The barriers u could construct in firefight would've been great for normal multi-player maps. Be able to set up choke points and cut certain directions off from enemy troop movements. Especially for the big 3v3 map they brought over from halo wars 1 that used to have sniper towers with energy walls got removed and just had the sniper towers. Done know why they didn't add them to multi-player maps but it's sad they didn't cus they work incredibly well
Yeah they're really cool, maybe a talented modder could make it happen if we're lucky haha
And it would turn matches into slugfests. Slow just like this game mode.
I have learnt some useful tips here. But legendary is a different game, you have to be as efficient as you can.
For the first 10 minutes, you should consider building an army of infantry before getting a vehicle depo so early. Also a supply pad should be built on the empty base node. You can scrap it later, but it is better to have it outputting something then letting it lay to waste.
Do consider the use of snipers, alot of the time in the early-mid game, the battle happens near the front so some of your mantis's at the back don't do anything. A bunker near the back with snipers should help out against those infantry units and provide vision against cloaked.
1:31:00 the enemy is able to pick up promotion bonuses from the ground
Late game, destroy your extra generators, and replace them with vehicle/barracks/air depos.
Yeah I've only just started to play around with legendary and it is very different. I can't get away with half the stuff I do in this video.

All the little quirks of the game you use to your advantage are perfect, how does the barrier destruction and build get the enemy units to go where you want them to?
To be honest I don't know how it works, but I noticed that waves would often just destroy 1 barrier then turn around and go another way and I could rebuild the barrier. One time though I accidentally destroyed the barrier before they did, but they still turned around, so now I just do it preemptively so I don't forget about them.

I've started to play around on legendary solo, but I'm also having an issue with only being able to capture 2hr videos with my current setup (trying to fix it, but I may have to switch back to the computer I captured this one on), so I keep using that as an excuse lol.
i actually made it into the top 11 on legendary firefight at one point solo. I believe it was with Johnson and it was tough

To be honest a big part is not getting hit with the hard UNSC waves nice your past around level 80 (vultures, grizzlies, and direct air waves can be rough). Just have to keep your fingers crossed lol

Funny thing is, I considered this exact strategy but on lower difficulties to get used to his and his systems.
