    I’m so excited for your trip! I’ve been to Japan a few times. My daughter lives there with her Japanese husband and their kids. I think you should try to go next year in the end of March/beginning of April when the cherry blossoms are blooming.

    My husband and I have been to Japan twice, we love it ❤ This may be too much but... 1) Avoid Summer, its unbearably hot and humid, even people who live there hate it 😏
    Spring would be beautiful, but late Fall is also quite lovely with warm/mild weather 👍
    2) Make sure you get out to the countryside!! It's beautiful and well worth a quick train journey out of the bigger cities.
    3) Rent a pocket wifi for internet on the go! You can order in advance for pickup at the airport. Don't bother with SIM cards, especially if you're traveling with other people. You can all use the portable wifi easily all day. 4) Bring a small hand towel with you each day, many air dryers were removed during covid and never came back. 5) Check to see if any festivals are happening when you're there. They can be crazy crowded, but fun if it's something you enjoy 😊 6) We always watch a lot of videos from locals before we travel somewhere, it helps us to pick out areas or places we are actually interested in visiting 🤷‍♀️
    Ummm... I'll leave it at that 😂

    Um, actually, yes, K-dramas ***do*** count as language study. You're absorbing the language. Listening to music in that language also counts, especially if it's a video that shows the lyrics!

    I have definitely been inspired by things I've watched or read in the past when I've done creative writing. Cute photoshoot and those pictures turned out nicely. Have to enjoy the nice weather outside before it gets too warm and you want to stay inside where it's cool.

I love psychology too and I absolutely get inspired from watching things all the time😆 I’m not a huge fan of violence, I do not like violence for violence sake scenes that are ridiculously bloody. Also, I love seeing you do photo shoots🙂 they’re very unique! Is it me or is the fairytale aesthetic just ✨✨✨

    I had been to Japan so far, it was so amazing! I loved Kyoto for its beautiful gardens, old houses and temples and the all over smaller scale, but Tokyo and Yokohama were also great because of fantastic architecture … so I would recommend that 😊. Finally I will have to go again, for I have had not seen enough! But first I’ll visit South Korea for a few weeks, I will fly in two weeks to Seoul and I am already veeery excited!

    A writer’s brain never stops storytelling. Every encounter lends to creating backstories or current plights of new acquaintances. Every color or sound creates a mood. The beautiful thing about writing is that you don’t have to live in reality. Don’t think too hard about the story, it will write itself.

    We went to Japan in March - I absolutely loved it. We flew into Yokohama and stayed at the Hyatt Regency. Wonderful hotel, central so we walked everywhere. Highly recommend Sankeien gardens, so gorgeous and peaceful. Ginza was fun if a little much. But some of the side neighborhoods were really cool. We missed the Imperial Palace (it closes early), but from what we saw on the outside it would be worth a trip. The people are so nice

    CNA Insider Dec 13, 2022 Have you thought of studying the Ainu culture as well as other indigenous cultures throughout the world? The Ainu culture of Japan 🇯🇵🗾 is similar to Indigenous Native American culture. As a matter of fact I would not be surprised some of the earlier people who trek across the Bering land bridge going east to present day Alaska were the Ainus. Just a thought 😊. See you in your next video 😊.

    Japan's is at its most beautiful in Spring Time, that's when the cherry blossoms/sakura will be in bloom. It happens between end of March to first week of April. But it can come earlier depending which region it will be. From personal experience, Osaka & Kyoto are the places to fully experience Hanami (Cherry Blossom Viewing). Although Tokyo is also a great place to go, but Osaka/Kyoto has more historical sites and parks where you can really bask and take it all in. In Osaka you can venture into the food (the birthplace of Okonomiyaki, a japanese savory pancake), and then in Kyoto, which is the old capital of Japan, you can visit Gion or the Geisha District, Nara Deer Park and Todaiji Temple also located at Nara Park.
    So best to book your trip between the last week of March to the first week of April. Highly highly recommend. My husband and I are planning to go there next year as well. Hope we can see each other if by chance!

    • @ElectraDashwood
      @ElectraDashwood  5 месяцев назад +1

      That is so cool that you’re going too! If you do see me you should definitely come say hi.😊
      Kyoto is super high on the places I want to go for all its history. I definitely need to look more into Osaka too. The cherry blossoms sound so pretty! I think one concern we have is we’ve heard that is peak tourist season so everything is super packed and busy and the prices are higher. So we’re trying to decide if we want to deal with that or go during a chiller time. But then again the flowers sound so pretty! It’s hard. 😂

    • @papermoonchild
      @papermoonchild 5 месяцев назад

      @@ElectraDashwood I understand Spring and Autumn are peak seasons in Japan, so it is expected for crowds and high prices, but that is why booking early has advantages. There are business hotels that have a pretty decent price and it is at the city center..but the catch? Rooms are small. But if you will be exploring the whole day anyway, the room is pretty much just a place to sleep, take a shower, unload your shopping stuff and just rest for a bit. As for crowds, the good thing is, there are pockets of places where there are less people. Like at Nara Park, for sure people will be going for the deers but if you go to past the Todaiji Temple main and go further back and go up on a few flights of stairs, you will find Todaiji-Nigatsudo (February Hall) which has the sweeping view of the whole Nara Park, that place is not too crowded due to the fact it is higher up. Osaka Castle is also a great place to go and while it is crowded at the main castle, there are gardens you can chill and just admire the castle from another view as well as boat rides you can take (but that is expensive though, like USD 20 each person.) and also, TOKYU HANDS for art materials.
      But my last advise is the best length of stay is ONE WEEK so you can really get in there and experience everything. I am actually excited for you. Keep us posted on your plans so we can help you out in anyway we can, from recommendations to tips on how to get around.

Also, the ending of Damsel is different from the book which is so much better. I think the posters and trailers made it self look like a violent film lol PD: I see you didn't saw my friend Jess being violently killed by a gorn on Strange New Worlds :p xd

    • @jonythemoony
      @jonythemoony 5 месяцев назад

      @@ElectraDashwood lol. She had fun doing that scene. And improved a bit that Made it more real. Also, the gorn were on the season 2 finale so if you missed the episode, you missed how the season ends and the introduction of Scotty. The Damsel book was written along with the script, in the book ending they don't burn the castle. Also, you need to do reaction videos, it would be so much fun to see you freak out at a show or movie 😂☺️
