The sturm is still obtainable, an exotic engram has to physically drop on the ground rather than from other questlines
He meant the queststep to decipher 1 exotic engram(in order to get sturm through the quest) , not to get sturm drop directly

I have run into a few level 20 not forgotten's in Crucible I never look at names so I have no clue if it was one of cammy's crew or not. Still big love.

Keep in mind the time and effort people put into gitting gud. If you haven't put that same amount in, nothing to feel bad about.

I mean, level doesn't matter much. Equipment matters more obviously but an amazing player with mediocre gear is still going to beat most people.

Currently on the LAST step of the quest. Not only am I only a level 30, but I'm also doing it solo. I'm barely at 689, but I feel like I can get higher just because I was focusing on the quest more than winning. All the steps were pretty long for me, but I stuck through. Now, I just need some luck and I'll be able to get it!

Cammy! I have news for you! You can get Sturm on new accounts. You need to buy the exotic engrams from Xur and itll count for the decrypting an exotic part of the quest. It's a very expensive method, but that how I did it on console when I neglected to get Sturm during Vanilla D2. Hope that helps! Good video!

I've tryed this, It didn't count for me at least. Got celestial nighthawk on ps4, but the quest it's still there.
I am a new pc player and I got the sturm. You have to have a exotic drop while in the world and pick it up and it will count.
I got D2 for free with ps+

It'll be available next season too, the quest doesn't go away. It'll just reset your Glory to 0.

tis is suc a great idea on so many levels, and I can really appreciate the thought and effort put into it. For me personally, it will be really useful to elp solidify the fundamentals of the game without focousing on op weapons ect

Sturm quest isnt bugged. Fated engram works or just do any y1 raids like Leviathan that has a high chance to get an exotic engram from a chest.
I recently did the sturm quest myself as NF sweating got old and it LITERALLY has to be an exotic engram. Not a reward from a milestone, etc.
EDIT: fated engram might NOT work
I recently did it aswell! You just have to do the leviathan raid and pray for an exotic engram.. those engrams work.
Exotic engrams like the otherside sparrow from a strike chest also work.
Not sure if the fated engram can complete the quest because i get it for 2 times and it still not register :/

A week ago I was trying the same thing.
I keep watching destiny videos, even without a current console or a decent PC to be able to play this game. A week ago i was on my friends house, who ows a ps4 and got Destiny 2 a few months ago with PS Plus. He knows that i love this game and just says "play it", and well, I spent two days on his house haha.
After some time, I was trying some matches on competitive, and knowing the map design and what the meta was, I was able to play decently on that time.
Look, I'm definetly not a god, I'm just good enough to not be carried, but bad enough to not be able to carry someone. But I felt that was fun, and if I try, i would get the Luna's Howl eventually. With the time that I spent playing, I reach 710 on glory rank, wich I know it's not much, but I'm glad that I was able to get that amount on the time I've spent.
I was using some sniper (the orange one on the beginning of the video), sunshot (from the campaign), some sword (to see in third person), and young ahamkara's spine as exotic armor. The curious thing it's, most people don't expect to get sniped on the head haha, everyone it's just worried about rushing shotguners.
The main thing is: I've learned A LOT with your videos, even if I'm not playing this game and that was the factor responsible for the amount of games that I won. So keep the amazing work going haha.
Ps.: It's super fun when you go to iron banner, and your sniper gives 103 to the head, or takes 2 or 3 shots of gunslinger to kill someone. By the end of the match, I was just running away from everyone, and killed 2 guys on the whole match using celestial nighthawk haha. It was fun anyways.

One word, THANK you for that. The other day me and a couple friends installed the game and then I found out they had bought the dlcs too. As soon as I realized that this is a p2w game I refused to do the same. Right now I'm struggling heavily on my way to completing these two purple crucible quests, I guess one is for LH and the other for NF ? I find it extremely difficult climbing solo the Glory ranks as I'm hovering just above 900 and now the quest asks to reach Legend ? Yeah... Ok.... This video eased my pain a little bit, thanks.
PS. I got the Sturm quest as well, I just always thought you had to complete the legendary engrams first in order to actually fullfil the exotic one after !
I got to 1800 then dropped to 1400... now I just gave up

I got mine from savathun's song. Any exotic engram that lands on the floor is fair game. These have a tiny chance of dropping from strikes and killing enemies.

You can actually still get Sturm I got it on my Titan for the first time very recently (during season of opulence) you just need a exotic engram to drop on the ground at least that's what triggered it for me

You have no idea how close to home this hits. Finished the comp grind on my main account and now that PC accounts being free I decided to create another alt, just like I did in the glory days of RuneScape where I had a maxed out main, and created a tank for PVP for shit'n giggles. Created a sentinel, went straight into QP to see how it was for other people to get matched against level 600's with god tier gear. And apparently you can hang pretty well. A green 150 HC, 1 Blue shotgun, and heavy later it had the same competitive gear as others. Decided to go for gunshot as I had gotten a Lincoln green PR that pairs really well with energy botheration.

The sturm quest is not bugged, you just have to buy an exotic engram from Xur to complete the step.

You can complete the Sturm quest by finding a exotic catalyst on the ground. It worked for me. Some you can find would be tractor cannon, Darci, Wardcliff etc. The Catalysts from Prestige raids may work as well but I have no confirmation.
You guys never seem to stop amazing me, really commited to improve as players and still being global top players
