Of course, thanks to social media, reservations at some of them are in high demand! Molly, Alan, and Max are headed to a few of the most popular and busy themed experiences in Tokyo to see if they are worth the hype! Alan’s ability to tease out flavor profiles is very impressive!
The extra cool thing about the bear paw cafe is that it was started to allow people with mental health challenges who might be reluctant to interact with people face to face an avenue for re-integrating within society. Japan has several cafes like that including one with robot servers piloted by people who are housebound for whatever reason, who get to interact with a wide variety of people on a daily basis.
Okay, new series idea. Molly watches old original Pokémon cartoons in Japanese with no subtitles, and she narrates the show with all new Pokémon names. I think we need this done with Star Wars too.
It needs to happen. Her story telling is amazing.
Molly was living her best life at the Harry Potter cafe. Also, let Molly name every Pokemon from now till forever.
The Aragon dessert at the HP Cafe was “chestnut/marron” and not hazelnut. It’s a typical dessert in Japan especially during the fall.

You can do cinnamon toast at home. Pick your of bread and toasted put butter on it and mix with a tablespoon of sugar and cinnamon together in a small bowl, and sprinkle on top of buttered bread. You can get fancy go get some French butter or find some artisan butter. ❤
I respect Molly’s loyalty to Slytherin when ordering at the HP cafe. I’m glad she liked the sandwich!

The aragog dessert, I believe was a Mont Blanc. It’s a French dessert typically made with a chestnut pastry cream piped out to look like noodles and piped on a tart or cake
For the record, this was one of my favorite videos that you've ever done.
For your delight and delectation, I can identify a couple more of the portraits at the station - the chap with the turban and fancy mustache is the "mad, bad, and dangerous to know" romantic poet Lord Byron. The lady to his left, above the fellow you identified as 'Sleepy' is poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning - notorious for having had to flee the home of her controlling father and elope with fellow poet Robert Browning. So definitely magical!

The little bags/tins with food are omiyage. It’s a tradition based to bring back little gifts for friends and family when you go on a trip.

$100 bucks for a Wagyu Toast Sammich? Dang. But then again, it is located in Ginza. I love that you can choose your own toaster. Japanese bread is on a whole another level. So fluffy, so delicious.
In Osaka we paid $120 for a 7 course A5 Wagyu meal that came with a certificate. I'm glad y'all enjoyed it though. We really want to try Kirby Cafe because Kirby is just way too cute.

These are all awesome places. It was so cool that they had Rhubarb jam (my favorite)! As GF, I couldn't eat at the toast place, but I'm glad I can live vicariously thru you guys!

Lol the spider dessert is a Mont Blanc, which is a very common Japanese dessert. It’s also definitely chestnut, not hazelnut. My husband is Japanese and we both got a kick out the confusion. Love you guys😂

I'm with Max on this. All I could think of when they buried him at the *top* of a sand dune was that the first time a strong wind comes along, the seagulls are gonna eat well. At least in the book he got a PROPER burial.
Aragog's Lair looks a lot like a variation on a Mont Blanc, a popular dessert in Japan. A traditional Mont Blanc (or Mont-Blanc aux marrons) is sweetened chestnut purée in the form of vermicelli, topped with whipped cream. It was created in nineteenth-century Paris.

My wife is MAD about bread and toast (without her carbs the woman is a quivering mess; it's the bread crusts that give her a spine). I would love to watch her eat at Centre Bakery Toast.

As if I needed another reason to go back to Japan. Will definitely have to hit the Harry Potter Cafe and store and the Studio tour. I definitely feel your pain Molly about trying to limit purchases because of suitcase space 😂. That is one of my worst enemies when traveling!

The food at themed cafes is notoriously terrible. You are really just going for the experience. I have been to quite a few and i can say that the Kirby Cafe hands down has the best food (Good luck getting a reservation here though) however that is not saying much lol. Love the video!

I’m catching up with your first few Tokyo Disney videos right now and I gotta say, isn’t Kirin a beer company? Seeing beer advertised all over a Disney park surprises me lmao. I don’t exactly go to these parks myself though so there could be a Bud Light logo on Pirates of the Caribbean in Disney World too for all I know 😂
