|E97| Exploring Tortuguero National Park in Costa Rica

The Tortuguero National Park in Costa Rica is a plethora of different habitats and is home to a large variety of animals and plants. From the raw coastal beaches where turtles dig burrows for their eggs and great green macaws chatter in the trees, to the deep jungle which is home to the infamous jaguar.
We spent 4 days in Tortuguero, exploring the natural park and surroundings, both day and night. Inside the national park, we come across a kill site, where a jaguar most likely had a feast of a meal. We are also lucky to spot a banded anteater, searching for ants in a low-hanging tree.
All in all, it is wonderful to be back in Costa Rica and wonderful to be back on the travel path.

You have to do a night walk to see turtles in that area.
