About 2 years ago I moved to Ireland and shortly after drove along the ring of kerry. Back then we were talking about how fantastic it would be to cycle this incredible landscape and how sad it is, that this isn't really an option due to all the traffic and small roads. Especailly for my partner because she isn't the most confident on the bike and I am sure that's true for a lot of people. Even me, an avid cyclist, gets scared on irish roads sometimes. Since then I've been back a few times and in the meantime I had read about the plans for the greenway. I was absolutely thrilled following the planned route and I think it will be THE greenway in Ireland and even better than the one around Achill. I really hope they are going through with it and we all can enjoy the beautiful scenery of your area by bike and take it all in. You just don't can't do that when you are driving. I'll be back. With or without the greenway. But I'll definitely come more often once the greenway is open. :)
Great presentation as always Bernard. It's a no Brainer. Pity the poor farmers dont see it that way. In a few months one will be able to cycle from Rathkeale County Limerick to Listowel Co Kerry. Plans are in place apparently to join up with the Feint Greenway passing places like Finuge, Lixnaw and Abbeydorney on to Tralee. At the other end it is hoped to extend to Limerick city. So it's not big deal then to run the North Kerry, West Limerick Greenway to meet the South Kerry Greenway surely. So Kerrymen cycling to the Gaelic grounds in Limerick will be possible. Complete with the sambos, spotted dic, and a cold bottle of Tae. LIMERICK ABU 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬 A proud West Limerick man I must mention and remember a special group of Volunteers in West Limerick who came together over 30 years ago and planted the seeds for the fantastic Greenway we will have shortly. Through Unbelievable opposition from some landowners, and zero interest from the owners C.I.E. (at the start) Limerick Co. Co.or Government bodies These people could see the potential for a Greenway long before they woke up in Dublin or Brussels. I salute and congratulate these people of Vision. Well done all, West Limerick is a much better place thanks to ye.
Very well put. All the old tracks should join up around the country like they have in mainland Europe 👍. Some hard working innovative people on West Limerick.
Great video and message. Fair play. We're down here at the moment travelling around by car for the last week. It would be magical to explore the area on bikes. It would be a completely different experience again. Thanks Bernard!
The area has been left down by successive governments over the years. Look at dingle and Kenmare this is what caherciveen will become. Hard to believe the area had a former minister for tourism as a local representative...
I tell you once ..the only hope for the greenaway is open up the airports for Ryanair..they are the chaps that will keep these magical areas afloat..because the locals are leaving and the irish with this staycation malarkey will visit once but once is enough
I definitely be exploring this greenway when it’s complete but I have a feeling It will be more economical for me to bring that coffee and bun with me before I start the trip, 💰 💰, hopefully I ll be proven wrong. Great footage btw.
Good man yourself Bernard I'd love to see a greenaway I was down in cahersiveen not too long ago and I think it was really boost the local economy after the pandemic everything seems to be a bit dead in the town and I think it would bring a bit of life and atmosphere 👍👍
Brilliantly put together, fairly play man. Hopefully the recycling of dead infrastructure will continue, sure it's an investment already made and not yet applied
The scenery looks absolutely amazing, and I would love to cycle around that area.

I'm not a particularly good or experienced cyclist but if that Greenway was opened I think I'd give it a go! Some spectacular scenery there.
Hopefully it comes to fruition. Good man Bernard

No he was/is a gangster.
Link it up with north Kerry and we cycle to limerick
We can cycle to Munster Hurling Championship matches then. Tea & sandwiches in the basket.
Fantastic video. Hopefully it gets built sooner rather than later. It's certainly something that would make me go to Kerry for a trip
Lovely message! 100% needed for everyone .Wasted otherwise

😭 Bernard I’m so so proud of you. You’re doing well for yourself 😭

I love the Waterford greenaway, driving through potholes on the road to get to a pristine greenaway 😑
Fantastic video Bernard
Like that Bernard.
Such a shame the railways were pulled up, even if they were used for freight train 🚂

I hear it's full of foreigners now. The Irish are leaving to make way for their replacements. Diversity is the Elites strength.
Good man Bernard - always na sayers - they need to be routed out. Mike
Great camera work. Was this Con Leary?
Ya he filmed it during the Foilmore drag😂
well bernard
limerick greenway is good too
Brilliantly put together, fairly play man. Hopefully the recycling of dead infrastructure will continue, sure it's an investment already made and not yet applied
Brilliant video, unfortunately wouldn't you think a functioning train line would be better for the area than a Greenway?
Best thing came out south Kerry ,,,, the road to CORK. COME ON THE MIGHTY REBELS
Parts of old railway lines not greenways should be reopened and restored to trains to stop Pollution, Car Accidents/Road Deaths and Traffic Jams.
Couldnt find a Kerry musician for the background music? Not even Irish? You promoted Scottish instead.
Yerrah howld
Do what u do best. Comedy. Don’t mind that stuff
There must be no community where you're from I'd say.
@@bernardcasey8370My people are from Ballinskelligs such a beautiful place. Greenway would make such a difference to South Kerry.
Tà sùil agam go raidh Sè ar aigh
Pitty about the weather doh.
Beautiful video ber,(now close it down)
I didn't find this one as funny as your other work
