Another point here and I watch this a lot as over here in Norway is being sold lots of extremely powerful el-cars. That changes the driving habits of some people and many guys are now driving extremely aggressively.... when you have 1000+ horsepower at your fingertips and not the ability to control this.
IMHO: Traffic safety definitely suffer from this as there are people who believe they are F1 racing drivers but with nowhere near the skills, lightyears away ....
I so often see Tesla´s changing lanes to where I am and they expect me to just disappear, many people drive like complete idiots believing they are the king of the roads, everone else should give way.... Yes, Tesla owners are the worst, sorry Tesla owner guys

I’ve been using BYD for more than 3 years, so happy with it. I racked up over 150,000 km on it, never had any problems. It saved my three quarters the price of the car already for the petrol bill if I had to pay. The new model of BYD is even more efficient and much better technology for driving assistance and safety. My next new car will going to be Chinese EV car for sure.

Unfortunately, most cheap EVs will never be allowed on public roads of North America because of greed.
Domestic car companies can't make much profit on a $8000 car as they can on a $30,000 car, and they lobby to keep them out.
All of a sudden the governments are concerned with my safety in a crash? BS. That's not the role of a government.

The reason why a Chinese car is so cheap is because the worker at the assembly plant makes a tenth of what a USA auto worker gets. The USA worker pays taxes that gets spent in the USA, mostly.
The CCP has a large labor pool that they can exploit which can`t complain about their working conditions. If you feel happy about buying a car made by near slave labor I feel sorry for our country.

You must view videos of electric vehicle manufacturers in China; their manufacturing is mostly automated using robots, with minimal human labor involved!!! Don't you believe me? Simply search for and watch just a few of the many videos showing EV production at Chinese EV plants. China's ability to produce EVs at such a low cost is mostly due to robotic production.

Was tut unsere angeblich "grüne" Regierung? Man sorgt dafür , dass solche Fahrzeuge, in Deutschland, mindestens das vierfache Kosten und sorgt für unfassbar hohe Strompreise 😂

If a car company if essentially bankrupt and hasn't made a dime ever; even with heavy subsidies from the Chinese and Australian governments - can it be called cheap? If a junky cheap vehicle costs a dollar because Chinese and Australian taxpayers have paid for it via taxes - is that cheap or just a straight theft? Most of these companies won't exist by the end of 2024 - don't buy a Chinese Junk.
