these na engines are so hard to drift with,,,,... they need trully perfect handling to drift in a big stiky surface like this!!!! nice!!!!! just a proud owner of a modified ke70... keep it up!!
Man this is fun to watch. They're having a blast out there pushing those little corolla's to the limit and beyond. If that's a T50 grearbox in that KE70 then damn, I was waiting for it to die. Same as the ass end, you'd think it was a disc brake T series with a 2 way, man they punish those things. So much fun, I was laughing out loud.
Wish I never scraped my AE71, even tho it was a 4A-C and I never swapped engine. Welding that diff and wringing its neck was the best side ways fun ever!
Been watching this many times and still dont get why he spun out in the beginning. He had perfect speed, and even though it was full lock, dipping the rear end into the camber at the outside should have put more than enough weight on the rear wheels to regain grip.... If the tires were shaite he wouldnt have been able to get the rest of those snappy entries.
look 4:15 and press 0'25 speed on the player. If you make a capture when he begins to turn on the left and compare to the first drift lost you will see that it began to turn before. You can see the end of the left fender at 4:16.
Puzzles me to this day. The front wheels didnt self-center (too much weight transfer or not enough of it?), which caused over-angle. But it`s wasnt un-correctable, didnt look like overspeeding either. He slammed the clutch at first sign of trouble, you can hear him revving freely in anticipation of regaining traction, instead it just kept on going :/
Good luck getting the RB30 around the crossmember. Hope it doesn't take too much cutting, welding, and massaging of the firewall. Hell, at that point are you even keeping the firewall or just making a new one from scratch?
+Verum Quaerere Seek Truth yeah should fit mate, just gotta be prepared to fork out the extra cash. all im gonna say is that your gonna have to get a LOT of parts made specifically for this build that your thinking of. ask a local mazda expert or go on a mazda forum for help mate. dont know why you wanna stop your mazda from going BRAAP anyway lol
yanni carapetis I'm from South Africa - we get ripped off badly over here with spares - especially 13b -RX7 are cheap, RX8 engine are insanely priced. Apex seals cost R5500-00 a set. A overhaul kit for a 8 is R18 000.00 give or take. I'm going the 1jzgte route. Thanks by the way. I figure the only way to make a RX8 better is by dropping a inline 6 Toyota engine in it.

Standard ke70 use 4k engine, but i think this car use 4age engine

Maybe the tires aren't hot enough.

what axle ratio? 4.3? 4.8? 5.1? 5.3?
with stock celica 4 age tranny and a 1200 diff 3 first
speeds shorts , diff wont handle the torque but lasted 1 year daily
