The ending was heartwarming. Destiny 1 was the game that got me out of that introverted shell that I lived in. I still sorta do live in that shell, but its cracked wide open. I've met so many people that created so many amazing memories together with me, far beyond just Destiny. I do not regret any moment I had playing over 4000 hours of Destiny 1 across the three years it was out. It had its ups and downs, but that game had a soul and so does the community. Cammy, I think that once you get a perk on a gun, it’s saved in your collections. Then once you get all the perks you want on across multiple gun drops, you can go in your collections and use enhancement cores to select the perks you want to create the god roll gun you’ve been grinding for. This keeps the grind for the gun while making it more realistic to achieve.
Those last couple of minutes were some of the best content you've ever made, man. It was the same for my gang, more about having fun with each other and generally just being hanging out. Some of the best people in my life were met through specifically seeking out 'chill&relaxed' raid groups over those trying their best, and it didn't even slow us down because it turns out when you're surrounded by cool people who all know each other and are all on the same page, no content in Destiny is ever gonna be too hard. When you were talking about bringing some limited rerolling back to the game, I thought about how Diablo 3 does this so well. Its pretty simple. You got to the vendor, select the stat you want and can reroll, when doing that it locks all the other stats, but that one that you want to reroll and there you go. you can reroll that stat indefinitly while the rest is set in stone. That would be perfect for Destiny as well. Simple yet effective which would please both parts of the community. A second thing Bungie could do is make every weapon perk that there is ( except the unique ones ofcourse) a mod. I like mods, but I rarely see myself absolutly needing to slap one in on my guns. Not even PvE do I currently feel like I absolutly needed the major spec. But what if you could have all the perks that the game has to offer as a mod? From something as simple as armor piercing rounds to rampage? Would it be pretty damn strong in pve and pvp? Yeah sure. But it would open up more options for players to create their own personal weapon? Absolutly! That way could break the crucible, but it could also open up more opportunities for players to discover new tricks and mix up the meta. After seeing how a Warlock can wear a chestpiece that gives every kinetic the dragonfly perk, it opened up pandoras box for potential.

All my Destiny 1 friends went their separate ways after D2's launch. I've been playing alone since launch. Haven't ever done a raid with anyone, but I have tried soloing them. Just got my Luna's howl yesterday morning, I didn't have anyone to play comp with but it only took me about 12 hours to complete all the steps. You should be able to unlock re-roll tokens from completing nightfall's and raid bosses. This would allow you to use a token earned from a challenging activity say a nightfall where you score above 100k, take it to the gunsmith and change a perk using this. This would add a skill gap to rolls as well.

I still have some of my old raid friends form D1 and we still have great times on D2. theirs something about just messing around in the destiny games that makes my day feel great.
Checked my old D1 profile and I have this gun with rifled barrel, snapshot and hidden hand. I remember it being fun but never held a candle to my luna or other guns in that archetype but I remember it being one of the best in its current type. This video gave me some nostalgia especially at the end since I haven't played D1 in a while and haven't gotten into D2 yet.
Look at division's system. They let you reroll 1perk and the armor can let people play differently not just shoot the head. Destiny have fun gameplay but bad system OH and I live in Asia and speaks English... Not a lot of friends to be made
I think that fact that Destiny /forces/ players to aim for the head in PvP is what makes it so fun for me. You get so many games out there where you just take a fully-auto AR and spray people down. That's no fun and it takes relatively little skill. In Destiny, outside of shotguns (which, ideally, should have pretty severe limitations), you /have/ to hit your crits. If you don't, your TTK tanks and you will lose all of your gunfights (if the enemy hits his crits).
@@TariqGhani I think it could be further improved if they -- at least on PC -- reduced the amount of bullet magnetism even more. There are times where I should not be getting the headshots I get in a 1v1 and that sorta detracts from the whole skill-based FPS feel. Maybe in D3.
Reminds me of when I decided to figure out the odds of one of the merchants in Destiny 1 carrying a specific roll of a specific gun and found that if I was lucky, they might have that roll once a year.
I've always wanted a perk customization system like the one you explain. In my mind it would be something like this: 1. You get a weapon with the perk you want. 2. In exchange for a ton of materials you can "extract" the perk, it becomes a module to be used later in whatever gun you want. 3. You get an "almost God roll" that's missing just that one perk you extracted maybe weeks before. In exchange for another ton of materials, you can insert that perk and get your coveted God roll.
we went from discussing a potential god weapon in destiny 1 then to destiny 2 beta then to possible solutions to RNG fucking you over to the power of friendship i love you cammy
I have had this idea for weapon perks since d1, the idea is that it will still require some rng but be more grind focused to acquire nice rolls. My idea is that you have a node system. Every weapon drops with every single perk it can roll with in each column, but only a random selection of perks will be selectable on the initial gun. To unlock other perks, you have to get a node to drop, for instance a kill clip node for a go figure. To get these nodes you will just have to play with the gun and get lucky, Similair to a catalyst drop. So theoretically if you got every single node, you could select whatever perks you want, almost like when you are looking at a weapon on destiny database and you can pick and choose your perks, and switch between different builds of the weapon. However applying nodes would be quite costly, maybe 10 or so cores a pop. I don’t know if that made any sense but I think that would be pretty interesting.
Or maybe, you could get these "nodes" from dismantling guns with that perk. For example I have a go figure with outlaw and a go figure with rampage. What if I could dismantle these go figures to unlock the perks in my collections, and then recreate it with those perks? Or, it could be like if you collect all of the perks on a specific gun and then you can craft infinite custom rolls for it? Crafting in Destiny bungo pls.
I had an idea a long time ago, similar to the reforging idea that you had. It went a bit like this, you have 2 of the same exact guns, let's say Eyasluna. One has the perk Outlaw and the rest are trash. The other is the one you've been using, it has Reactive Reload, Rifled Barrel and some trash perk, let's say Partial Refund. You go to your boy gunsmith and dismantle said one with Outlaw to override the Partial Refund perk. This costs a significant amount of resources, including the same gun, but not a ridiculous amount. However, should you want to do it again it would be 10 times the amount of the original price, so you'd need 10 more of the same gun, and the next would be 100. That way you could piece together the perks you want, at a price only the dedicated could pay. If you haven't gotten the perfect roll after 100 tries, I think you should be able to at least create the gun through force of will at that point.
The whole 'time with friends' element of both D1 and D2 are things that have really kept me playing. Back in 2016, my mother died. Dealing with that was an incredibly difficult time, since I'm the one that had to manage the entire process. What little time I had to escape from it was spent in Destiny, running around with my two closest friends from college. It was a place where we could talk about serious crap, or just kill space monsters and try to not screw up getting a Black Spindle (which we always screwed up). Games are rarely perfect, and Bungie has a habit of getting everything right, but then injecting some stupid mechanic that annoys people, but at the end of the day, Destiny and Destiny 2 are much more than just games. There is enough that works, that keeps me playing. I haven't loved a game this much since Hellgate: London. Great video.
For your system. Once per weekly reset, you get a mark from the banshee of a special reward. The completion for it is completing a heroic version of a randomly chosen adventure. However, it must be done with a certain requirement completed, and it must be solo. The requirement could be "don't die", "never use heavy ammo", "never use super," or something like that. If you complete the quest, return to banshee. He will prompt you to pick one of your equipped weapons that is fully masterworked. You may pick one perk, or the masterwork, and replace that perk with any perk that weapon could potentially roll. The weapon then loses all masterwork progress. You may chose a weapon as many times as you want, but it has to be fully masterworked everytime.
i had this exact roll on my stolen pride and really enjoyed using it in QP to just mess around. I told so many of my friends that the gun felt weird but really fun to mess around with. Luna and TLW were just my babies though, i couldn't let them go.
I met many friends in Destiny 1 and it was an amazing experience back then. Still kinda is just missing that magic. And one of them is one of my best friends to this day.
The ending of the video is the main reason i have the friends i have today since vanilla d1, i met them when i was in patrol we decided to talk wifh eachother then became great friends and then we were doing make shift sparrow racing in the cosmodrome since it never existed.
There's a new monarchy handcannon from year 1 that had highest stats across the board in game and really close in aim assistance to best, with one downside...7 bullets. I rolled that thing to get luck in the chamber, final round, and that one that reduced mag size for better stats. So this thing had amazing range stability in a 6 round mag that had 2 bullets that allowed for 2 shot kills. Can't remember the name
the friendgame was by far the best thing in destiny and it still is I love my friends that I play with and when I was going through a hard time with my dad they were the ones who I would talk to while doing a kings fall.
I wish that being subbed and clicking the bell would be enough to notify me of your videos. Even though I’m slightly late, wonderful video, nice surprise to see D1 and I totally enjoyed the breakdown. Great stuff as always. One day when I’m old enough I’ll buy you a drink or a few. Side note: I don’t always comment but I have been here for a year or two. Your videos always are insightful and help me learn and make a meme a better player. Thank you for everything you’ve done for the community! Goodnight 🤙🏻
For me...it was the rng Gaharis D hand cannon from the gunsmith with reinforced barrel, crowd control, and final round. I didn't get it until months after destiny 2 came out.
The friend game is such a huge aspect to fun in these games. I got my buddy to recently get D2 and content that I was totally bored of all of the sudden was fun to play again just because I was able to enjoy it with one of my best friends. Helping him to progress and get better rolls on guns has been super fun for me. It makes me sad that the majority of my main friend group has moved on from Destiny and it's upsetting that Bungie has dropped the ball so hard. This game could have been so great. I really hope that D3 takes all of the best aspects of D1, heroic strikes, age of triumph, etc, and the best aspects of D2 to make a truly amazing game with longevity and fun for years. Unfortunately, with their new IP on the horizon, I just don't see it happening.
I fully agree with you, 40 legendary shards to reroll the magazine perk or some shit would make me happy af rerolling old how weapons is still possible so if ur still on d1 deadass get the her mercy hand cannon it will only drop from the end screen of poe the old school low level version. I played it about 300,000 times before I got it but it was worth it. it can be rerolled at the gun smith to have final round and luck in the chamber as well as a lower mag size

After that, it was Halo time. H1,H2,H3 were how disputes were settled in my town.
RuneScape was the next fascination. Made multiple accounts. Built unique and difficult accounts for PvP reasons.
Then I started highschool. Stopped playing games. Spent all my spare time with studying, sports, and flirting.
College time. I wanted to play sports. Got injured. Ohlookanewgamecalleddestiny.mp4
Made youtube content for fun.
Battlefield 4.
Destiny 1.
Destiny 2.
maybe... smash ultimate next?

This video was so good. It’s like your old videos. Great stuff!
I have the exact role that you speak of and a lot of people didn't get why I loved that gun. Rifled barrel, explosive rounds and range finder in my stolen pride.
THANK YOU, Finally someone says it!!
I miss D1.
It's still here
I agree with you man on the friends thing for sure man. I hate that most of my team is gone. Been a lonely road, and I am trying to get into newer communities and try and see where a new path my open. Loved the video man for the deeper points as well in the video man. It gives me a bit of hope that maybe I will run into another group of awesome people. Keep up the good work and what you do man!
Cammy, absolutely love you! Been here since 20k subs. You make me laugh, but the way you explain "Why" weapons are good or bad, and how to use them at there maximum potential are amazing. You can be a noob or veteran & always learn something from your videos. 200k coming soon. Thank you for what you do
This destiny one gun play is hands down easily better than destiny 2 gun play now
But why though?
“D-dont unsubscribe” cammy this is what makes you so great
I still have some of my old raid friends form D1 and we still have great times on D2. theirs something about just messing around in the destiny games that makes my day feel great.
This hand cannon is irrelevant when the last word and blink exists
In D1 year 3, both TLW and Blink were irrelevant. Apologies if I missed the sarcasm... 🤣

Sir seriously good video loved the whole concept as well as the info provided keep it up
Last comment but not actually last comment
Edit:why so many “first” comments😂😂
Look at division's system. They let you reroll 1perk and the armor can let people play differently not just shoot the head. Destiny have fun gameplay but bad system
OH and I live in Asia and speaks English...
@@T8-TR Agreed, the reason I like destiny is because you can actually tell a skilled player apart from an ape or a noob
@@TariqGhani I think it could be further improved if they -- at least on PC -- reduced the amount of bullet magnetism even more. There are times where I should not be getting the headshots I get in a 1v1 and that sorta detracts from the whole skill-based FPS feel. Maybe in D3.
Sorry but I'd rather get quick kills from crits than having to land a few hundred body shots to kill someone.
@@T8-TR maybe, I play on ps4 so I cant comment about factors on PC but I do know that there is almost no recoil on every gun which helps a lot
The amount of reminiscence is painfully good.
Reminds me of when I decided to figure out the odds of one of the merchants in Destiny 1 carrying a specific roll of a specific gun and found that if I was lucky, they might have that roll once a year.
I've always wanted a perk customization system like the one you explain. In my mind it would be something like this:
1. You get a weapon with the perk you want.
2. In exchange for a ton of materials you can "extract" the perk, it becomes a module to be used later in whatever gun you want.
3. You get an "almost God roll" that's missing just that one perk you extracted maybe weeks before. In exchange for another ton of materials, you can insert that perk and get your coveted God roll.
we went from discussing a potential god weapon in destiny 1 then to destiny 2 beta then to possible solutions to RNG fucking you over to the power of friendship
i love you cammy
The guardian can withstand several shots to the head but has to rest a revolver on their shoulder
Very nice how you finished on a sentimental note.
I missed you man. I've been on a long youtube/destiny break. Feels good to come back and see my favorite youtuber 😁

Cammy 2018
Rip your mother sorry to hear that
That ghost busters parody was amazing. More musical numbers!
EVERY SINGLE TIME when I hear the OSRS theme instrumentals:
*Feels like a kid again, wanting to play OSRS again*
*Logs in, logs out*
*Cycle continues*
I'll have to look in my vault now , I had one of these that I used all the time till moments of triumph had elemental primaries again.
A true “weapon forge” where you could choose a perk or two (for an EXPENSIVE price) would make Destiny 3 INSANE!!! I would honestly love it!
i had this exact roll on my stolen pride and really enjoyed using it in QP to just mess around. I told so many of my friends that the gun felt weird but really fun to mess around with. Luna and TLW were just my babies though, i couldn't let them go.
That moment when cammy finds four favorite handcannon

Holy shit, that old D2 beta clip
Fuck man this was a throwback, that shit was too good for RUclips, love you cammy
I met many friends in Destiny 1 and it was an amazing experience back then. Still kinda is just missing that magic. And one of them is one of my best friends to this day.
I legit screamed at the zavala copy Pasta. Well played
Wow this feels like your old content and I love it especially all the crappy puns

Such a good video Cammy!
i found this on recommended and when he said “don’t unsubscribe” i subscribed.
The ending of the video is the main reason i have the friends i have today since vanilla d1, i met them when i was in patrol we decided to talk wifh eachother then became great friends and then we were doing make shift sparrow racing in the cosmodrome since it never existed.
I didn't come here to have my heart warmed, Cammy. Darn it all.
Can't remember the name
the friendgame was by far the best thing in destiny and it still is I love my friends that I play with and when I was going through a hard time with my dad they were the ones who I would talk to while doing a kings fall.
thank you for the trip down memory lane
I wish that being subbed and clicking the bell would be enough to notify me of your videos.
Even though I’m slightly late, wonderful video, nice surprise to see D1 and I totally enjoyed the breakdown. Great stuff as always. One day when I’m old enough I’ll buy you a drink or a few.
Side note: I don’t always comment but I have been here for a year or two. Your videos always are insightful and help me learn and make a meme a better player. Thank you for everything you’ve done for the community! Goodnight 🤙🏻

Gymnopedie No. 2! I always love those few opening notes.
For me...it was the rng Gaharis D hand cannon from the gunsmith with reinforced barrel, crowd control, and final round. I didn't get it until months after destiny 2 came out.
I finally come to answer that rng question cammy. The answer is the mengarine!
Nice video Cammy, thanks I really enjoyed it.
Aww yeah, an old school Destiny 1 video from cammy!
Ah man, this reminds me
