1:06:50 "They stole my Enduring Curiosity, that was my last glimmer of hope" unintentional amazing pun, since curiosity is literally a glimmer creature
I'd love to see the odd standard best of 3 video. Rare to see someone with your combo of skill and ability to instruct. I don't think it would do amazing, but selfishly i think it would really up my game.
I’m really enjoying these arena cube drafts. I don’t have much success in it, but I hope to improve on it as I learn from your videos, like how I improved in Duskmourn. I know others want different content since arena cube is not for everybody, but I’m really enjoying the different decks I face in cube. Hope you continue to draft cube while it lasts.
Yeah I'll definitely try to get a few videos in but might go back to duskmourn before Foundations comes out and try to draft some of the "lesser" archetypes.
It obviously doesn’t matter, but at 1:25:20 when you say you don’t quite have lethal, you can put Lutri into hand and discard 4 cards. Edit: Or Cryptic Coat as well.
sweet deck just finished drafting portion, 2 thoughts: 1. good lord ppl psychic frog is the best card in the cube ahah both drafts its been so late 2. I think hall of storm giants is rly nice in this cube, solid finisher wouldve taken it over another 3 myself
I agree that Frog is good, but I've seen a lot of people call it the best card in the cube and I think that's a pretty big overstatement. The amount of 1 and 2 mana removal in this format is essentially infinite. I know that "dies to removal" is kind of a meme critique, but in the modern era of busted creatures that guarantee value as soon as they resolve, I think its a valid argument, given how prevalent cheap removal is in every color. I'm open to being wrong, but I do play a tonnnn of Arena Cube and my anecdotal experience is that I just never see Psychic Frog pop off on my side or theirs. Either because of removal or they just... play a 3/3.
I just had a 7-0 run with a monoblue deck and it was the most fun I've had in magic in years. Timewarp into Snapcaster Mage on Timewarp with Enduring Curiosity and some fliers in play? Yes please, I would like to deal 15 damage draw 8 cards and take 3 turns. Don't mind if I do!
Sometimes, the "Nice" is a troll nice. But other times, "Nice!" means "I was already on tilt, and now you played one card that I can't immediately deal with, and I'm mad about it" XD
Some interesting choices were presented to you in pack 1. I honestly don’t know what I’d choose between early Atraxa or early Agent of Raffine, and then follow that up with Aven or Sublime Epiphany. It’s really hard for me to pass Epiphany but Aven is definitely one of the cards that might make me do it.
Luis advocating to draft blue? No way couldn't be. *insert sarcasm emoji here* But no really Blue is ALWAYS the way to go in most iterations of Arena Cube, far away the most powerful color. That being said I've had tremendous success with mono black too and it's fun to draft when it's open.
Make simple drafting guides and RUclips shorts of your exciting or interesting plays. A clip of the last video where you said something along the lines of "As long as they don't have a counterspell" and then your opponent had exactly counterspell would make good RUclips short content. Diversify your content so your views don't plateau. "Top Cards in Duskmourn Explained" Where you go over the best performing cards and what made them so good. "What I learned from drafting Duskmourn" "Best and Worst Duskmorn mechanics" "Why this archetype failed in Duskmourn Draft" and go over why g/w was bad and what they could have changed. "My top performing cards in Duskmourn" where you go over your 17lands data and compare it to the other 17 land users. You could then essentially make another one of those types of video for every set and then you have 5+ videos for people to look forward to at the end of the set when we're all burned out of drafting. I know I always look forward to watching the Limited Resources sunset show where they essentially go over all of those topics. Especially seeing the cards they thought were going to be good but ended up bad and vice versa.

That pack 3 psychic frog wheel really shows you the average level of a cube drafter when the ladder rankings dont affect who you queue with
100% agreed
leaf leap guide wheeling as well card is busted
Do the ladder rankings ever affect who you queue with?
@@STIUTK no
Only if it's ranked, like the last omniscience draft ... @@STIUTK

Noted!
Since we’re asking, Paul can you hold my hand through literally every draft? I could use the support.
Ah, you learned quickly about the Lutri bracket.
49:49 should be a sound board button Jim Davis style. Play it anytime somebody casts a free spell on you LOL
Uaaaaooohhhh there’s a free spell ..
alright lol
Enduring curiosity is an absolute house. Ive lost to it a few times this cube. And in DSK :P
So far Teferi has been a menace in every draft I’ve had him in, so yeah, I agree, blue is probably one of the best colors
The “new” vintage cube on mtgo is kind of a throwback version, a lot less of the new broken cards. Could be fun!

A psychic frog last pick pack 3 is criminal
50:39 World Championship card vs World Championship card.
It obviously doesn’t matter, but at 1:25:20 when you say you don’t quite have lethal, you can put Lutri into hand and discard 4 cards.

Love cube, my favorite is Izzet
-Enduring Curiosity stolen
-'Last glimmer of hope'
I see you Paul
Great vid as always, Paul. I love your limited vids. Sidenote: 35:00 If they attack with restless reef, you just lose, or am I missing sth? Thanks!
Kenji were certainly not in your draft table!
I’d love to see you play some of the standard BO3 decks from Worlds and discuss them as you play them. Particularly the top 8 monored.
Mocking Bird is INSANELY busted with ajani, but pest infestation is busted with 1 green mana and 4 other mana

I agree hall was basically free, good in this deck

special guest cameos on your stream would be nice on arena cube
I would love more duskmourne drafts😊
I would not have been able to pass Time Warp with a Lutri in my pile.
I just had a 7-0 run with a monoblue deck and it was the most fun I've had in magic in years.

Oh my God we got SNAPCASTER? 👌🏼

Yeah I though reanimator would be more support but it's not.
Love the cubes!
P3P15 psychic frog?!?
yeah I would have never gotten that lucky
Incubation tokens can attack if they were in play the turn prior

You can win with basically anything in arena cube I think. Tons of inexperienced drafters
NAAA i cant remember all this card :D to much powerful card to much combination to learn i pass

Why hate fear of impostors? It seems like the cube fits that one and the unwanted remake way better that DSK
Cube is the best ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
psychic frog last pick what the heck
if spell snare hit 1 drops too it would be good
Do vintage cube team drafts!!!
I read the title, I'm five picks in, I'm real confused
?
@@haumph The title says monoblue, but the first five picks are green or white!
My trophy rate with green is 80% (8/10). It's just boring.
My trophy rate is 100%. It's really fun
Yeah, blue is certainly more fun. Although your other deck was RW aggro.
Please NOT STANDARD!!! Any draft or sealed format is great 😊
haha fair!
Blue is very good but orzhov tokens is busted
everything is busted!
vintage cube
First!!!!!
unfortunately i just cannot stand this "perpetual" and "conjure" bs
