In lego movie, the Everything is Awesome song was intentionally meant to be a stereotypical modern song to further the sense of a forced conformist society.
Eh, opinions. I love the podcast, but there are definitely some points that I don't agree on, the stuff they were hating on being one of them. For the most part, I think shows can be allowed to not be too good starting out, cause some things just need to get a feel for where they want to go and grow into their own. Despite that, it certainly doesn't stop me from thinking the guys are fuckin' hilarious and tuning in for every podcast.
