  • HOW TO BREED/RAISE COTURNIX QUAIL PART 1
On this episode I show you how to build a coturnix quail cage setup for breeding quail for meat. I have built gravity fed feeders and watering systems. The cage design has a sloped floor to allow for the eggs to roll to the front of the cage for easy collection. I used 1/2" wire mesh for the floors as it allows the quail pooh to fall through for easy clean up.
Here is the link to the waterers I used from amazon.

This video should help anyone looking to raise backyard quail in small space. Raising quail for meat can be rewarding and fairly easy.

Let's see the incubation process also the hatching. ID like to hear about the processing and raising for food such as once they hatch do you raise for 6 to 8 weeks then freeze them yield from this set up etc..thanks in advance

I don't raise them anymore as I find it's just cheaper to just buy frozen. But yes we hatched over 300 last year and raised until about 4 weeks as space was an issue.
