plutarch's letter to Katniss was a last-minute change. The actor Philip Seymour Hoffman had passed away shortly before the end of production.
In lesser hands, Katniss's willingness to suffer for the whole world may seem like classic teen narcissism... But Jennifer Lawrence possesses an astonishing ability to convey profound emotional seriousness without ever seeming to do anything.
"These things happen in war." Coriolanus Snow has many expressive dialogues and fascinating meanings. And what he said that quote is 100% true. When either of us cross the line that means we would lose everything than just our foes' or friends', it is each side that became equally damaged and terrified. Question: how do we avoid from further bloodshed and destruction without some angry paranoid citizens?
It's a truly somber start to this second part of "Mockingjay", Katniss barely able to speak, Peeta just as damaged as we've left him off at the end of part 1. Gale's slow transformation into this more ruthless version of himself is understandable, given what he's seen when District 12 was destroyed. That being said, he still had a choice, like everyone else does. Snow's speech at the dinner celebration, followed by the classic poisoning - monumental scene, showing us just how confident he is everything will play like planned. Finnick and Annie's wedding was so sweet, even if, like you said, it definitely felt like a hard hitting moment for Katniss. Coin's talk with Plutarch about Katniss sneaking into the battle - that was the definitive moment we're shown Coin is no different than Snow, if anything, she's much worse. Peeta joining Katniss' team - talk about pushing the propaganda to a whole other level, once again, Coin showing her true colors. The scene where Boggs tells Katniss he's there to make sure she doesn't get killed by Coin's schemes - we know for sure he's gonna die, just like with Finnick getting his happy moment with the wedding, after how much he was tormented by Annie's capture during Part 1. It's morbidly hilarious, how quickly both Snow and Coin hurried to profit off Katniss' supposed death, trying to win the war. Laura's phone, with Siri acting so desperate, perfect comedic relief moment 😂 Finnick's death was heartbreaking, seeing him go down like that. He was probably one of the few that deserved a truly happy ending. Once they make it to the surface, the movie really stabs you by showing the panels with him. That talk between Peeta and Gale - top 5 yikes moments, for sure. Gale being taken away, the kids being taken into the mansion to be used as shields, the mass bombing of the civilians, Prim dying - things went pear shaped so fast. Snow's final conversation with Katniss, basically telling the viewers that Coin has been behind the mass bombing - that was incredibly satisfying. All about the power, like you said. It's ironic, how Gale was sent away in the end. He was just as much a victim of the war which engulfed them as Peeta was however, the heart wants what the heart wants. Coin really went full balls to the wall with her proposal to hold another round of Hunger Games 😂talk about saturday morning cartoon villain type of petty. As annoying as Snow was in previous movies, that final maniacal laughter we got from him - that was praise worthy. Coin getting the arrow treatment was probably the most satisfying moment in this movie. Everything happening after that, it all ended in a nice way. I would've liked to see Haymitch and Effie end up together, they deserved some happiness, or at least to enjoy each other's company more. The happy ending feels so surreal, after the last 3 movies, so many sacrifices and heartbreaking moments. Thank you for the amazin reaction ❤
The new movie is all about Snow when he was younger and how he became the man he is now I have not seen it yet though. I love the ending because despite all the darkness they have been through they now have some light as well and they get their happy ending. Grate reaction girls and glad you did this. Can't wait to see your reactions to the second Harry Potter movie by the way.
4:25 "That's a luxury we weren't given when they firebombed 12." This is why the rebellion is _better_ than the Capitol, Gale. It's not enough to be _greater._ It's not enough to find yourself in a _weaker_ position and maneuver your way into a _stronger_ position. You also have to use your actions to demonstrate why Panem is better off with the leadership of President _Coin_ than the leadership of President _Snow._ The prisoners you take from the Capitol you _have_ to treat better than they treat their prisoners or you're no _better_ than they are.
Except that’s not what coin wanted and they also didn’t give any warning when they bombed the kids… they actually were much worse… they lured them in specifically to kill the children
24:40: Fun Fact: This was shot in the same tunnel where the chase scene with Black Panther, Captain America and The Winter Soldier were in Avengers: Civil War took place.
And the scary thing is, like Coin, the true evil is disguising itself as good, and gaslighting those serving true good as evil. The media, this New World Order, they have brainwashed and corrupted so many. Few have any idea about the enemy we are up against.
11:54 I remember, _this_ move I had my doubts about and they were _never_ laid to rest. Peeta has a _serious_ need to undergo more treatment. The field is _not_ the place for him, right now.
A great reaction to the series ladies. Fantastic job. All of the twists and turns and emotions led to this movie and as a plus, since I have not seen this one it was a first time watching for me as well and your reaction was spot on with what I was thinking as well. Great job as always ladies
I knew the end would be shocking, emotional and confusing. It was a good reaction from you both (= Going through all the things coin would do or allow during the last book, it didn't make Coin out to be that much better than Snow, at one point Katniss found her makup team tortured and stuffed in a refrigerator if I remember right, and and I was seriously torn on if it was the best idea to execute snow, right up to the end. I think the move gave too much indication Katniss would change her mind. 38:26 When I first heard about Philips death from a Heroin OD, it was mentioned he hadn't filmed all of his scenes, and this scene was supposed to between her and Plutarg. This was his most impactful speech. don't start messing with drugs 😣 I don't recommend the prequel book or movie it's based off imo, just poorly written and has alot of plotholes
💜💜 The real villain in this amazing saga was not President Snow, but President Coin! President Snow was a Dictator, but he had his rules! President Coin had no rules, she was much more dangerous than Snow!
I was already suspicious of something when all those parachutes were dropped on the Capitol citizens, so I was not completely surprised when they all exploded. I wonder if others saw it coming as well.
If it's too much to ask, you think you too can react to the movie "The Boondock Saints fair warning it's R rated and a movie not many people knows about it, but it's a good movie.

Magy been interrupting the dialogue a little too much lately. Just blurting out unnecessary sarcasm lol I can’t hear what they’re saying. Other than that great reaction 👍

@gailseatonhumbert FYI, Jennifer is 5'9, and Josh, is 5'5 not 5'7. Anyway, are you really telling me women wouldn't choose the taller guy over the short one?

Yeah I cried for Finick also. He was my favourite character and also one of the most tragic.

Now you’re both prepared to watch the *prequel* that’s currently out now, which takes place 64 years before the first film.

Fun Fact, ladies: The little boy who played Katniss’s son was played by Jennifer Lawrence’s nephew!

@@Sageddegas Yeah, but no one knew that, at the time, and Gale had signed his loyalty to President Coin.
I loved your reaction when you see Peetas and Katniss with their own kids.
36:42 Laura called the twist lol

I rewatched this movie a couple months ago and was like hey that's the Civil War tunnel!

I like happy endings, especially after I cried so much. Great reaction girls. 😊

Now, I want you to watch The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes for Snow's backstory.
And the books are even better. Lovely reaction, ladies.
💜💜 The real villain in this amazing saga was not President Snow, but President Coin!
President Snow was a Dictator, but he had his rules! President Coin had no rules, she was much more dangerous than Snow!
It doesn't work this way. Coin being a horrible and ruthless person doesn't erase Snow's unforgivable cruelty. They both were villains.
I just whatched this movie for the 4th time yesterday 😂
Nice one, Ladies. If you ever get the chance you should read the books sometime. Thay are worth it. Thanks for sharing these movies with us. 🙂
Awesome reaction of my favorite The Hunger Games movie!!!!😊😊😊😊
Thank you for your reaction to the 2nd part of Mockingjay.

How is Jackson being gobbled by Mutts funny?

12:16 Cuffs? I mean, it makes sense for _law_ enforcement to carry them in the field; not soldiers.
You take prisoners in war so it only makes sense to have handcuffs or another method of restraint.
@@gailseatonhumbert9199 Oh. Well, I suppose so.
Very good reaction. Thank you.
Can you watch both. "Miracle cell in no. 7" you need to prepare a lot of tissue 😅😂
This looks like Christmas at the White House!
yeah it was clearly intentional. the enemy is mocking us.
Thank you ❤

The most surprising thing about this movie is that she ended up choosing the guy shorter than her over the 6'4"guy. In real life, however, it would be the opposite.
