I too have deleted all social media, turned off RUclips history and only listen to this channel. The nuns have changed my life, I've met so many teachings from so many teachers. I listen everyday, and hear wonderful soothing words. I am transforming, transformed and cannot thank the nuns enough! I finally hear the one single message that all the teachings point to. We are divine energy. Not mind, not body, just a drop of God here for a while then absorbed back into the cosmos.
Agreed. Everything else seems like distraction. I’ve turned off my history and suggestions and just come for samaneri’s videos. Been a great way to break the scrolling habit.
Tornado ripping through Chicagoland area......if i go i go listening to this. Peace and love to all. Especially this enlightened channel and all seekers of Truth.
To remain aware to that which is going on WITHIN in order not to be completely fooled and trapped 🪤 in the incessant and noisy show going on and on WITHOUT : that's what all these wise and beautiful teachings are about. To remain awake in order not to miss the essential moments of life : the full and joyful experiences of these flashes of DIVINE LIGHT that come from Eternity. Thank you ❤
This is a gift of inestimable value and benefit for all beings. It is the only channel I listen to as well. Pranams and Gassho, Samaneri Jayasera. Magnificent.
The sounds and words together help to release attention from the silly wondering, mind wandering - those rabbit holes I find every day. Here's to the peace & light that connects us all. ✨️🌿
Only today I found that you not only read the poems from Sun Bu Er, but from many different traditions. Thank you, I love your voice, great for long Tea sessions as well, with Taiwanese Oolongtea's.
It's amazing to hear what a Zen master had realized and was teaching 1200 years ago. The same eternal truth all the great bodhisattvas talk about. Thanks for making this beautiful recording. 💙☮️🕊🙏
This is undoubtedly the highest teaching- we find some version of it in various traditions- in Christianity we find it in many experiencers- from Dionysius the Areopagite to Lillian DeWaters to Meister Eckhart. In Advaita Vedanta we find it in Vivekananda and Shankara and Ashtavakra. I hope I realize it some day. It’s terrifying, because it means the personal self doesn’t really exist.
Not really terrifying just a different perspective. The Self is just a construct so that the Universe/God/Creation can experience itself. Without forms consciousness would have no way of being expressed 💚🙏
You have the intention to realize it and that’s enough. Just keep at it, be very patient and kind to yourself, and it will come in time. The fear is your friend, look at it closely, and then let it come and go as it pleases.
It's not terrorizing.. your thoughts terrorize, the idea that thought is real. But the beautiful thing, is what you are "trading" in.. is your love of this and that.. in finiteness for a Love of ALL.. even that which you "see" as evil.
Fascinating how the term ‘mind’ carries such opposing meanings in teachings, yet you still intuitively understand what’s being transmitted. I remember how that would really confuse me as a newbie seeker.
@@TheCdrey Yep sure. From my experience, most teachings associate mind with ego and samsara - our mind based existence created by thoughts, perceptions, memories & hopes. But some teachings refer to Mind in the sense of it being Conciousness. For example Huang Po , (who calls it ‘One Mind’) and Nisargadatta often uses Mind as the ‘universal Mind’ - God. The context in which the word is used is what’s important, rather than getting hung up on the word itself.
“The perception that there is nothing to perceive: that is … deliverance.” Just a wordless wow is all I’m left with. The pacing with which you recite the words of the saints, sages, maters, etc. is so perfect. It allows the essence behind the words to penetrate beyond thinking mind into the stillness of eternal mind/consciousness, true nature, the Self-whatever words you want to use to describe the essence of what we truly are-so this “sudden illumination” of which Baizhang Huaihai speaks can emerge spontaneously. Thank you 🙏.
I have been doing the guided meditations on the website for a year almost daily now. Best guided meditations on the internet. Would love to have a zen buddhist style meditation on the website too. Zen meditation seems to be the most coveted type of meditation, as I have yet found no good guided meditations of that style in english.
oh wow the choice of picture is wild to me, astigmatism so if I stare at the stars of streetlights for long enough, circular prisms of light like the one in the video, only much brighter (which I used interpret as painful). The simplicity of everything falling into place at that moment. That this is the infinite spectrum of choice and "ways" within the framework of this incredible game we all get to take part of. Live in your own reality and try not to subjugate others to your subjectivity. We have the material world to communicate and make things simpler to understand but please my unknown friends. And the "God" realm? Well 1st verse of the Tao Te Ching sums that up pretty damn well.

Someone on our street has killed a hedgehog whilst wearing ear-defenders and using a petrol strimmer to cut long grass. Has it happened? Do I perceive this? Should I be angry? Or does it not matter? Should we speak out against human stupidity, or do we ignore it and say everything is fine?
Compassion is really the natural response that will arise when you contemplate the sufferings of all sentient beings. Perhaps ignorance and lack of mindfulness contributed to this unfortunate accident - have compassion for the one who harms another, whether deliberately or unintentionally. Our main concern should be with ourselves - to know our own minds and intentions; honestly and with wisdom. We will see that we are not stainless either. The only healing balm is the cultivation of a compassionate heart for ourselves and others, and practice to awaken more and more.
@@SamaneriJayasara Mahalo for responding to this comment. This has been my struggle for the last few days. A few teenage boys killed baby chickens that I have been blessed to watch grow and thrive. My heart has been wrenching with this fact. I struggle to sit back and not say anything, trusting that even this act was the Divine...my own Self. Detachment with compassion towards the boys and the baby chicks is proving to be difficult even with the knowing of false perceptions and illusions in this beautiful game of Life. For now...I will allow my compassion to be the healing balm...there is no-thing else I can do...no-thing to do. Peace and Love to you Samaneri for all the wisdom you have brought to so many of us.

Simply to notice the empty, clear nature of your own mind..as it is..free of conceptual elaboration.
