Have a metal roof that lets the snow/ice slide off and wreck havoc on the gutters. I need to lower the gutters so the snow slides over the top of the gutter without damaging it. I looked at the metal threaded rods that would lower the gutters but they are $15 each. The fascia is small and not vertical. Am I doomed to using the threaded rods?
Great vid man! So I could use a vid on hanging gutters in winter. specially black. I have had a few call backs saying that the gutter has come off the facia. when I go out to take a look I notice that the the heads of the screws have snapped off. Is this because of expansion and contraction?
we try our best to limit length of installed gutters on the colder days to 30'. Black is the worst because it heats up more when the sun hits it. Also, get some better screws, they shouldnt snap.
If you have a drip edge, should the hanging "clip" has nothin to hang on - should it just be tucked behind the drip edge? Thanks.
I installed apron, and now wonder why when all hanging systems either drill through it or push it up.
