    P.S. Here’s a little extra donation to help out with anymore fur baby supplies! Love you!

    Some (hopefully) helpful tips in the future if you become concerned about a puppy:
    Check gum color, if white then definitely get them checked in (when having a lot of fleas it can do a lot of damage to a puppy. All the blood loss will cause white gums) look for a healthy pink color!
    Check if dehydrated. You can do so by pinching up their scruff a little and see how quickly the skin ‘snaps’ back into place. It should go back very quickly! If it doesn’t snap back into place they’re dehydrated.
    Count the puppies respiratory rate. You can count how many breaths happen for 15sec then divide by 4 to quickly do it. If the puppy is breathing rapidly, heavily consider going to the vet. Or if they are panting if it is not hot, that is a red flag!
    Vet world we also check for BAR. Bright Alert Responsive. Make kissy sounds, see if they react to it or seem lethargic.
    Happy to help anyone if they have follow ip questions! Of course if you have any worry at all though you should just go to the vet especially if wagmor can cover the cost. Puppies are so fragile and every minute counts in taking action for their health.

      Such an important comment! Of course there’s no blame to be placed here but it does feel like the rescue didn’t really set him up for success by not giving any information on things to look out for. Those puppies had so many fleas and they should have addressed which to look out for as a result. It also seems odd they wouldn’t want to assess the pup after the fact to make sure there wasn’t something contagious that that pup had.

      @TheKatarinaGiselle Год назад +29

      This is all great advice, but he's heard it all before (for both kittens and puppies) and he doesn't take on the information ppl share. He just puts it on the people at Wagmor and never tries to do research beforehand, take initiative when something is wrong. It pisses many people off. I love Joey, but stiop at this point after having rescued like 15 pregnant cats and dogs, and him _still_ just going with the flow...it's clear that RUclips and views matter more than taking it seriously as a career ij caring for animals and doing absolutely everything you can. He has the money to do so much, but he doesn't take the time to research and learn ahead of time, and by now, he should know way more than just the info you shared. I know nobody is perfect, but this is a pattern I have noticed way too many times over the last several years since he began fostering. It just gets old. And I want to clarify that I GET death happens within fostering no matter what- what I am addressing is bigger than that and has more to do with a long-term pattern of behavior. He even said himself "with these things you just don't know". False, there are so many things to look for and even in the kast episode I was screaming inside at the camera at what he needed to immediately do that he wasn't. It becomes frustrating as a viewer. I don't wanna be shat on for my opinion, but I know I'm not the only one that's been saying the same thing for years. Unfortunately when you profit off of fostering, the perspective and motives can never be the same, unless it starts off being something you are doing privately and not for profit. I will stand by this belief. There are obviously exceptions, like Lee, but his passion was fostering before he became a RUclipsr. Joey has a huge resurgence in followers and views the first time he fostered and it truly beame his algorithmic thing that stuck, hence why he never stopped no matter how many things went wrong and how many people have gim advice een ahead of time that he ignored, not just for one litter or even one species- for multiple and over the course of years. (Plus there is some performative scenes. Go watch back the part where he "discovers" the puppy". He clearly knew ahead of time by where he was standing and how far back he was. The normal reaction would be to run up to check and know for sure. Obviously I could be wrong, but it didn't look or feel natural. And if you truly care, why not show things as they are in real time? Why reenact things that you couldn't get on camera for any other reason than thinking of the video first and foremost and what you want your audience to see? You know what I mean?

      @@TheKatarinaGiselleI partially agree with you. But this comment could also discourage people from helping animals. Most of the time it’s either euthanasia or someone who’s willing to help. Not everyone is going to be the same level of expert. If only elite experts could do this we wouldn’t have hardly anyone to help with the millions of animals who need it.

    Your still giving the other puppies, mama, and Auntie an amazing new life to start. The other little puppy at least got peace and was in a clean environment where it was warm and safe. You are doing an amazing job by helping these animals that come from many situations that they never should have to be in. You give them a home to feel loved until they find a forever home. You have a big heart

    Just know that you did everything you possibly could. I’m sure in those moments the puppy felt beyond loved and happy to finally have someone who was taking care of him. Thank you for everything you do. You’re truly a wonderful soul and I hope you always know that.
