Thanks! And I have not until now! I dont know how as his content seems right up my alley! I just looked him up and I am in love with his ‘60 Fury! Thank you for sharing. I know what I am watching tonight lol!
The paint is so old and damaged, it's going to be hard to bring it back. I will get a gray scratchpad, especially where the heavy rust is. Then get a thick wool pad for your buffer, and use like some mothers, are McGuire's rubbing compound. Once that is done you can do the same with mothers or McGuire's polishing compound. It will definitely make all the Chrome shine on your big areas, like your bumpers and such. Use the same process, some people will use 0000 steel wool. Looking forward to see how she ends up. And the material put on this channel. 👍👏 God bless
I did post a chrome video but paint correction will not be for a while. Currently I am testing the different spots to get the best results that I possible can with what I have. The hood is definitely not going to come up but the fenders might! Only time will tell. I appreciate the kindness and support!
I will be keeping it original the best I can. But certain things will be modified. All stainless brake lines. Stainless power steering lines. Stuff like that. Doesnt modify the true look of the car. Just want things to be more reliable.
@@robertstevison1448 oh im gonna do underglow with 42 inch DUBS lol (joking of course). Only aesthetic look i will most likely change will be bigger white walls, and a set of wheels that I can swap for normal driving around town when I take her out. I have all the original hubcaps and I do not want to lose them.
I did on some, and a majority of the paint came up pretty well. I will be doing a polishing video soon. A lot of the paint is still in great condition. Thanks for Watching!

COOL old car, am sure there are not many left. Will be watching, good luck.
There are not a whole lot left. Only around 12,000 were produced in ‘61. I’m sure that there are probably only a couple hundred left. If even that.

@@dans_Learning_Curve that I am. Yessir.
@@OLDSKUULGARAGE thank you!
Use a SOS pad or some real fine steel wool and lt will remove most of the rust that's on that paint
