The only thing that was critically bad about the 1982 line was a complete lack of vehicles for Cobra. All kids could do is have the Joes do non-stop raids on Cobra's cardboard playset. It even effected both the comic books and the first two cartoons where all producers could do is make up a bunch of random vehicles. What comes to mind is the Cobra plane that would evolve into the Rattler that was shown as a plane so Cobra could fly in the first cartoon.

So pleased you have gone back to 82. As someone who has come in late and never had, nor seen on in the flesh, I look forward to the day where I can get some of these classic figures and tank and honour the start of this wonderful line!

My Hooded Cobra Commander doesn't have any of the gold stuff, he's plain blue. And feels very skinny in comparison to the rest of the figures.
I didnt know Zap was rare, I think I have 2 stuffed away in a chest somewhere. Can't remember if he's the 82 or 83 version.
