I know this video is old but why do they charge so much? I just got a g35 so I’m just now figuring it out but for a bolt on car there should be standard maps that they already have only so many different variables once they recoup their initial timing time per variable which more likely than not they already got paid to physically tine someone else’s car And they save the maps. If anyone does see this and knows please reply. Also I’m kind of confused about his terminology about the cable needing a license. I believe the license is per software installation and ecu not the cable. You should be able to pass the cable around to anyone and they can get a license for their laptop and ecu. At least that’s my understanding as a software and hardware engineer in the world of electronics

@@Kyronsk8 final drive is the gear ratio at the rear differential for our rwd cars. if you have a manual 04 to 07 g35, you have a 3.5 final drive ratio if the differential wasnt swapped out already. swapping your diff to a 3.7 or a 3.9 or 4.08 it makes each gear shorter hindering top speed of each gear but theres a noticable difference in linear acceleration. this doesnt require cracking open the differential at all it just requires swapping the whole thing out (although im not sure about the 4.08 swap). if you are doing this mod, while you’re in there, swap out your fluid diff bushing for a z1 bushing or whatever you find best based on peoples experiences.
Will this affect the vehicle from passing smog nowadays? i was looking into doing this but i just heard smog shops are now checking for flash tunes through the obd ports through bar ois
I currently have my 2004 G35 coupe being rebuilt I’m going to leave it automatic with just rebuilding the motor from top to bottom. Have plenum spacer and takeda intake shipped I’m buying a extension to push the intake into the bumper to become a cool intake. Thanks for the motivation. Are you sponsored?
I bought an 03 g35 with the uprev tune but previous owner did not give me the cable, car was supercharged at one point, what do I need to do to be able to retune the car back to an N/A tune??
I tuned my car like a week and ahalf ago I have a DE 350z I made 266whp/240ftlb on e85, the dyno that was used reads low I was told from my tuner it reads like a mustang dyno was tuned by Saulnismoknights the goat
Question do they also fix ecu i have a code for my ecu car worka but got a code saying the ecu not getting the right voltage i had a leak on my windshield thts fix now but i believe water got to the ecu nd thts y i got tht code but car works fine any idea if thry fix ecu ?

This is a touchy topic. If you ask a hardcore manual lover (automatic haters) then your answer is no lol. If you ask a reasonable person then you will mixed answers, but it’s honestly up to you. You can make both a manual and auto extremely fast but I believe the manual transmission will handle more power than an auto ( 500+ whp territory ). You can also upgrade your auto trans however and handle more power as well. So honestly it’s all up to you, you can make both fast.
kelvin I can’t really recommend right now, my tune isn’t done yet, and I haven’t had any experience with the other tuners, but tbh I have heard good things from RZG, Admin, and Saul Nismo Knights, so I guess it’s your choice in a way
Coupe if you want it to look better and it runs good. It’s rear wheel drive. But the sedan is awd burnouts are harder and can’t really drift. But if you want full 4 seats go for sedan. You’ll love the coupe but it all depends on what type of car you want.. and how many people you drive with or got homies to bring. I struggle hella with homies with my coupe that’s the only downside
bruh u said a dyno tune was 600-1000 now youre saying e tune is 600-1000.... why even bother to E tune if the cost is the same to go to a dyno and get it done 1 time properly instead of so many small adjustements. not really helpful my guy
