King of the hill is one of the best tv shows I've ever seen. It doesn't feel like it has some underlying political narrative it's just wholesome family friendly humor.
I love King of the Hill, but "wholesome" and "family friendly" are not very accurate. It was deliberately pushing boundaries for network television animation, and was a forerunner of shows like Family Guy and Home Movies.
Judge went on to make a more wholesome, more deliberately political -- and liberal! -- show called The Goode Family.

I always forget about the general genius and smart comedically wholesome greatness of KotH. It really stands alone, separate from all the other primetime animated series (The Simpsons, Family Guy, Bobs Burgers, Futurama, South Park, ect.). only after rewatching the show after a few years of living. I'm reminded of what an awesome show it was. They ought to bring it back

One of the best sequences is Boomhaur talks "normal" during his flashback as to what caused the fire at the fire station while the others talk like he does in real life.
For all you non smokers out there; there's 20 cigarettes in 1 pack. So, if Dale smoked at a rate of two packs a day, he'd have to have smoked for almost 68 years to smoke that much, or 3 packs a day for 45 years.
A goal that most aspire to but rarely accomplish!

If JG Quintel worked on story boarding the KotH reboot, I feel together they could produce episodes that are self-contained stories and also have an overarching story to make the world feel more lived in
I truly miss this show! My German Shepherd is actually named Ladybird.
My favorite episode is “To Sirloin With Love”. The sight of Hank and Bobby grilling side by side got to me.
I love everything Mike Judge comes up with. Well, “Extract” wasn’t his best work, but at least it has Mila Kunis!

I still love King of the hill it's definitely a gem of a show. One key bit I love about it is that there is a message behind each episode, a lesson to be learned and you do see bits of character progression. My favorite was when Nancy decided to be faithful to Dale, and then the episode where Dale basically gets hit on by pretty much a female variation of himself how he's tried and true faithful to Nancy. It's SO SO SO Sweet! I was awwing so much in that moment when they cuddled after that ordeal

Another fun fact, season 5s pigmalion was banned for several years after the first airing. Apparently in the original, it portrayed the aftermath of Trip Larsons unfortunate demise. Showing things like blood being splattered over Peggy and Luanne. Not to mention Trips mangled corpse after it went through the slaughter house conveyer.
