Ι will be honest.... as a lore nerd about Honkai Impact and Genshin Impact, MiHoYo wants the causal players to believe that Paimon will betray us and they are hinting on that but that's just them trolling them. Paimon by name is supposed to be the strongest Archon and the most loyal servant of Aether/Lumine. In reality Paimon might either sacrifice herself for the traveler something I personally do not want to happen because I like her, or just remain loyal and alive the whole game, something I would prefer.
I agree, Paimon and Venti's death might be one of the lore concepts I genuinely think will happen in the future.
Probably something like that or paimon fucked it with not knowing, but i don't expect an obvious betray.
I saw in some Voice-lines about Lumine and Paimon, Paimon had kind of said she was the goddess of protection. I'm not 100% sure that's what Paimon actually said.

I literally just binge watched the whole Wandering Witch anime. This scene was the most terrifying moment of the whole anime, imagine using a ton of magic just to save your best friend just to find out their real horrible personality! It really broke my heart.

Did u see the sword on Aether, it just looks like the one the non abyss twin got when he/she first came to the world but I had tried to lvl it up to 70 and was looking 99% like this only!
I’m always uneasy about the fact that we literally don’t know what Paimon’s intentions are, and she seems to be the only being of her kind in the entire universe so far. We’re supposed to believe she’s just this random fairy who we saved once and now she’s following us around on super dangerous quests with no ulterior motives? And she doesn’t seem to know much about the world we’re exploring either, so it’s weird that she’s supposed to be our ‘guide’. Almost like she came from another world, too… hmm… It’s almost too obvious but it’ll still be painful if it turns out to be true.

No. That's what makes her perfect last boss. Text speech and guide is only needed in Teyvat chapter. After we visit all 7 nations Paimon's guidance won't be needed. Talking for a traveller? What if Traveller starts speaking for themselves in volume 2 {chapters after Sneznaya patch}.

We probably wont ever see a playable character die and even though i get it you don't want your fav to die,it takes away the thrill of the story. Destruction and ruins took up every bit of land, leaving this small space. "Aether!" I screamed as I reached for my brother, who wore a shocked expression. "Lumine..." he said in a soft voice as I wrapped him in a tight embrace. Tears spilled out of my eyes as he patted my back, as if to try to comfort me. "Are you hurt?" he asked. I shook my head and hugged him even tighter. I would never let him leave me again.
"Why?" I asked simply, little droplets of jewels on the tip of my eyes. Aether didn't say anything and instead wore a solemn face. "Becau-" I braced myself for my long-awaited answer. Instead, blood splattered on the stone ground. Drops of the red substance flew in mid-air as I breathed in the familiar smell of blood. I screamed in horror.
Aether was thrown back and collided with pieces of ruin, a sword stabbed into his chest. That weapon, it looked very familiar. "Paimon?" I said in a small voice, not wanting to turn around. Not wanting to admit it. "Heh, haha, HAHAHAHA!" the same, tiny voice turned into a corrupted and distorted voice. My throat became sore and itchy, feeling as though a million swords were stabbing my chest. My gut twisted as I choked tears.
Finally, I bought up the courage to face her. My little companion. My traveling buddy. My mascot. My guide. My friend, the one who was there for me this whole time. I should've known. No, I did know. Everything always pointed to her, to Paimon- The unknown god. But I refused to accept it. Though in this moment, I am forced to.
Why would she do this? I trusted her. She knew how much he was to me. Was this all a game to her? A little joke? An odd little girl searching for her brother around the world, always letting opportunities slip away from her. Paimon smiled and giggled content, "Heh! Paimon has been holding back for so long to see that expression on your face! Lumine, why are you always so dumb? So foolishly dumb, dumb, DUMB! How does it feel? To have the most precious person in your life stabbed by the sword YOU gifted to me?" I clenched my hands into tight fists, "Paimon..."
"Actually, you were supposed to die in that attack! Paimon should've stabbed your back so that it woul-" I could feel anger boiling inside of my body. Focusing the power on the tips of my fingernails, I pulled out my sword from thin air and pointed it against the tiny pixie, screaming at the top of my lungs.
"PAIMON!"
Shots of magic blasted towards her from the edge of my sword. "Ow, ouch! That hurts!" Paimon screamed as she laughed with a smile like a maniac. "You were tricking me the whole time!?" I screamed, continuing the blasts of power. My eyes were swollen, and I could feel my consciousness slipping away. "I...thought we were friends!" Paimon continued giggling, "Lumine is trying to kill Paimon!"
"This whole time!" I choked on my words. "You were tricking me!? You...demon!" With a smile on her face, Paimon's neck was wrapped around with a tight ring of light and was bought up to the air. I let go of one hand on my sword and pointed it up at Paimon, providing mana to keep the magic ring around her neck, suffocating her. "You..." Paimon uttered, "Murderer..."
A trail of ancient text surrounded me, a spell from hundreds of years ago. I summoned a picture of us, smiling and giggling and held it. "I don't need my memories of you- I don't need any of them. They can all disappear with you." I looked directly at Paimon, letting time in which a few seconds burn it to a crisp. A magic circle surrounded me, as I chanted the spell in my mind. To finally cast Paimon away. "I...shouldn't have saved you," I said in a voice that only became more wavering, sorrowful.
"I shouldn't have thought back on our time together. *I shouldn't have thought bad for calling you emergency food.* You should just die, disappear, and never come back. You should... You should just..." Tears formed at the end of my eyes as I ran out of words to say except goodbye. "Goodbye, Paimon."
The ring exploded into a tiny bits, a blinding light in which nobody could ever bare to witness.

If this turned out to be canon it would be incredibly heartbreaking for everyone who was attached to Paimon (myself included), but at the same time that would be a genius way to pull on our heartstrings.
I still hope it doesn't happen though.
Such thing won’t happen. She’s way to close to us and would break events. Old players won’t have her in these but new ones would. Or players who are playing this game for quite some time but aren’t that far in the story, won’t have her anymore in events. Would be strange.

Don't worry. They won't do that. Otherwise, it would make for an unpleasant experience when you go through it again. Players would be uncomfortable going through the game seeing the traitor in every dialogue. Even newcomers who would have learned the game's ending from the spoilers. And that, accordingly, is an uncomfortable experience during the walkthrough. Fewer players, and therefore less revenue

I used to hate Paimon, I thought she had to much energy and that she would just be our final enemy but furthering into quests with her I start to realize that she really is our friend.

my theory of paimon is that she is from celestia, but some how when we found her she had been erased of all her memories (I think she witnessed the destruction of khaenriah, if not fought in it) and that's how she knows so much about teyvat but still knows so little. i don't think she's gonna betray us, more she's going to betray celestia for the traveler
Nah Paimon is an Equipment: Life Form Model: Unknown God
My theory is that she is sort of a time goddess and the moment we actualy save her from drowning at the end will have happenned rigth after her figth as the end boss, where weak as she was she time traveled at the very moment she gets hit on the end, explaining her amnesia. She never totaly recover her memory since she's always fougth before remembering too much. This create a time loop in which paimon gets herself imprisonned again and again.
Get her ass kicked by the ending version of the traveler -> travel back in time while getting amnesia -> is saved by the begining version of the traveler -> start adventuring with the traveler -> events of the game follow their course as time flows -> paimon eventualy start remembering moments of her past -> the traveler and paimon figth once more -> the cycle repeat itself.
My theory is that she is the ruler of the selee species that got dethroned when the 1st visitors arrived.

This was from the anime where the MC is called Elaina the wandering witch, it was such a shocking experience to watch the original scene.
You'd think that the story is gonna be some slice of life anime but the story gradually becomes darker with just normal looking people who have a dark past or will have a dark future.
I loved how there some dark episodes and then some light episodes too :))

Meanwhile, at the same time we see a warship that isn’t abyss order in origin but it looks familiar from GGZ timeline a warship that is similar to herrscher of the void except it’s the herrscher of the end and we cut to black. But then just then there’s a glimmer of hope teyvat that could be saved. He comes across a satellite that could be used as a weapon as its last stitch attempt to stop abyss order plans and close the wormhole for good and he used the fatui satellite that was launched from space using Fontaine technology and he shot the warship and exploded closing the warm hole and saving teyvat but unfortunately he gets sucked into the into the portal and not on teyvat but on earth. Then we cut to 50 years in the future where we see him waking up up now as a regular human now in a new body after the reentry severely burned him and deformed nearly killing him when he landed in the ocean that hard and that’s why he needed a new body yet again losing his powers, but now we see his transformation into his human form is complete. Then he has a photo of his time serving the military. As the neural blocks are removed from his powers to destroy the Alpha Abyss, the crystalies in the his body can now rearrange to anything imaginable, thus making aether more symbiotic than ever. It changes its outer layer to reform Aether's former physical body, technically resurrecting him. Aether then grabs the dog-tags of his deceased squad members thinking how much he sacrificed his humanity and his own body in the quest for victory. He walks out to the beach and throws the tags into the water, and decides to use his actual name "Laurence Barnes" from now onwards. Aether then walks back towards the hut, cloaks and repeats his famous taglines "They called me Aether. Remember me." As the story of genshin impact comes to a close then after 20 minutes of end credits we get a post credit scene shows 50 years earlier which is roughly 5 months after the final battle with the abyss order. The last remaining Fatui skirmishers are running from someone or something and securing board of directors are being hunted by someone or something once they made it to the hideout they were instantly wiped out except for the board of directors. Then we hear a familiar voice. It’s none other than kaeya now working as a mercenary
