HOW TO BUILD A FALCONRY MEWS - ACR Outdoors

Good job , I think with all these things , they are a moving project, I’m sure you will change and add things as you go, nice size mews , mine has evolved to having an aviary attached so the Hawk can sit in the sun or go in to the shade.
During the summer he has started to sleep in the aviary , anyway good luck to you and your Hawks.

I’ve always loved birds. I got homing pigeons when I was 16 and the cooper hawks were always going for them and I never cared, just glad I got to see them. Amazing how fast, fearless and maneuverable they are. The red tails would also come and have a look. One time I got to watch 2 red tails lock talons and spiral horizontally at a high speed over me. I’m going to make a serious effort to get a sponsor so I can hunt the ground squirrels, that are abundant if possible. What do you think about hunting ground squirrels as a falconer?

Just make sure you are allowed to hunt them with a bird and yeah I think that would be fun. The cooper's definitely like pigeon coops. Thanks for watching

Are you located in a place that gets hot? Just wondering if metal would heat up too much or keep it cooler than wood

It doesn't seem to make it any hotter or cooler than wood but that is why I picked white metal.

Not sure but it's pretty easy to build. Just get your metal and measure the wall size before you build it.

It's already been though a few good wind storms with no issues
