Well, our Pizza Hut kinda sucked, so he didn’t miss out. The one a few towns over is better, but not much more. Feel him on the domino’s though. It’s right on the highway beside a gas station and is always available, but it’s our best pizza place. Though our Little Caesar’s in one of the best in the county especially if you get no sauce.
I had a friend that would agree with your nephew. Little Caesars is her favorite pizza. It is the only place that their pepperoni wouldn't cause her to breakout in a terrible rash. Personally I think it's an ok pizza, especially at the price. I also had a friend whose favorite pizza was Cici's. I honestly don't know why. He would order pickups from there all the time. Papa John's is pretty good. I remember when I was younger, my father, his motor cycle groups, and I built a fence for a Make A Wish Foundation place and Papa John's provided us with lunch for free. But overall my favorite place is Dominoes. Their thin crust is just the best.
Agreed. Dominos rocks. It doesn't matter where I have it. I've had it in 2-3 cities as an adult and it was ALWAYS great! I can't say the same for Pizza Hut. I've had it good from a place on vacation, but it wasn't as good the last couple times. The only bad experience with Dominos I had was in college, where I'd been up literally all night before a test studying, took the tests, (which I aced), went back to my dorm, ordered Dominos, then just about burst into tears because I thought it kinda tasted like vomet or something ... I think it was just my all-nighter messing with my taste buds. Moral of the story, NEVER eat pizza after an all-nighter! I'm just sad neither are close enough to deliver to me at home ... I get to choose from two local options, one with really floppy pizza, and the other with sub-par wings ... yay! They're not always bad, but definitely a toss-up and better in the air fryer the next day!
The only pizza I can tolerate from Little Ceasers is their thin crust then I dip it in their Buffalo ranch sauce. Domino’s used to be nasty imo mainly because they used way too much cornmeal on their crust. Once they revamped a few years ago they’re one of my favorites now as well.
Little Caesars isn’t always that bad to me, it’s like a hit or miss. Sometimes they’re actually pretty good sometimes not so good but hey, can’t really expect too much from a large $5 pizza.
@@Lol-rv5bv It might be still good where you are. The last pizza we got, the sauce was watery and it had no taste. I couldn't believe they sent that. The time before, they didn't send half our order and we had to go through hoops to get our money back. These places are franchises so it may be the doing of the franchise owner. I'm glad you're still getting the good stuff though.
I’m in Tennessee, and we have Marco’s! The one near me is pretty tasty, and they have good calzones for a chain delivery place. Also, I do have an affinity for Cici’s and Little Caesar’s, but only because I’m a teacher. Little Caesar’s is a great and inexpensive way to treat my students, and Cici’s fundraisers were a blast in the before-times.
My favorite pizza delivery place is Round Table Pizza. It's a west coast chain based out of CA, although I do see they got one in San Antonio and several in Dallas, Texas. They have a zesty red sauce and a perfect thick crust (although the normal crust is also good!) It was actually the first franchise pizza place to be opened in Skagit county, WA, where I grew up in the 80's, before Pizza Hut and Domino's ever moved in. And the store's still there in Mount Vernon, albeit in a different building. An interesting thing about them was in the 80's they packed their pizza in circular styrofoam boxes instead of cardboard, which was kind of cool to us as kids. (They migrated to cardboard boxes after styrofoam became a problem.)

As a former CiCis manager the olive just shows it’s a delivery or Togo order. But, you usually want to take it off after you pull the pizza from the oven. One of the many reasons is bankrupt
That Little Caesars crazy bread though. I can eat a whole bag! Was really hoping to see Donatos in the mix. We just got them here in NC a few years back. Better than all of those with Marcos maybe being an exception.
I love to watch these food rankings. That said it needs to be a blind tasting. I feel Matts food biases get in the way of a true real ranking. Still like to watch.
@@jordanjenkins1671 That is true to a point. Rhett and Link seem to have trouble, at least at times, when blindfolded. To be fair, I don't know how much fast food they have outside of their work.
We never had Little Caesars for a long time here in Canada. I do remember eating it when I went to Florida when I was a kid and we got a Little Caesars cup and I actually still have it. Their Pizza is not bad actually and the price is excellent. Their garlic bread and twisty bread our amazing especially their marinara sauce. But what I do like about the place is that there's a sign outside of the store that says { z please do not go through our garbage, if need to come inside and get something to eat } I don't remember exactly what it says, but basically it's saying if you can't afford it come in any way we will give you something to eat and drink. And Papa John's does the same thing for homeless people around here

Fun fact: the very first Marcos Pizza ever was opened in my hometown of Oregon, Ohio in 1978! Its actually still in the exact same spot that it was when it first opened, 9 years before I was born. It's literally 3 minutes from my current house!
Pizza actually is pretty nutritious but like most things, its about how much you eat. I saw a study that said pizza can actually be a better nutritional choice than a lot of cereals
I remember when Marco's first hit the scene it was a cheap bland pizza. And when I worked at Dominos I learned to love Little Ceasars because it was the only pizza I could afford, yes, while working at Dominos.
Marco's is still bland, but it ain't cheap anymore. They cut every corner and the rootbeer they carry is like battery acid. Personal experience with my local Marco's
I've been a Papa John's pizza fan for years... the garlic butter is delish. But, then my neighborhood got Marco's Pizza with my favorite being the PEPPERONI MAGNIFICO which has two types of pepperoni (Pepperoni and our signature Old World Pepperoni) - yum! Marco's could use a garlic butter for sure.
Marcos has Garlic Butter. Marcos pizza dipped in zesty ranch for the pizza part, and then their crust dipped in garlic butter is pure heaven. I also highly suggest adding the garlic sauce, parmesan, and Roma crust toppers when you order, bc they really elevate the crust and you can get multiple for free. Those 3 combined is my favorite combo for the crust toppers. Marcos has been my favorite pizza chain for well over 12 years now. Edit: also I think the Marcos garlic butter is way better than papa John's garlic butter bc it seems more.....real. Papa John's is like butter flavored plastic to me.
I used to work for a company that made the "cheese" for 3 of those. It was simultaneously fascinating and disgusting to see what went into them, and why they had extra components.
My husband and I used to have a Mr Jim's franchise (RIP mr Jim...very nice guy in person) anyway, when we were at work and bored, we would order from different pizza delivery places just to see the confusion on the delivery dudes face when he delivered a pizza to a delivery pizza shop....it was fantastic! And yes, we tipped very very well
If you're ever in Jacksonville, Florida, there's an Al's Pizza that's pretty dang good. They also have this sort of deep fried ravioli situation going on that's life changing.
yea i switched to Marco's about 5 yrs ago when my son got a job delivering for them for a while. The pepperoni magnifico with 2 different types of pepperoni is amazing, and what i order everytime lol. Never gone back to pizza hut/dominoes since.
I used to swear up and down that the Cici’s in Foley on the way home from the beach was the absolute best…..and then I realized it was just Bc I was always starving and had been drinking all day 😂
at 27 years old i wouldnt choose cici's first, but anytime me and my friends had bonfire parties we always got cicis because it was cheap and we all said it was better than little cesars
Cici's is where families like mine go after church on Sunday when I forget to make breakfast.. LOL... (Ps. I hate it) but my sons (teen & tween) love it.
I have fond memories of Hungry Howie's when I went to university in Florida, in which it was the only pizza shop within walking distance of my campus. The delivery drivers for other chains usually screwed up delivering to the dorms. I ate a lot of their Hawaiian pizzas, which is why I don't like the combination today all that much *lol* But, if you asked me what my favorite 'chain' pizza is, you didn't cover it - Round Table Pizza. King Arthur's Supreme is *chef's kiss*. Otherwise a lot of folk in the NW like either yuppie "NY Style Pizza" chains where one slice is a gajillion dollars (vs NYC where I remember getting a huge slice of cheap pepperoni for a dollar), or 'take and bake' places like Papa Murphy's. Oh, and MOD PIzza which gives me horrible indigestion.
I work at a Domino's. The little pizza sprinkles your talking about, it's corn meal. We use cornmeal to stretch the dough. Then it gets cooked and that cooked cornmeal sticks to the crust.
I will never forgive Papa John's for those soggy disgusting mushrooms I was forced to eat as a child. Those things were a crime against humanity. Who ever decided that *canned* mushrooms hidden under the cheese of a pizza was acceptable was doing the devil's work.
I'll admit that I don't have a ton of experience with delivery pizza or national pizza chain foods. I've certainly had some, though, certainly Pizza Hut, Dominoes, Papa John's, and several others. I think I can quite confidently say that my favorite widely accessible brand is Papa Murphy's. I know that categorically doesn't qualify to be in this video, as it at no point has ever been available for delivery (as far as I know) and is sort of apples-and-oranges in comparison as customers are responsible for baking it themselves, but the freshness and number of toppings, decent quality and fairly hefty quantity of cheese and sauce, plus respectable crust taste--in every category it's at least 'good', and in many it's truly 'great' in my ever-so-humble opinion. I don't believe I can say that for any other country-wide pizza chain.
Are there any NOT connected to a Family Video? Every Marco’s I’ve seen (Southern Illinois) was in the same building and shut down before the Family Video parent shuttered.
@@Bimorcomics the one I used to go to in college was connected to a family video until the video store shut down. I had never seen a Marco’s before so I didn’t even realize it was a common thing
This is a tough one for where I live. I'm in Buffalo, NY, and we take great pride in our pizza, as well as NY style. Because of this Pizza Hut recently closed every location in the area, and most chains don't do well. We have 2 Papa John's and maybe a couple Dominos, but I think they're mainly for the tourists who don't know better. The closest Cici's to us is in PA, but it's across the street from a Cracker Barrel, and a block from Chick-Fil-A...so I've never been there.
Let me tell you, I used to work at a Pizza hut a couple years ago, the problem is, they dont make real dough, its delivered frozen right off the truck and then it has to sort of "thaw" and "set" before it can be cooked. I grew up as a teenager working in a NY Style Pizza chain in West Altanta and THAT was awesome, i remember making the huge batches of dough and forming little pieces into the giant dough balls that would be used to flatten out into the various sized pizzas, the sausage was freshly cooked and then sliced italian sausage and the sauce was actually made/cooked...unlike Pizza Hut and a lot of these other places where its all just premade in a giant bag
The "domino's dust" is cornmeal... That's what the dough is stretched in. I worked there for 4 years so completely related to the being tired of their food bit
The little Mississippi town I live has a Marcos and they are good, they took Papa John's old store. I miss them! Out of our Dominos, Pizza Hut, and Hometown pizza; Marcos is the best. We used to have a Pizza Inn, it was good also.
I wasn't a fan of Marco's the last time I tried it but Matt has convinced me I'll have to try it again. I do love Papa John's pizza, especially their specialty cheeseburger pizza when they have it. FYI: Domino's cheeseburger pizza tastes EXACTLY like a McDonald's cheeseburger but costs a lot more, so don't bother. I would've loved to have seen Matt's reaction to Little Ceasar's "certified smokified" smokehouse pizza when they had it. Only thing worse than bad pizza is putting bad BBQ atop it. Generally though, if I'm getting pizza, I'm getting it from either Romeo's (a local chain) or one of my town's mom and pop Italian restaurants. Guido's has been around here forever and has a loyal customer base; during the first few months of the pandemic, when lots of restaurants were struggling, Guido's profits actually went UP 30%. Some nights, they literally ran out of pizza before closing time. To this day, most of the people I know who lived here for a while and then moved away will make Guido's their first stop when they come back for a visit.
I miss hungry howies. Use to eat there sometimes in Florida. I gotta say I've never had Marcos, but I just might try them now. I agree that papa John's and domino's is good. Especially their crust. Pizza hut stuffed crust though...mmm...
So true! My family and I always tip pretty good, especially because my brother worked for Marcos as a deliver driver a few years back and some people wouldn’t tip him; that’s how he earned his money. I appreciate the work they do because that means I don’t have to leave and go pick up food 😂 the convenience is great.
True in a lot of states. Here in California, no. They get minimun wage plus mileage. In Texas where I started driving, yes. $2.50 an hour. Red states are the absolute worst in minimum wage.
I had Dominos down in Suriname. It was made with cheddar, sandwich ham and pepperoni slices the size of bologni. I have never had so much grease in my system. Me and my friend choked down one piece each. The next morning the box was stuck to the table because the grease had soaked through the box.
The little Caesars limited time salted pretzel crust pepperoni with the nacho cheese sauce is the bomb. It's my guilty pleasure food when it's available.
i miss Cinna-bites personally, i used to work at a Little Caesar's and they discontinued it when i was still there; altho, i did sometimes make a joke about Hellraiser in reference to it- Cinna-bite, Cenobite

I want to know how he got banned from that pizza hut
Maybe that pizza hut had a buffet once and he went all into it, it kinda makes sense.
He should try this again as a blind taste test! Without knowing where each slice came from.
Blind taste tests on all of his Bless your rank would be fun
That pan pizza of theirs got me through some of the worst orgo weeks I had in college- we
The only pizza I can tolerate from Little Ceasers is their thin crust then I dip it in their Buffalo ranch sauce.
We had one a couple of days ago and it was awful.
Facts I’ve grown up with little ceasars mostly cause I was broke and I fucking love their pizza
@@Lol-rv5bv It used to be really good, but they've gone downhill ...fast.
@@tswain92_ disagree but respect your opinion
@@Lol-rv5bv It might be still good where you are. The last pizza we got, the sauce was watery and it had no taste. I couldn't believe they sent that. The time before, they didn't send half our order and we had to go through hoops to get our money back. These places are franchises so it may be the doing of the franchise owner. I'm glad you're still getting the good stuff though.
I'd have loved if Matt found out they mixed up the pizzas into different boxes, thus messing with all of his preconceptions.
Yes! They should have at least removed the boxes😂
It should be a blind test
That be great
I'd be able to tell.
It’s true- little ceasars is the one chain pizza that’s actually better after it’s been in the fridge for a day and maybe reheated or not. Nailed it.

You are correct
I’m in Tennessee, and we have Marco’s! The one near me is pretty tasty, and they have good calzones for a chain delivery place.
Also, I do have an affinity for Cici’s and Little Caesar’s, but only because I’m a teacher. Little Caesar’s is a great and inexpensive way to treat my students, and Cici’s fundraisers were a blast in the before-times.
They have calzones at y’all’s location?!? I guess Texas hasn’t gotten those yet
There adds look so good but none near us.😢
My favorite pizza delivery place is Round Table Pizza.
Another cool 80s pizza thing was Book-It at Pizza Hut. I wish they would bring that back too.
Honestly I love it's a southern thing, but bless your rank is totally my favorite thing to watch lol, loved your video Matt, and I really love how your wife helps out, it's so sweet, it reminds me of how my husband would act if I filmed videos lol you are always so entertaining and enjoyable, thank you so much for sharing, I can't wait for your next video 😁👍
As a yankee who lives within 200 miles of NYC, to compare these options as the contenders feels akin to what I imagine Matt would feel watching me rank instant grits.
As a former CiCis manager the olive just shows it’s a delivery or Togo order. But, you usually want to take it off after you pull the pizza from the oven. One of the many reasons is bankrupt
What a stupid indicator. The entire food service industry already has ways of doing this that don't include errant ingredients. Lol
Wow, what a weird ass idea for marking a delivery pizza.
We watch because it is relaxing and funny :) I'm not even from the South but I love watching this channel
That Little Caesars crazy bread though. I can eat a whole bag! Was really hoping to see Donatos in the mix. We just got them here in NC a few years back. Better than all of those with Marcos maybe being an exception.
If you're ordering Donato's, you're ordering them for their thin-crust. Second-to-none in terms of chain places.
I’ve never had donatos
I also like in the goddamn woods. So what do I know
donatos is where its at fr... im glad they're expanding outside of ohio
Donatos is definitely the best. Too bad they closed their locations near where I live.
Little Caesars pizza is the best when it's fresh from the oven. Their crazy bread and Italian cheese bread is always #1
I love to watch these food rankings. That said it needs to be a blind tasting. I feel Matts food biases get in the way of a true real ranking. Still like to watch.
Problem though is if you've had chain food often enough, you can recognize their taste even when blindfolded.
@@jordanjenkins1671 That is true to a point. Rhett and Link seem to have trouble, at least at times, when blindfolded. To be fair, I don't know how much fast food they have outside of their work.
Little Caesar’s pizza may be low tier but their founder is such a quality person.
I love there thin crust with extra sauce

It’s low tier but it’s one of my favorites mostly cause I’ve eaten it the most growing up
I mean they’re mid tier not the best not the worst and I grew up with Pizza Hut man their pizza is below average like the cheese is so weird
And Papa John's does the same thing for homeless people around here
He should have paid the extra $1 for the 'best' option with extra cheese and pepperoni.
This may say way to much about me as a person, however I could sit and watch Matt eat and Bless Your Rank all day long! I have waited too long, I need another showdown between Matt & Calli on Back Porch Bickerin'!
Totally agree with your #1 pick! Fun fact, it's good without cheese, too. (I know, sacrilege for a Southerner, but I'm severely lactose intolerant.)
Fun fact: the very first Marcos Pizza ever was opened in my hometown of Oregon, Ohio in 1978! Its actually still in the exact same spot that it was when it first opened, 9 years before I was born. It's literally 3 minutes from my current house!
The first hungry Howie's opened in my home town of Taylor Michigan back in 1973. Their HQ is still in Michigan.
"No matter where you finish, you're still better than Cici's." I want this embroidered on a pillow.

There was nothing like getting a fresh pizza at Kmart which was little Caesars and also the crazy bread so good.. Just brings back my childhood
"Just look for the one with the most shiplap." Lol love the dig on that trend. So true!
Papa John's used to make their own sauce.
The "domino's dust" is cornmeal... That's what the dough is stretched in. I worked there for 4 years so completely related to the being tired of their food bit

Marco's makes the dough and sauce in house.
Source: I helped open one in my town before leaving for college.
Was a GM at Marco’s during college. I can confirm this. Still my favorite pizza.
Marcos is my favorite pizza.
They are the best chain pizza
I used to work at Marco's, and the fact that it's the only chain I order from should say a lot about the quality.
I'm so glad to see hunt brothers in here. It's my personal favorite kind of pizza. Period. Except maybe homemade
I miss hungry howies. Use to eat there sometimes in Florida. I gotta say I've never had Marcos, but I just might try them now. I agree that papa John's and domino's is good. Especially their crust. Pizza hut stuffed crust though...mmm...
HH is great for the cheaper pizza.... my second fave here....
With this being a delivery episode, I must say, remember to tip your delivery drivers!! They make less than minimum wage when they're on the road!!
The only decent pizza you will ever get comes from a place that has precisely one location.
