I love their Tonka & Tobacco Flower scent, and currently have the shaving cream (two jars and the travel tube!), cologne, pre-shave oil, and post-shave gel. I love that the post-shave gel dries down and doesn't feel greasy. It's a great product, and I look forward to shaves with all of their products. I'm a customer for life.
I bet the shop is an awesome place to hang out! Bet it smells awesome there between the old brick building smell and the amazing products! Someday I’ll have to go west to check it out!
I use Taylor of old bond st sandalwood. Great product I would give one of these a try.
Can’t say I have tried any other English brand other than TOBS, which I quite enjoy. Might have to give it a go around. The shop must smell Divine.
Congrats Jeronimo Macias - you're the winner of the Weekly T-Shirt give-away! Please contact us at help@razoremporium.com with your address and size and we will get it shipped out right away! Thanks everyone! Stay tuned next week for another giveaway! - Razor Emporium Team
Great soaps. They have a very nice post shave feel, very nurturing. I like the Mandarin and Patchouli a lot.
Very good products I like the lavender and of course sandalwood 👍
Very nice line of products great to have in future
Their gels and creams are sooo good
I've been using Old Bond street Sandalwood for a while now and I would be happy to try the ST James version anytime
Hi Matt- Your product description of the St James soap is perfect. I have been using the Black Pepper & Lime for almost a year and it is always a great shave. Best regards, as always!
So many soaps so few shaves. All these wonderful products and I only get to shave once a day.
And I used to hate shaving! Thanks Matt for popping up in my search for a solution to cartridge razors 2 or so years ago.
I've converted many people since.
That's EXACTLY what we like to hear - thank you!
Oh I wish I could visit your store! I’m from Cleveland Ohio. Ah...but I do visit your online store all the time!👍
You're a fantastic anchor man
thank you :)
I enjoy TOBS Sandalwood. My curiosity was peaked for the St. James. Thanks for sharing.
And they just look classy! 👍🏻
Since you asked, I very much enjoy Phoenix and Beau!
I've tried this once. I don't know if it was old stock but it was a very hard cream. I prefer softer creams, like TOBS, GFT and Crown Shaving Co. But the packaging was superb, the scent was nice, although a bit understated for my taste, and it was a solid performer. One could do a lot worse but if the consistency of the creams are all as hard then this product won't crack the the big three.
I haven't tried their shave soap or balms but I did get their cologne in the mandarin patchouli scent and it's super nice don't get the patchouli like I had hoped but still nice. Would love to try the shave products though. As always great video keep up the great work!
Nice. Thanks Matt.
Thanks Matt... Gonna have to try some!
I have known this brand for quite some time, but I have never tried any of their products so far. I generally favor strong scents.
It's on the list to try eventually...
Edwin Jaggers shave cream are very subtle in the scent department.
I like Truefit and hill and TOBS
The St. James line is akin to the Md, and Castle Forbes mythos;; "simply wisp damp brush tips in the soap and cream and PooF! Lather for shaves and shaves!" It's so true of this product. I am a verified user of St. James. Trust me.
Wow, a great deal indeed. The Martin de Candre comes in a very similar jar, at it costs €60 if you buy it in Planete Rasoir in Paris. That's Euros, so, is like $65 to $70, depending on the exchange rate. And is even more expensive in other parts of Europe. I found it in Madrid for €78. Didn't buy it, BTW, won't spend that kind of money on a single jar of soap. I like diversity and I'm definitively going to give these a try.
Martin Shaves & Reviews
True, MdC are rather expensive soaps, even in their regular jars, although they contain more soap than most other brands. What makes them special is that they are also available in different designer glass and wood bowls. Of course this makes it expensive. And the quality is top notch.
@@Juraberg I agree, but they are priced very weirdly. Almost like forcing you to buy the whole 200ml jar. I asked if they carried a smaller jar, and they told me: "Yes, of course. We have a 50ml jar for €30"... What? So if I buy 4 jars, to make it the same product quantity as the 200ml jar, I'll have to spend €120? Almost double? It doesn't make any sense at all. That was in Paris. I was there in April. These Saint James of London are 150ml jars, BTW, so not so much less than MdC.
Thanks again Matt for making these videos. St. James always catches my eye while shopping for a new software to use, can't believe I haven't pulled the trigger on it. Packaging is an important part of the buying process for me, these products just look regal. The Sandalwood is calling to me. Enjoy!
Do you have sample packages?
Kinda interested. 👍🏼
Great
These BELONG IN A MUSEUM! 😊
But I like Bright Splashy In Your Face Scents!.....But that's okay. I won't hold it against you and will consider trying one of these shaving creams. ;-)
