  • In this video, Dr. Vaughn describes the diagnosis of sinusitis, the workup of sinusitis, and the various treatments for sinusitis.
PROPEL Sinus Implants maintain patency and locally deliver steroid to the sinus tissue after sinus surgery. Patients with Chronic Rhinosinusitis may benefit from postoperative care that reduces inflammation, in order to achieve improved sinus surgery outcomes. CRS is an inflammatory disease with often chronic and debilitating sinonasal symptoms such as: congestions, nasal discharge, facial pain or pressure, and loss of smell. Overall, postoperative inflammation related to surgery and the underlying disease is hard to predict and can hinder the benefits of surgery. Safe and effective postoperative care options are needed that effectively deliver corticosteroids to the sinus and minimize reliance on patient compliance.

My ENT Specialist checked my sinus cavities about a month ago using a Nasal Endoscopy. At that visit, my ENT Specialist told me that there was no sign of Sinus Disease but that my nasal passages were inflamed. She had me use both Fluticasone & Azelastine Nasal Spray twice a day. Well about two weeks ago, I went & used my Nasal Spray & my nose started bleeding. So I stopped. Well, I went & had a CT Sinus done & now I have Sinus Disease. My question is, is it possible that using both steroidal nasal sprays cause the Sinus Disease or made my inflammation way worse?

7 years for me. thankfully i can breathe totally fine. but the suffering is out of this world. Ever had Tinea? what about swollen tinea that sheds skin that tries to hold on for dear life causing pain as it tears out and down? then put that all in your skull and feel that get really bad about one or twice a day, and just really annoyingly bad for the other 24hrs. Welcome to Chronic Sinusitis.
    ENT: Don't worry about it!
