I'm dubious that 1/4" drop over 40 ft accomplishes anything. Every gutter I've seen has accumulated enough grit from the asphalt shingles and leaves and sticks that gutters aren't going to drain cleanly. You aren't even installing guards to keep leaves out of the gutters. Even if you leave an 1/8 of inch of water in the bottom of the gutter, the amount of water in the bottom is insignificant, from a weight point of view or from a water collection point of view.

I’m not a fan of the screws on the bottom. If you get the screws on the face, and the screws in the back, there’s no need for screws on the bottom. After 5 years or so, they will leak.

I see that all the time where gutter installers will install the new gutters right on top of the drip edge, basically making the drip edge useless.

THIS IS INCORRECT DRIP EDGE SHOULD BE WHERE YOU CAN TUCK YOUR FINGER BEHIND SO YOU CAN INSTALL BACK OF YOUR GUTTER UPTIGHT TO DRIP EDGE THAT MIGHT WRK FOR A TEMPORARY FIX

dropped an extended ladder like that on the bosses just finished custom 33 degree gutter connection laying fresh on the ground, after trying to relocate it 20 feet over. lol that guy was jerk anyway.

Once vertical stand behind with one foot on the bottom rung and same knee against the third rung,. Now use both hands to rais the ladder. Same for distension. Ladders are just leverage balance and wit. I taught girls to do it.

Only one downspout on a 40 foot run? Metal roof, besides? it will definitely flow over the front of the gutter in a heavy rain. Also, if you put 2 downspouts on, like it has to have to not flood, Alcoa aluminum recommends hanging the gutter level, making a nicer line on a level fascia board, and the gutter is flowing both ways, equally. Alcoa says a quarter inch of leftover water in the gutter is absolutely OK.

Great! All the major points to fix those frequent endcap leaks! I sometimes use a plug in heat gun, but it's a hassle. Do you think customers would get a bit nervous seeing me with a torch up there? That's been my hesitation.
