It's .....OK. But my Fimi A3 follows much smoother. Way more accurate and responsive. If I move 1 mm, it moves. If I stop it stops instantly. I think it is because the Fimi A3 controller has build-in GPS. Seems there is a bit of delay using the phone.
What my Fimi doesn't do unfortunately is auto-yaw when I use the sticks. But the SJRC F11 does. And so will my funny L109 Pro. Speaking of, the L109 Pro also auto-updates homepoint. While with the Fimi A3 you can choose in the menu. If you are going to test the follow-me feature on a drone you need to test the RTHh and the (dynamic) update homepoint as well because it is vital. You are no longer where it took off! Imagine riding down a mountain and suddenly it flies all the way back! Perhaps it is even more important than the follow-me itself.
Another thing I noticed, it starts to fly lower?? That's strange. Or were you walking down? My 3 drones I mentioned will not adjust altitude. A DJI using Maven will. Dronelink and Litchi I'm not sure. Frankly I don't have a DJI. Maybe I should get one just so I can try the third party apps. Follow-me in particular. I'ts kinda my specialty. The whole reason why I started with drones. To have footage of myself on bike trips. Active-track often loses you. It's great for certain shots. But not so much when you're in a hurry.

BTW. This drone has what I call 'compass type' follow-me. It will stay either north south east west of you the whole time. Until you put it somewhere else. The other type is 'string'. It will fly towards you but keeping a certain distance. If it is at your side it will slide away and eventually only follow from behind. I much prefer compass type so I can have it fly in view.
It's funny how hardly anyone on YT understands the difference. With a simple test you know. If you put the drone next to you and it flies sideways it is compass type. When it yaws and follows from behind it is string type.
