- Today we are testing the recently facelifted KIA Stinger GT on an airfield. Yes, this is the facelifted 2020 / 2021 version which also features this alcantara interior. We also did a special for you as we compared 0-60 mph times with 0-100 km/h in order to show you the huge difference in numbers. But please watch yourself and tell me your thoughts! Got my 2018 GT AWD over a year ago for $29500 CPO with the warranty and 13k miles. Greatest car ever.
Facelift interior is much better than previous model, better than Arteon and A5 in same price.. especially with alcantara interior and 0 piano black policy

@@thomasferrarojr.9772 my dad owns an a4 and he hopped in my 2021 stinger gt and he was blown away. The new models has really stepped it up. Perhaps sit in an new model and see for yourself?
@@SlickNic Nicer interior than their older model, but I still like the interior of my S5 Sportback better. Full LCD dash and HUD, seat massager, etc. But all personal preference. They've come a long way though for sure.
@@raznarbe this was a 2018 s4 with digital dash and all the works. Minus the digital dash the stinger is very well equipped. Have you sat in the latest model with the newest interior?

Great video! Love the stinger.. Was this AWD or RWD? In Australia our updated models get the factory bi modal exhaust standard and massive rear pipes which really set the rear off..
Definitely RWD. AWD can't sustain a drift like that in the dry unless it's a gts with drift mode.....unless that function is now standard on gt awd trims..

I got 3.7 sec with Intakes, Exhaust, HKS plugs and JB4 as my best run . It’s AWD which helps. The JB4 was the best mod I’ve ever done, it’s really made a huge difference and it never goes in limp mode anymore :)

Interesting FACT !!! .. I've tested my car using Dragy as well
The acceleration numbers came in 4 forms
0-100 Kmh with roll-out OFF was 3.68s
0-100 Kmh with roll-out ON was 3.46s
0-60 Mph with roll-out OFF was 3.50s
0-60 Mph with roll-out ON was 3.32
All of them was from the exact same run
My car is Jaguar F type R RWD and the test was performed in a drag strip!
Yep, that sounds 100% like what we have observed. And if the car isn’t as fast as an F-Type R the differences get even bigger....half a second is very common between those settings👍

Just in case anyone is wondering, This is because 100kmh isn’t 60 mph. It’s closer to like 63.
@@Automann-TV What's so strange in that? 0-60 is not the same as 0-100. 0-63 is about the same, thus 0-60 will always make some differences in measurements.
My G90, 1 of only 2000 in the U. S., performs similarly. Ehy have you not tested a G90? 0-60 in 5 sec which is not bad for an almost 6,000 lb car

Like variable exhaust, leather stitching, bigger screen and brushed aluminum steering wheel bottom spoke. Don't like wheels or taillights. Still a better car, nice upgrades kia.

Such a underrated sedan, sadly no new ones coming in EU(NL) due to brands chosing hatchbacks and SUV's over sedans. Usa is last big country where people favor fast sedans over hatchbacks.

There’s an optional sports exhaust available.

The 100 - 200 Time seems to be slow , but 0 - 100 seems to be fast ? :(
That's very normal. Lambos have a 0-100 of like 3 seconds, but a 0-200 of like 9 - 10 seconds
That 100-200 is actually pretty good ! It's not a mclaren... total of apprx. 20 seconds to 200kph is in same range with bmw, audi s5 and other cars it competes with

Why does it have the old Kia logo all over it and not the new redesigned one (which looks a lot better)? And isn't it supposed to be the 2022 revised model, and not the 2021?
North America got the face lift one year late for 2022 model, that's why. The new logo is only on 2022 models.

Yall notice how the speedo suddenly slows the instant the car hit 100kph? As if power gets severely cut after 100kph
the scale on the speedometer changes after 100, so the needle moves less to cover larger differences in speed. Nothing to do with the power. Notice it goes up in increments of 20, and then when it hits 100, it goes up by 40s

For such a strong car, 100-200 time is quite slow. Anyway, shoutout to Kia for remaining analog gauges and great interior. Superb car.
Curious as to why they’re still making these in ICE and not EV’s?
I mean, they have already annouced the Kia EV6, which is essentially an EV Stinger. I like how they differentiate their EV line up from their ICE by name, unlike how Ford just slaps on Mustang to their EV.
I´m really don´t understand why Kia has not enough balls to bring this car with 400 HP ? it´s so easy with a 3.3 L V6 TT and also with the completely new 3.5 L V6 TT 375 HP WTF, Germans make easy over 500 HP with that kind of a engine.
Kia probably detuned for reliability. You could always tune it yourself.

Agree.. Unluckily for them as in Australia we get the factory bi modal exhaust system standard plus big quad pipe garnish in the rear diffuser which looks incredible! If you go to car advice (Aussie channel) here on RUclips Paul did a review on the first model with the bi modal exhaust and it sounds great.
It comes standard with a variable exhaust everywhere in the world except for EU and Russia.
