    Congratulations! My favorite projectors are the Pageant and the Singer Instaload.

    The AV12E6 was Kodak's Economy Version of their AV-126TR 16mm Pageant Projectors. It had a 12watt Amplifier like the 126 but didn't have Reverse operation(Forward Only) It also didn't have a Sound Fidelity lever located on the cover below the sound drum which could optimize your sound quality from the Film's optic track. This model also did not have Kodak's Super 40 Shutter which could have 2 or 3 blade positioning for silent/sound operation to control flicker. As far as the Film Transport System, it is identical to the 126,256 and 250 model projectors. Despite only being a 2 sprocket system film transport, they always seem to have a very steady image on screen. This model Projector was usually purchased by Churches or Small Companies,groups,etc. That didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on a 16mm Sound Film Projector. They are still a well built and reliable Unit.....

      Thanks Steve for the details on this model. I was wondering if it had the the Super 40 Shutter. Too bad... That's such a nice feature.

    Excellent projectors, very gentle on the film, but tough to repair DIY.

    I have a Kodak Pageant AV-126-TR which is a much better projector than a Bell & Howell Filmosound, Singer Instaload 16, and Revere S16, but Kodak beats them all. Needs a exciter lamp for this to get the sound going.

    Superb find! I like the Kodak better than B&H Film o sound. You can find some fun film on eBay for around 10$. Enjoy, Don

    I have a couple of the FilmoSound units. Both have the dreaded worm gear problem. Think I'll just part them out and stick with the Kodak.

    These things were built to last forever and probably will!
    They were meant for institutional use, so they are simple to use and built like tanks.

    I have an Elmo 16CL, a B&H 540 manual load, and an Eiki SSL
    The Elmo is the quietest and most modern but the B&H has the best picture;
    the Eiki is the loudest and clackiest, and the B&H has a really steady picture and booming sound--does the Kodak clack a lot? I'm sure the video camera exaggerates every close sound

      Hi ppeterso22, I've had multiple versions of almost all of the projectors including an Eiki 6100 Xenon that I used for "Drive In Movies" on my property (set up in a garage and projected out the window). I love the Eiki EX3500, I owned a pair. The Bell and Howell's were built like tanks! I just don't like them though. They are not very forgiving of less than perfect film. When new this probably wasn't a problem. But for us film collectors it can be. WE don't have the luxury of perfect film. Overall I've found the Eiki and the Kodak Pageant to be my favorite projectos. The Kodak being very film friendly. If you can find a 250s with the newer bulb you have a great projector.

      seeburgm100a Thanks (from a year ago! Lol). Found a 250S! Plan to pick it up tomorrow. I had to clean and regrease the Eiki. All the noise was the front arm clutch and the fan blade rubbing -it is quiet now. Elmo gear broke to lower sprocket-had to order overseas (love my 20mm f1/2 lens on the Elmo). Look forward to the Kodak!

      seeburgm100a Love my Kodak Pageant 250S with the halogen bulb! I like it better than all my other projectors-The brightness and handling of the film is unbelievable! Unfortunately I can’t find a 1” lens for it as my screen is huge and the I cant project any more than 19ft from it due to pesky walls...lol
