I have nothing but Leupold on my rifles. Don’t know why I just looked up a “factory tour” on RUclips. I’ve been curious about the plant where they’re made a long time!! Amazing facility and company. Proud of made in USA products!!
I own stock in Leupold! I have been buying their scopes almost as long as you have been alive Randy🤔😳 I own and have owned hundreds of their scopes and the only new scope I will buy! I have hunted collected and reloaded for 60+ years and they are my go to scope!
@@colbykinney5633sorry but I have 7 kids and 4 of them hunt and That’s what I spend my retirement time doing, finding them rifles and scopes to hunt with! I have a soft spot for bolt action rifles and Leupold scopes!
All this tech and they can't make a scope that absolutely holds zero with minor drops or normal travel in vehicles. SWFA and NightForce do it at similar pricepoint to Leupold's various scopes. Loved the locking dials on my VX-5 but don't want to risk being off when an opportunity presents itself.
@@nmelkhunter1 350 isn't far enough to know a scope is off by a bit. If it's off an inch at 100, it's only off 3.5" at 350 and most folks can't shoot well enough to notice that. I bet if you went and shot each of your rifles that has a Leupold on it, it wouldn't hit exactly where you had it sighted in at. Now that relies on both the load and you as the shooter (not trying to offend because you could be a phenomenal shooter but I have no way of knowing) being able to shoot well enough to notice the shift. My rifle with me behind it shoots 1/2 MOA most of the time so I can easily see when my group shifts 1/2-1". I routinely shoot out to 1,000+ yards on steel and shifts in zero really show up out there.
@@nmelkhunter1 a scope either holds zero or it doesn't. You said they do and when I showed they don't, you proved the position the company is counting on that "close enough is good enough". I don't want close enough, I want something I can count on every time but I'm glad you're satisfied with your choice of scope and am not belittling you for that. Good luck to you this season!

@@maddawgnoll no problem with this shooter, I just expect more from my gear I guess and I don't know why that matters to you? It's a gear company, not a princess you don't have to defend their honor.
It's too bad they are in Oregon. They are paying taxes to a state that wants to abolish hunting. I bet there is some property right next to Weatherby in Sheridan, WY. Wyoming would love to have you.
Must be real hard to wake up and go do your job every day randy.....NOT!!! Your a smart man! Doing what you love. ❤ never work a day in your life if you do what u love. You sir are actually doing it.
That is a complete rumor. Must have been mixed up with some those other scopes that warranty failure rather than guarantee performance. 800+ US employees make those scopes in Beaverton Oregon.
love your product but you need to move into the world of toolless zero set on your turrets , some of the set screws used to reset your turrets are soooooo damn small they are almost invisible ..
Unfortunately not all there products are made in the USA last two spotters I’ve gotten right from them says on the box made in china rifle scopes alway say made in USA but then again had some good ones and some bad ones
I wonder if they ever fixed their canted reticle issues ….. I stoped buying them several years ago and cleared my collection of them do to failing adjusters and canted crosshairs in my $1000 plus scopes…. Now I gladly warn others of the junk they sell…. They were clear though🙄
Honestly? Leupold has dumped the bed. As a Leupold user for over 30 years the tough quality that they were so famous for is gone. They have stepped over a dollar to pick up a dime. Cheapened the product and compromised their quality. Vortex copied Leupold. Now Leupold is trying to copy Vortex.
In the last 20-30 years I feel all the top brands have failed in technology improvements and quality control. You look back and there were so many great shots coming from Leopold, Bushnell, nikon, Swarovski, etc. I know they've all changed and come out with new models with a lack of real quality improvements. But I think that's the whole industry right now. Ramp up quantity, drop in quality.
how does quality go down when now all parts and adjustments are made to a level of precision unthinkable before... today's designs are superior and cheaper to manufacture.@@maddawgnoll
Website and selection of reticles is horrible. I compared Leupold to Burris, Zeiss, Vortex and kept thinking why would anyone buy Leupold except for brand recognition and gold ring which is passe at this point

Leupold
My one and only choice for optics for 44 years

Do you have any children and if not I'm adoptable... 😂 just kidding I love my leupolds also.
Nice I admire you for that. I hope to own stocks some day soon myself.

Quality product and made in America....all I need to know!
Really impressive place. Optics are like vehicles... everyone has their own preference and all others are junk. Thanks for sharing.
Love my Leupolds
George Jetson? Killing me with the old school reference.
Very impressive facility. Leupold optics are standard on all my shooters
Randy, real kool tour did you happen to hear anything about their custom shop opening anytime soon ?
When is the Custom Shop coming back online? I have a VX-5 4x20x52. I'd like to have a few things done to it with the wildlife graphics, etc.
I have the same question. I wonder if this has been addressed somewhere? It seems to be closed indefinitely
Thanx

Would theoretically be great, but as we know that would take an exorbitant amount of money to be done.
Weatherby survived and is prospering. I like to think it would increase thier customer base.
We need companies like this in those states to help fight the crazy city people ideas back!!
Great point
That would be awesome if they would come to Wyoming. I live 100 miles away from Sheridan.
When is Leupold going to do a 3D print of young and old Randy? Or maybe Randy can do some NFTs of himself and the Biggest Hank!
